Our stay at the retreat of falling waters was great! We planned a trip for exploring the finger lakes and it fit the bill for us nicely! Everything was clean when we arrived and in working order. I think the outdoor area could use some landscaping love but it didn't take away from the overall experience.

Cozy

Our stay was great. I couldn't have asked for anything else. Waking up to a waterfall every morning brought a smile toy face. Being able to have my dod with me was perfect. Then there was the hot tub that ended each day. It was so nice that we actually looked to book again.

Awesome property!

Exactly as advertised, perfect place to stay instead of a hotel for a concert at CMAC. Will definitely book again!

the waterfall at this location is relaxing. It is easy to get to and has all needed items. It was a peaceful stay.

Great location and easy check in but needed a good cleaning

It was a good location with great wineries, restaurants and hiking nearby. Also very dog friendly, peaceful and quiet. However, the place needed a good cleaning.

Comfortable and nice

The cabin was exactly what we wanted and would recommend it to anyone looking to rent a cabin in that area. The hot tub was really nice to soak in and being pet friendly was perfect for us we truly enjoyed our stay

Little getaway

Excellent hideaway with waterfall!

The property and house were excellent and the waterfall was beautiful. Learned after arriving that there was no wi-fi, but overall our stay was great!

Peaceful and Relaxing

This cottage is located in a secluded area where you have your privacy but very close to all the activities in the area. All the extras are wonderful, especially the hot tub.

Quiet, Beautiful Location

The location was beautiful, with gorgeous views and surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, the internet did not work for the duration of our stay. The owner was responsive, but unable to resolve the issue until after our 4 day stay. Thankfully, our cell service worked fine and we were able to use our mobile hotspot for internet during our stay. The house was comfortable, although not as clean as I would have liked at check-in. (In particular the floors and floor coverings) The water had a strong odor, and we needed to buy water for drinking and cooking. This was noted in the check-in notes that were sent with the door code, but not made clear in the listing. There is a small grocery store and a Dollar General about 5 minutes away, so this was not an issue.

Very serene

Stayed a couple nights to escape the craziness of everyday life. The view from the screen porch/hot tub area and living room window is simply beautiful (even for a NY Winter) The waterfalls was running and just completes a certain calmness. Don't be fooled by it being off a main road. Not much traffic and minimal heard from up at/in the cottage. The cottage was clean and very cozy. The owner was very attentive in our communications, he went over and beyond to make sure my stay was the best it could be.... Will be booking again in the Fall (can't imagine the view) if not sooner. Overall exactly what was needed.

Relaxing getaway nestled in the woods

The house is nestled in the hillside, surrounded by woods. It's very relaxing. Lovely big picture windows keep the view front and center. The hot tub is a nice touch. The waterfall wasn't running when we arrived, but an overnight rain got it going -- a lovely sight to wake up to and enjoy at the kitchen table while having coffee. A couple of little hitches along the way, but the owner is very quick to respond. The only negative would be the sulfur smell of the well water. If you've never experienced that before, it will take you by surprise. Bring your own drinking water. The town and surrounding area is terrific. Monica's Pies, Inspire Moore winery, and Roots cafe are musts!

Falling waters

While the location of the house was great-close to town, close to a hiking trail, great for pets-the property itself needs some tlc. I had to wash the shower curtain liner-it was gross with mold. The bottom of the shower had paint peeling off and paint chips were blocking the drain. There was no dish washing liquid and no dishwasher and we were expected to wash all the dishes on departure. No hand soap in the bathroom. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and the living room was a good place to hang out-great view out the front windows.

