We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful house! We were mostly out and about but always looked forward to getting back and relaxing. Next time we’re back in SD, we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent house and location!

Excellent property that worked perfect for our quick visit. Close to Liberty Station, Downtown and the beaches. The enclosed patio was perfect for our kids to opay and not have to worry.

Amazing experience in everyway

This home is decorated so beautifully.The courtyard is very beautiful with all the different types of palm trees, plants, pots & furniture. The hosts Bryan & Ann were excellent hosts on top of it all! This is a place you can’t wait to return to for sure!!!

A well located and charming place to stay

My family and I chose this location for a recent event nearby based on the numerous positive reviews. I don't have much to add other than to say the reviews are all accurate - great location, host was very accommodating and even suggested a few great local restaurants. If a little noise is an issue, it is located by a busy street and close to the airport, otherwise perfect. We would stay here again in the future.

Great place!

Great location near liberty station . Courtyard was amazing with patio heaters for cooler nights. All the rooms rooms were very comfortable.

Love it!

Girls trip

Great Local Stay

The wife and I were having work done at the house and stayed here for a few nights.. Bryan was super helpful and the house is really lovely. Accommodating side area for pets to use restroom, etc. Easy stay.

Perfect location and surroundings

One of the best vacations my two teenagers and I have had in a long time and this house is major reason why. We were within minutes from all the top spots. The owners do a wonderful job with making you feel at home and helping with plans. Without a doubt we will stay again when we come back to enjoy the rest of San Diego!

A Little Bit of Liberty

Really enjoyed staying at this home for a three day/two night getaway. The patio was our favorite - beautiful landscaping with comfortable furniture. It was very relaxing. At no time did we find the steet noise or airplane takeoffs to be disruptive. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be near the walking paths and unique offerings of Liberty Station. We would definitely book here again!

Great place with beautiful courtyard

Close to restaurants, cafés and quick walk to liberty Station Park with canal views. Courtyard is beautiful and feels like a tropical paradise. Hosts live next door but was not a problem as they were very sweet and helpful.

Best. Host. Ever.

You will not find a better host than this one. Extremely accommodating, friendly and really truly wants you to have a stress free time at this property. The pictures do this house no justice. Very warm and inviting, decorated cozy and well. Description is accurate. Had a lovely time here.

Stayed in many VRBO in this area, this one is the best one yet!!

My daughter has been at PLNU for 4 years, so needless to say I have stayed in plenty of VRBOs in the area during this time. Big Pink is my favorite, so far! Great location, walk to Liberty Station for best coffee shop in town (Moniker), brew house (Stone Brewery), Marketplace, gym, Trader Joes, Vons, etc. The house is roomy and feels like home. The courtyard is spacious and tropical ambiance offers a real get-away feel!! We will def stay again someday! Thanks Bryan!!!

BEAUTFIUL HOME / MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE

Me and my partner had an AMAZING time at this property hosted by Bryan and Annie. We did not expect to walk in such a beautiful home. The amount of space that was offered was more than we needed. Not only was the house more than we expected, but the owners were beyond nice. They were attentive to all our needs and made sure we were happy with our stay! Couldn’t have asked for better hosts! Hope to stay again soon!

Very Nice

Very nicely furnished property with unique decorations and antiques. Bryan is a wealth of knowledge on local sights and restaurants. The provided beach towels were much appreciated! Central location was close to harbor, Balboa Park, Cabrillo Monument (great views), and Mission Bay, and an easy drive to Coronado and La Jolla. Liberty Station provides a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We don't like to cook on vacation, so the microwave, toaster, mini-fridge, and coffee maker were all we needed. The movie collection was extensive, and we enjoyed watching an old favorite "Biloxi Blues". The Big Pink provided us with a *much* more relaxing vacation than we would have had in a cramped hotel room. Thanks for the stay!

