Komplet køkken (el-komfur m / ovn, køleskab og mikroovn) med separat spiseplads. Stue m / TV, WIFI, og DVD. A / C & elvarme. Udenfor skur til opbevaring, samt en stor parkeringsplads. Bygget i 1901 m / lavere end gennemsnitlige lofter.
Ingen kæledyr eller indenfor rygning. Kunne sove op til 6 Inkluderer også en afsondret mursten gårdhave omgivet af træer, omfatter en kullgrill, picnic bord og ildring. Kabinen er beliggende inden for gåafstand af et naturskønt område lige udenfor Mississippi-floden. Floden ses fra stue, soveværelse og spisestue. Statsejet ejendom langs floden ligger kun få meter væk og er tilgængelig til dine udendørs aktiviteter og boldspil. Ørn visning i vintermånederne og vandreture gennem skoven eller langs floden kan alle begynde på denne hyttes fredelige beliggenhed.

My spouse and I stayed at Julie’s quaint and cozy little cabin during Geodefest in nearby Keokuk. We also took an afternoon to explore Nauvoo. The location off the highway made for easy and short trips to both locations. The cabin was very clean and I was very surprised and impressed by the A/C’s ability to keep the whole place comfortably cool. While it is readily apparent that the cabin is over 100yo, the immense character adds to the charm. All the furniture is comfortable and appliances work perfectly. The garden is also beautiful and the swing in front of the cabin has the perfect view of the sunset over the river. My only word of caution for others would be that the floors are slanted, so if you suffer from vertigo or other balance issues like I do, it might take a bit getting used to. However, this did not make the cabin any less of a relaxing respite in our travels!

Clean and cozy. Had everything you would need. Bed was nice. Parking was ok, driveway right off busy hwy. Careful pulling out on to it. Definitely read the description. Ceiling height and floors being wonky is 100% true

Cute, quiet and quirky little cabin. Very clean and the backyard/patio is gorgeous with all the plants and flowers. Felt very secluded. We will be back

What a great cabin! The host is fantastic very easy to communicate with. The location is perfect right across from the beautiful Mississippi, lots of beautiful nature. Got lots of photos of the deer , frogs etc. The flowers are stunning all around the property. A lot has gone into this place with nothing left out for a fantastic stay. Most definitely found our place to go and unwind for sure, plus is it’s only around 2 hour drive. What a GEM!!!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful cabin.

Cute quiet clean enjoyable private little cabin

Adorable older cabin, but is very nicely decorated. Clean and presentable with nice amenities. Outside is welcoming also with a wonderful patio having much to enjoy. Only concern was soft flooring in kitchen. Bed could have been a little more comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! The cabin was extremely clean, had everything we needed (towels, bedding, basic kitchen supplies), and the ac unit kept up even in the heat wave we were experiencing (plus there are several fans you can move where desired). It has a beautiful view of the river, and the outdoor garden/patio space is stunning. The host even shared some tomatoes and peppers with us - yum! Yes, the floors are wonky and the ceiling is low in places, but it adds to the unique character of the place (granted, a 6ft person may be bothered more by the ceiling height in places, but we weren’t). Our kids loved this place and we’d stay here again! Great price, location, and overall stay! Thank you!

Love this cabin experience!

This is a historic fishing cabin. It’s quirky but Julie has worked hard to keep it clean. The decor makes it quaint and cute. She is always assessable and do kind. We have stayed here on multiple occasions and have enjoyed it.

Just Slept Here

To be honest, I pretty much just slept here at night I didn’t do much else. The listing is perfectly accurate, so you should know exactly what you’re getting. The porch swing and view of the Mississippi, especially at night, is incredible.

While the hostess is very gracious and the property as clean as possible, the reality is it is still a cabin built in 1901. It has a very musty old building smell, electrical would never pass any inspection as it is all wired extension cords glue/tacked up to the walls. The floors being very unlevel is also more then just an old building. When you put newer' stick on vinyl in, you still have to do some leveling work subflooring. Shower is also not level to where the water will pool to one corner at times since it was added later with the same lack of subflooring. The outdoor patio area is quite nice however and the cabin itself is tastefully decorated, just has structural and electrical issues that are not typical even of a refurbished property.

Crooked cabin with character

Cabin built in early 1900s and retrofitted with electricity and modern amenities. Simple but comfortable. Kitchen floor was not solid-feeling and took awhile to get used to. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom supplies. Relaxing.

Our Getaway

Julie has a wonderful gem in this cabin and she is one hard working woman! We stayed 5 nights and loved the calm, sweet feeling of the space. It’s so comfy with beautiful river views and surrounded by trees and nature sounds. Very convenient, close to restaurants and stores, easy to find but yet separate and quiet. Julie has taken great care of this property and takes great care of her guests! We will be back for sure!

Beautiful spot, but read the reviews to know what you're getting

My kids were extatic to see the place. They loved the "tiny house". I loved the gardens and view. We had everything we needed, except wifi. That really through us through a loop because my husband needed wifi to work remotely and that's one thing I made sure was in the listing. However, their wifi was out of order and I would have liked to be notified by the owner. FYI- if you need something from the owner you'll have to call. She did not respond to texts. I was not prepared for the slanted and soft floors. My kids thought it was cool though. There are no interior doors, except for the bathroom, but we couldn't get it to lock. Shower worked great. There's only one bed. All the kids slept on cots and air mattresses. There were lots of games and toys for the kids to play with. We had a good stay overall.

Great Location

Great location with an amazing view of the Mississippi. Landscaping in front is lovely. Much work being done in back so I don't know about that. The cabin had everything we needed but it is quirky--like being on a boat with floors that slanted every which way. So fine and even fun if your ankles are strong. Not new, but unique with a great view.

Great little place

Nice place. Very comfortable and welcoming. Beautiful lot with great views of the river. Enjoyed a fire and the quiet in the evenings. Very easy check in and communication. Really enjoyed our stay!

Welcome! I'm Julie and I live just up the driveway from the cabin. My Dad built the home I live in, and I grew up on this hill. As you can see from the cabin, I love flowers and enjoy that as one of my many past times.

Since I am a local, I feel that I am a good resource for some of the local happenings in the area. Feel free to contact me. I might know of special events and activities in the area that are happening during the time of your stay.

Being a property owner to the cabin has been an adventure. The cabin has its unique personality that isn't necessarily fitting to each person. However, those who have stayed have seemed to enjoy its charm. It is also nice to meet many of the guests who choose to stay.

I am happy to accommodate some requests. My hope is that you enjoy the views of the Mississippi River and can disconnect from the hustle of the modern day. Sometimes we just need that break!

This is a nature-lovers dream, in my opinion. The neighbors are quiet, but kind. The ever-changing river throughout the seasons create different views to enjoy. And, you never know if you will see the "most beautiful" sunset. This area was my childhood home and I loved it then and love it now. The charm mixed with the nature is very enjoyable to me and I hope it is to others as well.

The cabin has been standing since 1901...that alone is amazing to me. This property has more room inside than you would think. Despite some of the uneven floors and lower ceilings, the cabin is not on a rustic level, but it also isn't like a brand-new build with all the modern bells and whistles.

Overall, the view from this Cozy Cabin is amazing. From the Mississippi River to the birds and other wildlife in the area it can be seen from the living room. Romantic sunsets can be enjoyed often. Not everyplace has these views!
