Komplet køkken (el-komfur m / ovn, køleskab og mikroovn) med separat spiseplads. Stue m / TV, WIFI, og DVD. A / C & elvarme. Udenfor skur til opbevaring, samt en stor parkeringsplads. Bygget i 1901 m / lavere end gennemsnitlige lofter.
Ingen kæledyr eller indenfor rygning. Kunne sove op til 6 Inkluderer også en afsondret mursten gårdhave omgivet af træer, omfatter en kullgrill, picnic bord og ildring. Kabinen er beliggende inden for gåafstand af et naturskønt område lige udenfor Mississippi-floden. Floden ses fra stue, soveværelse og spisestue. Statsejet ejendom langs floden ligger kun få meter væk og er tilgængelig til dine udendørs aktiviteter og boldspil. Ørn visning i vintermånederne og vandreture gennem skoven eller langs floden kan alle begynde på denne hyttes fredelige beliggenhed.

Treat the Cozy Cabin with respect and love! Pick up after yourself, dishes done, trash out, and laundry taken to back door before checking out.

Parking is allowed just off the highway or right next to the cabin. DO NOT block the driveway!

Very beautiful very relaxing everything we needed was at the cabin or close by would highly recommend you stay and bring a boat also u don't wanna miss out the fishing spots !!!!

Just Slept Here

To be honest, I pretty much just slept here at night I didn’t do much else. The listing is perfectly accurate, so you should know exactly what you’re getting. The porch swing and view of the Mississippi, especially at night, is incredible.

river viewing

great little place right on river, very good access to all areas around the cabin and close to town for dinners and drinks.

House built in 1901 so has uneven floors, but you couldn’t ask for a more charming place. So clean accommodations and everything you need to make your stay pleasurable. I would recommend and will be booking it again!!

Our Getaway

Julie has a wonderful gem in this cabin and she is one hard working woman! We stayed 5 nights and loved the calm, sweet feeling of the space. It’s so comfy with beautiful river views and surrounded by trees and nature sounds. Very convenient, close to restaurants and stores, easy to find but yet separate and quiet. Julie has taken great care of this property and takes great care of her guests! We will be back for sure!

Crooked cabin with character

Cabin built in early 1900s and retrofitted with electricity and modern amenities. Simple but comfortable. Kitchen floor was not solid-feeling and took awhile to get used to. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom supplies. Relaxing.

Great Location

Great location with an amazing view of the Mississippi. Landscaping in front is lovely. Much work being done in back so I don't know about that. The cabin had everything we needed but it is quirky--like being on a boat with floors that slanted every which way. So fine and even fun if your ankles are strong. Not new, but unique with a great view.

Adorable!

Very cute and clean! Had family come over for lunch and had everything we needed, dishes, grill.. etc. Great sitting space for everyone outside and indoors. It was so nice to be able to host a get together for everyone, this place was such a blessing! Thank you Julie!

Great location! Picture-perfect sunsets!

Great little cottage in the perfect location! We got there just in time to see the most beautiful sunset right over the river! Stunning! There were several little quirky things about the cottage because of its age, but in our opinion, they just made it even more charming. There was a problem with the Wifi apparently because of the massive storm that hit the area earlier in the summer, but we made due without. I would definitely recommend!

Pleasant stay along the River in Hamilton

This cozy cottage is well furnished with many attractive touches. There are also games, DVD movies and books for all ages. There is a dining room table, which we also used to play games on. The recliner chair and platform rocker and couch were most comfortable. There was an air conditioner in the dining room. and for cool days a space heater in the living room. We were well pleased with our stay.

Crooked cabin is comfy too

The river cabin is very very clean, and has everything you need for a stay. Great communication with the nice owner! Very comfy bed and couch, seating around the dining room table for plenty as well. Yes, the floors tilt in many directions and the ceiling is low in the back part of the kitchen.. it is a river cabin built in 1901 after all, but very tall 6'+ may need to watch out, but wasn't a problem. Just have your sea legs on and enjoy the unique stay! The living room, swing, and picnic table views to the river are great! And the bed is level and very, very comfy. If we find ourselves back in this area I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Convenient location and view was nice. Place was clean overall, but cluttered, Traffic on road below noisy. Cabin was musty smelling. I realize the place was built some time ago, but really needs better maintenance - some window sash held shut / down with sticks of wood, some wouldn’t open at all to let air in (and air conditioner was so noisy I couldn’t sleep with it on), some crack out windows didn’t work at all, one blind in living room broke so we couldn’t open it, electricity would never pass an inspection (was running all over the walls to connect to outlets and lights), floors so uneven it felt like you were in a fun house with the floors moving up and down as you walked. Perhaps some people find some of this country charming, but it certainly wasn’t what I expected for the 4.7 out of 5 rating it had. The description did indicate the internet wasn’t totally reliable, however it never connected at all for the two nights we were there, and we had to change all the TV settings ourselves to get any regular (like NBC) type channels. Sorry, but this is the truth.

Welcome! I'm Julie and I live just up the driveway from the cabin. My Dad built the home I live in, and I grew up on this hill. As you can see from the cabin, I love flowers and enjoy that as one of my many past times.

Since I am a local, I feel that I am a good resource for some of the local happenings in the area. Feel free to contact me. I might know of special events and activities in the area that are happening during the time of your stay.

Being a property owner to the cabin has been an adventure. The cabin has its unique personality that isn't necessarily fitting to each person. However, those who have stayed have seemed to enjoy its charm. It is also nice to meet many of the guests who choose to stay.

I am happy to accommodate some requests. My hope is that you enjoy the views of the Mississippi River and can disconnect from the hustle of the modern day. Sometimes we just need that break!

This is a nature-lovers dream, in my opinion. The neighbors are quiet, but kind. The ever-changing river throughout the seasons create different views to enjoy. And, you never know if you will see the "most beautiful" sunset. This area was my childhood home and I loved it then and love it now. The charm mixed with the nature is very enjoyable to me and I hope it is to others as well.

The cabin has been standing since 1901...that alone is amazing to me. This property has more room inside than you would think. Despite some of the uneven floors and lower ceilings, the cabin is not on a rustic level, but it also isn't like a brand-new build with all the modern bells and whistles.

Overall, the view from this Cozy Cabin is amazing. From the Mississippi River to the birds and other wildlife in the area it can be seen from the living room. Romantic sunsets can be enjoyed often. Not everyplace has these views!
