It’s very difficult to respond to this review when it contains so many misrepresentations of the details. However unfortunately a break-in was reported upon discovery (at 10.45am, no mention of any disturbance during the night) and naturally we were extremely concerned and sorry that the incident had occurred and took immediate to secure the property ie: contacting a carpenter, as it was a Friday. Subsequently we have now taken additional measures to ensure it does not happen again. However I would hope that the previous 27 reviews that have all given five stars and mentioned how responsive we have been gives cause to question the renters approach to the situation and to the compensation outcome they were looking for. Within less than three hours of the notification of the loss of the $700-800usd cash that was left on the kitchen counter, a carpenter was on property to secure the alleged broken window and the guests had left. Twenty minutes later the police arrived. As explained at the time, the known break-ins were one 3 years and one 4 years ago and we have checked with owners and staff and NO OTHER "breakins" have occurred in Villa 6 or otherwise. (FYI Villa 6 housekeeper also works at villa 10, which had the break-in 3 years ago) Anyway in the 15 years of owning two properties here and letting them for the last 10, this is the first time we have had such an incident and naturally we are only sorry it occurred.