Winter weekend getaway

We had a nice time relaxing at this cabin in Naples NY. This was our second time staying here. The waterfall in the backyard is so nice to see and hear. It was a great view from the kitchen table while drinking coffee in the morning. The hot tub was great! The only thing i would like to see is an easier way to remove and replace the hot tub cover as it is heavy and needed 2 of us to move. Otherwise, we loved the hot tub! The place is private and not a lot of sound from traffic. There is a bit of a hike from the parking area to the cabin. Nothing we couldn't handle but it would be something to consider if someone has knee or health problems that make going up hill a problem. They made some improvements since our first stay which was in 2021 such as a new hot tub, the hot tub is no longer enclosed so you can watch the stars while you soak, new furniture in the living room, and a system to treat the sulfur water. We did not smell sulfur at all. We really have enjoyed both of our stays at this cabin and we hope to stay again in the future.

Leaves Alot to Be Desired

While the owner is responsive, the overall conditions were disappointing. The headboard on the back bedroom bed banged against the wall every time you moved in the bed. The flatware and dishes were very dirty and need to be washed before using. The 1st bedroom mattress had no bed bug cover just the fitted sheet over a bare mattress. The Chair in the TV Room had a throw over it covering up a poor condition upholstery,tears shreaded arms. The initial entrance into the space was overally perfumed and was very offensive to our senses. That sort of entrance means that odors are being covered up. The owner needs to be transparent about the well water right from the get go before you rent. It has a strong smell. The grill grids were so filthy I would not place food directly on it to grill. The way this home is presented on VRBO via pictures does not meet the actual conditions of the home. Would not rent again.

I give the beauty of the property a 5 star, the inside was mostly updated with beautiful views of the property. It was clean The outside needs to be cleaned and freshened up with paint minor repairs and furniture. It does not have a welcome feelThe inside could use some extension cords with power stripes had to move furniture to get to plugs and some did not work, the tv in bedroom did not work, the microwave had no handle, there was no coffee, shampoo or body soap, the towels were worn The overall feel was lacking hospitality so many minor things that would make it a 5 star.

What a lovely place to spend our second anniversary! The house was exactly as described. The waterfall was not running, but we can’t blame Mother Nature. The hot tub was delightful after a busy day of visiting breweries and wineries. Thank you for offering such a lovely get away in the Finger Lakes!

The propoerty was just as described on website. Loved the hot tub and the fall scenery couldn't be better. The shops and places to eat were great and the wine tasting and grape pies in Naples were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!!!

We recently stayed several weeks at the Falling Waters house near Naples, NY, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent — within a five-minute drive, the town has two wineries, two breweries, and one distillery, which made for a fun and relaxing getaway. The surrounding area is beautiful, with rolling hills and scenic views, perfect for enjoying the Finger Lakes region. The house itself is comfortable and well-equipped, including two bedrooms, full kitchen and a large hot tub, making it easy to settle in and feel at home with the opportunity of bringing our pet. We especially appreciated the peaceful setting with a beautiful view of a waterfall and the convenient access to local attractions within a short drive, including mansions, museums and theaters in PennYan, Geneva, Genesee and Canandaigua.One small suggestion for improvement would be to replace a portable air conditioner in the master bedroom. During hot weather, the current unit is quite old and mostly works as a fan, which makes the room too warm and less comfortable for sleeping. A newer, more efficient unit would make a big difference for summer guests.Overall, this rental is a great choice for anyone looking to spend time outdoors doing hiking, boating and to enjoy wines and beers in the Naples area while staying in a cozy, well-located home.

Retreat of Falling Waters lives up to the property name!

Our stay at the Retreat of Falling Waters was nothing short of magical. We loved exploring the waterfall, playing the board games provided, and enjoying meals at the quaint kitchen table. Just plan to bring your own drinking water because the well water connected to the property isn’t really safe to drink! Thank you so much to the incredibly communicative host!

I am no strangers to all the fun things this area has to offer as we own several rentals in the Finger Lakes , Twisted Rail Brewing Company with 4 locations to enjoy, and avid outdoor enthusiasts. As a single father with two young children Lyra and Luca, I stay plenty busy making sure our guests feel comfortable and have the best experience possible. I invite all our guests to stop by our brewery which has locations on Canandaigua Lake, Honeoye Lake, Downtown Geneva and Macedon NY. I also have 3 other vacation rentals in the same area which each have their own charm and appeal.
