Wonderful lake and ski spot

My husband's family has been coming to Lake Rescue every summer since 1959. I married into this wonderful tradition in 1972. We have rented cabins ( usually 4 - 5 ) to take care of all the extended families and I will have to say, Simon's is the best ever!!!Our families come from Virginia, California, Florida, New York, Conn., and all said our house ( Simons) was the most stunning we have ever rented. We will be back!!!Stunning view, immaculate home, gourmet kitchen, wonderful decor, water toys, fun, fun, fun! We had 6 adults and 3 babies ( 76 years old down to 2 year old ) and we had an Epic week, a blast! Thank you, Sir Simon! This Grandma was so happy!!

Amazing house and getaway

We had such an amazing weekend away. The house was perfect and had everything we needed and was so close to the mountain. The views were relaxing and helped us forget about work for a weekend. Highly recommend staying here!

Great Lake house close to Okemo

We stayed for Presidents Day weekend to ski at Okemo. The house was fantastic. Very well appointed and a great location just a short 5 minute drive to Jackson Gore. Communication from the host was top notch as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing house near Okemo

Marion made the check in/out process very easy and was very communicative. The house itself is beautiful and very clean. It is so close to Okemo which was great for us to get to the mountain early. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book it again for our next trip.

Family Vacation

Great lakeside vacation with the family. House was very nice: modern kitchen opening into living area made it a great family environment. Views of lake were spectacular. Despite some rainy weather during the week, we spent a lot of time on the lake - canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking, wind surfing and fishing.

Great Mountain/Lakeside Retreat!

Our family had a fantastic stay here. The home is warm and inviting. The epic view from the large glass windows welcome you as soon as you walk in. We went during ski season and the home is not far (less than 10 mins) from the mountain. Rooms were all well appointed and beds were comfortable. There wasn’t a single complaint from our whole group. Really a perfect spot to bring the family and enjoy all that VT has to offer.

Perfect for family gathering

The house is located on on the water with great views that made us feel outside while inside. The open concept layout worked well for us, and the finishings were modern and up-to-date. Although we spent much of the time on the water using kayaks, paddle boards, or swimming off the dock. The location is close enough to Ludlow to get groceries, take-out, etc. Nice markets in town on the weekend, as well.

Amazing Summer Weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lake house. The views of Okemo Mountain rising above the lake are beautiful. The house was extremely well appointed. We had an absolute blast on the lake using the canoe, kayak and paddleboard. The brand new dock was a terrific spot for sunning and swimming. The hosts were extremely communicative and very helpful - even pointing out some wildlife highlights in the area (including an eagle's nest)! We would absolutely stay there again and are planning on it.

Lake House

This home was located on a beautiful lake with a view of the mountains. Our family was able to enjoy skiing during the day and easily go out to dinner at nearby restaurants. The home was clean and beautifully decorated. Our only issue was the roads nearby become very icy and it can be difficult to drive. We have a large car, but a smaller car would have difficulty. We hope to visit this home again!

Great weekend

We had a great New Years weekend. We were looking for a place that had lots of space where we could all hang out and enjoy each others company and this beautiful house did just that. The place had everything we needed The family room with the fireplace was wide open to the kitchen so those of us cooking could still enjoy everyone company. Lots of sitting area for us to play card and games. There was lots of open spaces. The basement also had a nice big tv for those who wanted to watch football. We will definitely stay here again.

First Ski Trip made easy

This is our first ski trip with children and it couldn’t have gone better. The house was perfect for my family and friends. More than enough space for the kids to run around and play. A beautiful kitchen to cook in with plenty of accessories. The house was very clean! The house was also 5 or so minutes away from both Okemo sites so no rush or traffic in the mornings and returning home. The property has a great hill for sledding which the kids and some adults enjoyed on our last day of stay. A big bonus that the house has a wood burning fireplace. We enjoyed it so much and there was plenty of chopped wood provided for our use. The owner Marion is so friendly and nice about checking in on us, she was always available by text for any questions and she responds back very quickly. We would definitely come back!

Great stay despite challenges from recent flooding in the area

The house was located on a quiet gravel road with plenty of trees around for privacy from neighboring properties. It had beautiful views of Lake Rescue and Okemo Mountain from its long elevated deck outside the main living area and through the windows that extended across the house. The open kitchen and living room had been beautifully renovated with lots of light, modern cabinets, and high ceilings with dark wood beams. Downstairs had a comfortable seating area and an enormous TV. The lake was visible from all the windows. The arrangement of the bedrooms was the only oddity of the house. One bedroom could only be accessed by walking through the living room and up two steps, the third bedroom was on the lower level (which worked out ok, but wasn’t ideal for our family with an elderly mother-in-law who couldn’t use stairs). Though we were disappointed that we couldn’t swim in the lake because of major flooding the week before, we still had very nice week. The owner was wonderful to work with.

Fall getaway

We came to this property for 5 nights for a fall getaway during fall foliage. The home is in a wonderful location on the lake and allowed us for a very peaceful getaway. We cooked in for the entire visit and were able to navigate the kitchen with the items provided. Marian is wonderful with communication. Super responsive. What we feel should be talked up more about this property is the fact that it is on the East side of the lake. This was so important to us because the West side is a main highway and there is a lot of noise on the road. Marian's house is super quiet and the ducks and slow boats were what you mainly heard. Also, with it being on the East side, you can watch the sunset over Okemo Mountain which is just stunning and made our trip. House was stacked with games and a ping pong table which was a nice surprise for the one rainy day (although paddles need an upgrade). Furniture was a little worn but very comfortable and master bed was comfy. We would absolutely stay at this property again and were sad when we had to depart. Thanks Marian!

Fantastic home away from home

We rented this home during holiday season and it was perfect for our family. Kids hit the slopes while adults worked from home each day with a view of lake and the falling snow. The host was very thoughtful and communicative. House had everything we needed to be comfortable - great TV, games, cooking utensils. Even a tire inflator - which helped when we got a flat tire overnight! We slept great and built a fire every night. Didn’t want to leave!

Lovely Place

The house is beautifully situated in a lake. It was clean and comfortable. The hosts were most responsive and helpful about the area. It’s conveniently located and I recommend it as a wonderful place to stay and a beautiful area to spend some time.

Wonderful July Stay

We had a fantastic time at Marion's house. The outdoor deck has amazing lake views and very comfortable chairs to enjoy the space at all times of day. A highlight of the weekend was paddle boarding and swimming in the lake just a few steps away! The rooms are pleasant and the kitchen is very spacious, which made cooking for a group very easy. There is an inside dining table where we had dinners and and an outdoor dining table which we enjoyed using for lunch. The house was very clean and Marion is very easy to communicate with. Wifi worked extremely well. We are already looking forward to another visit!

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

We had a wonderful week on the lake. The house is fantastic with upgraded amenities, plenty of space and beautiful views of the lake. The outside has plenty of deck space, a nice patio sitting area closer to the water and a ton of dock and water front to spread out and enjoy the water. looking forward to our next stay.
