Vinter solopgang eller sommer vand sjov, Waldins er et smukt tilflugtssted når som helst på året. Med udsigt over en million dollar lige ud tilbage er der ikke behov for at gå andre steder. Det moderne underholdningssystem og det moderne køkken giver alle de nødvendige udstyr til et behageligt ophold. På vandet uden den typiske "strandhus" -indretning er dette sted unikt med det sydvestlige styling og charme. Medbring dit vandlegetøj, læg på vores 150ft brygge og maksimere alt det område, der kan byde på. Lokal restaurant vandtaxi henter og leverer lånere lige fra vores dock. Nyd områdene ved havnefronten, barer, natteliv eller sidde på verandaen og se områdets skaldede ørne, andet dyreliv og passerende fartøjer. Tænd en lejrbål i baghaven, og friste dine sanser - ild og vand til en ægte privat strandoplevelse som ingen anden. Livet er godt her. Waldins nem adgang fra I95, nul strandtrafik og rolig lokalitet er den bedst bevarede hemmelighed på spidsen af Chesapeake-bugten.

Beautiful views and great host

Everything about this rental was easy, from check in to departure. We had one challenge with the TV and the host answered my text immediately and solved the issue for us. House was clean and as described in the listing. Highly recommend.

Peaceful stay

The water views, sunrises, and many local birds, including a nearby osprey nest, were all spectacular. The whole back of the house is a bank of windows (living room and master bedroom). It feels private as your view is just your outdoor lounge area, dock, and the water. No big downsides (minorly need space for tooth brushes as the sinks are mostly the sink bowls). Everything was clean,and comfortable. In similar off the beaten path vrbo's we've had lower cleanliness or ants, but not here! The location was good for day trips within a 30-90 minute drive.

Pictures don't do this place justice

This was a sisters week. We went to spend a little time together. The three bedrooms allowed each of us privacy when needed. Comfortable beds. The main bedroom has incredible views.I'm not a bird watcher, but with the binoculars in the drawer (4-5 pair) I enjoyed watching the birds: teal ducks, cranes, and many other birds that I don't know.The kitchen has beautiful dishes, pots and pans, and knives so no need to eat out unless you want.The three things are insufficient light, the hot water takes a whole to come on, and it's barely wheelchair/walker accessible. The wooden walk into the house is barely wide enough and slippery in rain. It also has two right angles to navigate. In the main section, my sister in the walker could get around but the doorways are not wide enough for a walker.

Family Mini Vacation

From booking to check out Matt was great! Property was clean and felt like home. The water view was beautiful and just sitting out and enjoying the water from the deck, the kids were in the water our entire stay or fishing off the pier. We definitely will be booking again!

Enjoyable Chesapeake Stay

Cute, up-to-date house, peaceful location, beautiful views. Well supplied kitchen, including sharp knives! Excellent communication with owner – prompt and helpful. Fast internet. Could use more bathroom surface areas; a few more hooks to hang clothes and towels; and an additional umbrella or two outside for shade. My mom, sister, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view

This is an adorable, clean, and well appointed cottage with an amazing view and location on the water. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was great to deal with. We would absolutely stay again, and hope to.

A relaxing getaway

We were in town dealing with a very stressful family matter, so returning to this peaceful, quiet property every evening was just what we needed to decompress. Gorgeous water views, TVs in every room, a nice kitchen, and washer/dryer - what more could you ask for? Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Great Stay, Even in terrible weather

Our Family decided to take a last minute Spring Break trip and had a fantastic time. Matt was a great host and easy to communicate with. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the local dining options. Despite terrible weather that we experienced, we made the best of our trip and had a great time.

Relaxation

Peaceful setting

Stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the peaceful setting. Watching bald eagles from the deck was a highlight. Clean, well maintained property and Matthew was very easy to work with.

What Hurricane? This place is great!

This place is absolutely beautiful, both the house and the scenery. We had the unfortunate timing of being there during a hurricane, but it didn't matter. The house was spotless upon arrival, everything was very comfortable and fully stocked to anyone's needs. We were only 2 adults and 1 child but this house could fit many more easily. The surrounding area has some nice restaurants. The nice days we did have we spent catching loads and loads of fish and crabs from the dock. The neighbors were super kind, one even helped filet our catch so we could have it for dinner that night! We'll definitely be regulars here for the comfort, scenery, and relaxation.

Slice of Heaven

Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The views were spectacular and the beauty of nature surrounds you. The area is rich in history and has so much to offer. The neighbors were super friendly and the owners are just a text or phone call away if you need them. The house was everything we hoped for and more. Our family needed this vacation to recharge our batteries and this was the perfect spot.