Great Thanksgiving Vacation

My family and I rented out The Big Pink for Thanksgiving week. Our hosts were gracious and welcoming and always checked in to see that we were having a good time or needed anything. We were made aware that there was no kitchen, which was fine as we ate out most of the time on vacation. The location is central to so much of what we like to do while in San Diego, and Liberty Station is literally just across the street. Bryan went out of his way to help when we needed a few items, and we would definitely consider staying at the property again. Tastefully decorated and private. We never felt as if we were in someone else’s home. The home gave us a place to chill with our family all together during this time. Our hosts and their kindness are much appreciated.

Great stay at Big Pink

My girlfriends and I had a great stay at Big Pink! The location is perfect. We were never more than 15 mins away from our destinations, whether it was Gaslamp, the airport or the water. Bryan and his wife were so friendly and accommodating. They gave us a quick tour upon arrival, made it clear that if we needed anything to just holler and gave us lots of privacy. The house is amazing. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Bryan provided us with extra cots and bedding, along with beach towels which was perfect because everyone forgot theirs! There is not a full kitchen but the kitchenette was equipped with coffee/tea, a mini fridge, disposable cups and plates, as well as lots of snacks. The house had a great sound system and TV, as well as a gas fireplace. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back in the future!

Felt at home almost immediately!

We enjoyed a nice weekend getaway with our adult children all coming from different places, and could not have found a better place to enjoy each other's company. The house is charming and everywhere you look, there is something interesting to see. The morning sun coming through the living room window was my favorite. Proximity to the airport was a plus for us, as we were picking up and dropping off and wanted to maximize the time we had to spend together. The best way to enjoy family is in a home that feels like a home, and Big Pink did that for us from the start. With the privacy of three separate bedroom but the communal areas of the living room and the cozy courtyard, it was just perfect. We played board games and filled the house with laughter. The house is in a lovely neighborhood conducive to walks along the harbor. Bryan and Annie could not have been any nicer. I highly recommend this house, and will certainly be back whenever we are in San Diego.

Nice house...

We stayed at the Big Pink for three nights, leaving a day early. Pros: owner Bryan is super responsive in his communications and very warm and welcoming. The house is built very well. Solid walls. Arch doorways. Bedrooms are spacious. Two stories with all three bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. Courtyard is adorable and sunny while we were there. Plentiful heat. Cons: no kitchen. Beds are squeaky and very uncomfortable. Pillows are lumpy. Furniture covers every inch of house so it's very cluttered, including the courtyard. No bottled water as SoCal water tastes quite nasty. No washer/dryer. All in all, the house is as described.

Beautiful home and wonderful hosts

We had a great 3-day stay. It's a beautiful home, and Bryan and Annie are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us and our dog. Bryan gave us a tour of the house and spacious patio along with details on how everything worked. He stayed in touch with us via text when we had questions. We enjoyed several take-out meals in the lovely dining room. The mini kitchen area was stocked with coffee, tea, water, soft drinks. The fridge is a good size and Bryan provided ice cubes in the freezer. Microwave made it convenient to reheat food. There are a few plates and plastic cutlery in the kitchen. If you have a lot of food to serve, you may want to get some extras with your takeout order. The house is close to San Diego airport, so it's an easy drive if you're flying in. Bryan was very considerate to provide ear plugs to help with the noise from planes flying over. There are endless choices of things to do and great restaurants. We went to Fiesta Island dog park, Ocean Beach, Coronado Island, and had a delicious dinner at Puesto. This home is a wonderful place to stay while exploring San Diego!

Point Loma Pink House

Overall, our stay was fine. Good location, clean, close to Pechenga Arena and excellent restaurants. Served our purpose well. I gave it 3 stars because there were two important negatives: The parking was challenging. Only room for one vehicle in front of the house on a hill. Upon turning around in the driveway we damaged the front of our car on a low wall that is very difficult to see. Expensive repair on a new Porsche Cayanne GTS. Might be difficult for older persons. Although it is not stated, there is no kitchen. Only a small bar sink and a mini refrigerator in a very small, cluttered area. Since we were two couples and did not plan to cook, it was not a problem for us. However, I feel it should be stated in the description that there is no kitchen should you arrive expecting one.
