Familie Lakefront ferie destination på smukke Embden Pond (Lake).

Har dronning soveværelse, og to soveværelser har køjesenge og enkeltsenge. Også enkelt soveværelse beliggende på midterste etage. Stort dæk med picnicborde og også screenet i veranda. Lejrbål på vandet med s'mores og loon opkald. Stor dock over 40 fod lang, der giver dig mulighed for at nyde solen og alle vandaktiviteter. Hjemmet er udstyret med GRATIS WIFI. Fuld ovnsvarme, aircondition er alle forudsat. Har flot kyster, som det kan ses på billederne. Den forreste græsplæne kan bruges til en række sjove aktiviteter. Stort køkken fyldt med apparater som gaskomfur, opvaskemaskine, køleskab, mikroovn. Stedet har en walkout-kælder og et ekstra cementdæk under verandaen. Udlejning af båd- og jetski er muligvis tilgængelige på bestemte tidspunkter af året mod ekstra gebyrer. Området har nogle af de bedste jagt- og snescooterstier i Maine. Snowmobilers har adgang til alle de store trailersystemer gennem hele staten. Hvis du kan lide at fiske, fiske fra kanoen eller leje en båd hos os. Regel nummer et er at slappe af, og regel nummer to er glæde.

“Picture perfect” stay once again! Would not look elsewhere! The accommodations are comfortable welcoming and inclusive. Just Fabulous !

We have been loving this camp and the pond for over 25 years. Sharing it with our children as young teens and now as adults, and grandchildren ! We cannot say enough wonderful things about this lakefront destination. Spacious, comfortable, welcoming, close to any forgotten or needed supplies, a few steps to the cleanest pond, able to have the boat we rented at the dock, wonderful neighbors... A very special home away from home minus any stress :)

We made the best of it!

The location is lovely. Unfortunately, the weather we had was consistently not great, so we were pretty bummed. We were also a little surprised at the state of the place for the price. We understand a few things needing a fix/refresh, though there were several on the list. Communication with the hosts was great as there were several things that weren't ready for us when we arrived which they took care of quickly. Our toddler was thrilled by the bunk beds and had so much fun in the yard and we saw a couple loons and were able to kayak a couple times and see the stars the last night. Also grateful for the kind and conscientious neighbors. Next time hopefully the sun will shine more and we can swim without shivering!

Embden is a secret treasure of Maine

Beautiful property well cared for and on the pristine Embden Pond. Can’t imagine vacationing anywhere else.

Wonderful Getaway for a large family

Our third year staying here with four generations of our family (newest addition - 6 month old, most senior person - great grandmother). The addition of the 36" Blackstone griddle this year was a game changer for meal time. Could cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 8-10 people at the same time with easy clean up! We brought an air conditioner for the one room without one, otherwise, every amenity was just as we needed. The newly built dock worked to secure our boat as well as having ample space to lounge by the lake for those wanting to stay ashore. Hosts are responsive and very delightful to speak and work with if anything comes up. Would recommend to any family looking for a relaxing time on a beautiful Maine lake.

Great Place!

Thank you so much for having your place available for the solar eclipse! We were able to experience totality, and it was amazing! Perfect view from the deck! Check in and out were super easy. Great communication with the hosts, and quick responses to all my questions leading up to our stay, since there was a Nor'Easter headed that way. The views of the pond were great! Quiet road, at least for us during winter time. The house had all the utensils and cookwear we needed, water pressure was great! Thank you again for sharing your place with us!

Love it!

Awesome shorefront, firepit right by the water, dock for a boat or jetski, and a nice big yard! The camp is big with lots of beds, 2 bathrooms, and they do have air conditioners, which was nice!

Relaxing

This is our fourth summer vacationing at this property and we just love it. Already booked again for next year. Beautiful view of the lake from the front porch to just sit and enjoy the quiet, peaceful mornings. Plenty of room if you have a large family. Mark and Pat are wonderful.

Relaxation at waters edge in picturesque Maine

We’ve been to the Paine cabin many times. We love the location, the large size of the cabin, conveniences like dishwasher and two bathrooms. We also love the large yard for family gatherings. And the JetSki lift makes it very convenient to use our JetSki daily!!