Great Getaway

We loved our stay at Matt’s home. Very comfortable with everything you could ask for! Quiet, relaxing and close enough to towns if you want to go explore. We went to a few of the restaurants that Matt suggested and they did not disappoint. We are already talking about the next time we can get back there. Wonderful Cottage with a 5-Star View

This home was a true gem for an empty-nest couple (and dog) taking an autumn getaway in the "top of the Chesapeake" region. The sunrises from the deck or front windows are even better than the listing photo suggests! It's everything the other positive reviews highlight -- clean, comfortable, good communication, easy check-in. A very walkable (and friendly) little neighborhood and an easy drive to restaurants and shops in North East or Havre de Grace, Perryville Park, and Elk Neck State Park. Highly recommended.

So good!

Just finishing up a Christmas time rental, the property is in great shape, a smooth and easy rental transaction, everything is as described. Really can't ask for more than that. We have basked in the beautiful views and serenity of the Bay, and enjoyed exploring North East coffee shop and restaurants and nearby Elk Neck State Park. The house itself is in excellent condition and was a haven for our family time

Great rental!

This rental was perfect for 3 couples, plenty of room for everyone. House was clean, check in was a breeze, and the entertainment system was awesome. Great location on the water, outdoor space was really setup nice. Enjoyed the fire pit and dock. Although the homes are close together, still feels private. It’s a shared dock, but the neighbors were great! Would highly recommend this rental.

We chose this property for out of town family members to join a memorial service. It was ideal. The 3 bedrooms accomadated all of my siblings and after the service my sisters children came over. The house was loved by all. The location is ideal for a quiet comfortable setting. The neighbors are friendly and respectful to your privacy. The house was immaculate and included everything we needed. Our next stay will definitely be there.

Relaxing getaway with amazing views

We had a great time staying at the Waldins' waterfront home! The property is renovated and updated with modern amenities, and well-stocked with towels, toilet paper, soaps, and cleaning supplies. The first thing we noticed was how sparkling clean everything was! Great views, comfortable and ample seating for our family, and the option to hang outside whether at the picnic tables or down by the dock was really awesome and relaxing. My father-in-law caught 5 catfish in total right off the pier and will be talking about that for a loooong time! A big thanks to our host for being so communicative and flexible, offering early check-in and late check-out which can really reduce stress when you're planning for traffic and travel with little kids. A very memorable stay for all of us!

The Perfect Getaway

We could not have been happier with this house and location. The views are stunning. The location was so quiet and peaceful in February. All we heard was birds and water lapping. We spent a day walking HdG and North East. Sadly it was off season so a lot of stores were closed. We had a small dog with us, and at MacGregor’s Pub we were able to bring her inside their enclosed porch for a nice lunch. The house itself was spotless and clean and very nicely appointed. We loved our stay and plan to visit again during warmer months, to take more advantage of the water and outdoors.

Wonderful New Years weekend spent in this comfortable cottage with a beautiful view

We were looking for a nice home or cottage for a quiet New Year's weekend with friends, and Waldin's cottage turned out to be perfect. The house is updated and modern, comfortable, and situated steps from the water. We enjoyed the fireplace, fire pit, and drinking our coffee on the deck overlooking the water. The kitchen had also been renovated, and it was stocked with the necessary extras like paper towels, spices, garbage bags, cleaning products. It's difficult to find a pet-friendly rental that is also in really nice condition, and this cottage was immaculate. The house has updated technology also - whole home stereo, internet TV, etc. There are three bedrooms, but the bedroom at the front is very small and fits little more than a queen bed (no furniture), so keep that in mind if you need a third bedroom. The middle bedroom is larger and has a dresser and nightstand, etc., while the bedroom at the back facing the water is by far the largest, with sliding doors that look out onto the water. The two larger bedrooms share a full bathroom situated in the center and each bedroom has a door to enter the bathroom from their side. There is also a large half bath/powder room off the kitchen. One thing that we didn't realize when we rented is that there is no kitchen table or dining room table, although there are 3 tall stools in the kitchen next to the counter. As for tables, the only tables are outside in the front and outside in the back of the home. Eating your meals overlooking the water would be wonderful in warmer weather, but since we were there for New Year's Eve, we did not have a table inside and ate in the living room while sitting on the couches. This does not in any way alter how I feel about the cottage - we loved it - we just didn't realize that the only tables were outside. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Everything was seamless and we would definitely rent this cottage from him again. He left instructions and area information for us in the kitchen for when we arrived, as well as a New Year's gift of champagne for us to enjoy (thank you Matt!). We highly recommend the property!

Second time we have stayed at Matt's cottage during the winter and just as charming as last time

Family Wedding Weekend

Rented this home for a wedding we were attending. Nice location on the water. Only downside is one shower so for a group of 8 it was a bit inconvenient. I knew this going in, just should have thought this through with 4 ladies in the group! Owner was great! Very responsive.
