Hi Kristine! Thank you again for choosing our property and taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad that everyone had a wonderful time together and we were able to provide a spacious lodging option with great amenities as well as providing you a new wheelchair ramp as a last minute request. I just want to mention that the hot tub was working perfectly fine as we discussed. My handyman arrived, and the temperature was at 102f which was what you left it at. Again, when the outdoor temperature drops to 59f at night, it will take the hot tub more time to heat up. This is the case with any hot tub or machine trying to fight the elements. Yes, on a hot day when it's 90f outside, the hot tub will rise much faster. This is normal. Thank you for suggestion on a second fridge, as discussed, we are actually in the process of getting a second one. My cleaner also did leave kitchen towels, so I am not sure what happened here, but either way I do apologize. We do value your business and feedback. Hi Liz Thanks again for choosing our property for your stay and for your feedback. I think it’s fair to note here that you wanted to cancel this trip and receive a full refund a few days prior to your check in. Unfortunately you did not have a reason near an extenuating circumstance that would grant you a refund. As you stated, our property is as advertised and the rate is fair based on the market rate in the area. I’m confused on your other comments however… One person in your group got MOSQUITO BITES. Again, there’s nothing I can do to prevent that. Although you tried to get a financial gain out of this, I’m sorry, that is not related to our property. This is the Poconos and there are bugs out in nature. You may use sprays or just avoid certain attractions if you wish. Our house rules are listed on the listing. The only monetary item mentioned is the $500 penalty for any fireworks set. Other house rules that would incur a charge to your deposit are very common, such as major damages would incur charges. This is for every rented house. So there is no need to sit in the house in fear as long as you don’t set fireworks or damage the property. Same as if you were in your own home, someone else’s home, hotel, restaurant, etc. I’m sorry this was not a five star experience for you as that is what I shoot for. If you stay at any of our properties in the future, please bring any concerns up during your stay and not days after so I can address them immediately. Thank you for staying with Sweet Escapes

Hi Cristina, Thanks again for choosing our property for your 6 day vacation to celebrate the New Year. Holidays such as Christmas break and New Year's Eve are one of the most demanded weeks of the year, hence the rate is higher. However, I figure you must have known that knew when booking... Regarding the wifi, you sent me a screenshot of your cellphone and the one bar was your ATT signal and our WIFI WAS FULL BARS. I responded to you but you didn't respond back so I'm not sure if you are still confused about that. I still have your screenshot and my response if you need clarification. We have never had wifi issues in the house. Either way, I'm glad everyone had a great time and was able to enjoy everything the property has to offer. Stay safe and be well!

Hi Karen. Thank you for leaving us a review. I want to note that you’re the first and only guest that has ever complained about our towels. But we take every feedback seriously so I will check on the softness of the towels to ensure we don’t get this feedback again. As for the hot tub, you had told me that only your two sons went in it for 20 minutes during the entire trip and asked for a refund. I’m sorry, but our policy does not issue refunds to our guests if they changed their mind on using it. It would be nearly impossible to get a rash if you were only in it for 20 minutes. To avoid further back and forth from your demands, I still issued you a refund for the hot tub which I felt was beyond fair. Nonetheless, Thank you again for choosing our house for your stay.

Hi Steve, Thank you for leaving us a positive review! It was a pleasure having you as a guest. I'm sorry to hear about there being a room that was cold at night. In the future, please let us know right away while you are at the property so we can look into it for you. This is the first time we are hearing about this. Which room was it? And was it one or two rooms? We don't have any heating or cooling issues as both furnaces in the house are new and installed in 2018. Please let me know so I can address it for future guests.