Relaxation on a beautiful lake

This is our third summer staying here, we love it so much we stayed two weeks this year. Looking forward to next Summer all ready.

Great house, lots of space

We rented for a week and had six adult children, two with partners, and a grandmother, 10 in all. There was plenty of bedrooms and beds for everyone to have their own space. The kitchen was well supplied, the firewood was plentiful and Mark was prompt in getting back to us by text with any question we had. We had a boat and were able to have it on the dock all week. The lake is beautiful and the water crystal clear. It was a delightful week for everyone.

Fantastic vacation

My family enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of room for all of us. It is very comfortable there and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Large lawn for games and we enjoyed the big deck and screened in porch. The property owners were great. Highly recommend this place

A Perfect Vacation

This was my 4th visit and, once again, I can't say enough. The check-in process is flawless, the camp is clean, ready, and welcoming. I use the camp for my ski vacations at Sugarloaf and the drive to and from the mountain is relaxing and just the right distance to get ready for a great day on the mountain in the morning and to unwind afterward. It is also close to relatively close to Skowhegan, Madison, and even Farmington for groceries or anything I might have forgotten. All in all, the camp a great place to stay. Ed

Great Vacation

Once again, it's hard to say enough nice things about this place and the owners. It's my third stay there and, for Sugarloaf, it is truly my home away from home. The camp is comfortable, well furnished, just far enough/close enough from the mountain to give me time to get ready for the day and wind down after a fantastic day on the slopes. Its proximity to Skowhegan, Farmington, and Madison is, in a word - perfect. All are easy to get to for shopping, groceries, and gas for the car. I will be going there again. Ed

Relaxing beautiful getaway

It was beautiful! We loved every relaxing moment of our stay. We were a little apprehensive about the cleanliness of the place, but it’s a camp what do you expect. I wiped down just about everything when we got there for “Covid” reasons, but all in all decent place. Would recommend and would stay again!

Spring Skiing

This was my second time at Mark's camp. Again, there were no complaints, it became that home away from home, it's that comfortable and welcoming. For me, the location is perfect. It's not on the mountain, and I was there to ski Sugarloaf, but the drive was a great way to build up for the day and unwind after a great day on the slopes. Also, the camp relatively close to Madison, Skowhegan, and Farmington to where shopping doesn't present a problem. I will be returning. As I said, I feel like it's home when I'm there. Ed

Great in Winter, too

We stayed for a week in February to relax and do a little ice fishing. Mark’s cabin was warm and comfortable. He was helpful and accommodating which made out stay enjoyable. Even the neighbors were helpful (one drilled holes in the ice for us) and friendly. We hope to be back...maybe in warmer weather.

Great Getaway

Luck was on my side when I came across this gem for my annual December getaway to Sugarloaf. Even with it located off the mountain a short distance, the drive turned into a great way to build up for the day and to unwind on the way home. Yeah, I called it "home," a home away from home that gave me that feeling. Mark, the owner, couldn't have been more welcoming and cordial, calling a couple time just to see how things were going. (And what an interesting guy!) The place was (is), truly, everything it was (is) advertised to be. As I said, it was my home away from home... spotlessly clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Who could ask for more? I will definitely be coming back and I've put it on the very top of my list... just hope it's available for me the next time. Ed

Wonderful relaxng cabin on the lake

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Very homey and well equipped. Some of the mattresses could stand to replaced, fine for kids but not for old bones. We love it on Embden Pond, clean and close to home. Will definitely come back again.

Camp was built in 92, but older camp that was there has been in the family since the early 60's. Local family that grew up in central Maine and know and appreciate how very special this location is.

This has lake is always listed in the top cleanest lakes in all of Maine. This is a very valuable property based on this.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Picture yourself grilling steaks on the front deck while the kids are jumping off the dock. After enjoying the Lake all day, start a fire in the pit near the water, and just bond as a unit. Clearly special times that our family has enjoyed, and now are letting others enjoy it as well.
