We had a great stay! House was super cozy, clean and welcoming. Our kids loved the ski area, perfect for beginners.

We really enjoyed our stay! The windows were great to watch the snow. Unfortunately the ski lift was unexpectedly closed on our last day, but the host was great and very accommodating

Super comfy home

We had an amazing time. The house was clean and well organized. We had enough space and really enjoyed our stay. It’s in walking distance to the nearby lake.

Property was mostly as described and pictured. Beds were not queen size-they are full size. We have tall sons who have queen beds at home so this was not a guess or complaint-beds were measured. So if you have larger people staying, this should be considered. Otherwise, we had a nice time staying here for our trip. Area is beautiful and the basics were provided, pellet fireplace was so cozy and lovely. We cook a lot so it would have been nice to have more items in the kitchen. We had to buy a bit like large trays to bake on, serving platters/bowls, a sharp knife, can opener. Agree that couch could be upgraded, cushions were always sliding off. Overall, very happy and communication was the best we've ever had. Really appreciate this owner responding so quickly and we would stay here again. Thank you.

Thanksgiving weekend

My children and I had a wonderful time staying at Bills cozy mountain getaway. It felt like a home with all the amenities you need. We used the indoor gym and racketball and enjoyed it tremendously

Clean, Cozy, and Comfortable stay

We stayed in Saw Creek for a long weekend for a birthday celebration. This house was well stocked in the kitchen and the rooms were very clean and it smelled so good! The mattresses in the rooms were memory foam which as a very welcome surprise and we all slept great. Any issues we had were quickly addressed by the property owner.

Bill was so easy to communicate with, even during the difficulty of the air conditioner breaking just prior to arrival he was up from and honest about it

Relaxing weekend getaway

In nice safe community with awesome amenities. House was very cozy, loved the deck and the screened in porch. Beds were comfortable. We had a great weekend in nature and even saw some turkeys running around! Only thing we would recommend to get a slip pad underneath the living room and dining room rugs. The rugs slide around on the hardwood

Mountain getaway

The property was clean minus the floors which turned your feet black if you’re barefoot. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The couches are outdated. The AC units did not work the entire time so that was not ideal.

Inaccurate property description

The property is not on Shawnee Mountain or a lake.Corner lot near powerlines. Not very clean with badly outfitted furnishings,(especially the couches).Needs TLC

Cozy stay

Overall it was a nice place to stay. Great area, room for 4 adults, wildlife outside. However, I feel there were a few things lacking: cleanliness of towels, kitchen missing a few key items like wineglasses, the landscaping is neglected, outdoor porch looked it hadn’t been touched in a long time, the inside is very humid even with the AC running, the doors stick, etc. With a little effort and attention to detail to make it more of a “home” it could be a nicer place. But I believe at peak summer in the poconos it was a good value for the price, especially with how many people it can accommodate.

Nice mountain getaway.

Bill was an awesome host. Instantaneous responses to a couple of questions we had. Nice set up. Loved the wood pellet stove. Pools and hot tubs had that Pocono feel for sure but hey that’s where we were. 10 minutes from Shawnee. Thanks Bill. Hay New Year. Ps place was super clean so not sure what that other reviewer was talking about.

Great place near Bushkill Falls.

We are a family of four with two kids and a border collie. The chalet is located in a gated community 10 minutes drive from Bushkills Falls and 25 minites drive from Dingmans Falls of Delaware Gap. The chalet is very clean and cozy. It was rainy and cold for the first two days of Memorial weekends but we were able to enjoy the pellet fire place and board games. The screened porch, deck and fire pit outside would be perfect for good weather. We walked our dog in the neighborhood that were really quiet without a lot of traffic. The weekend we stayed was not great weather but we still had a very nice getaway at the chalet. Shopping and restaurants are within 10 minutes drive. Also recommend the Indian Museum about 10 min away for a rainy day.

A little worse for wear...

Renting the property was a very easy process. The owner responded to every question in a very kind and timely way. The house was more worn down than the photos show. The kitchen lacked basic things such as a pitcher, mixing bowls, baking pans. Cable TV only offers a few channels. The entry door was very difficult to open and close. On the plus side, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were adequate, and climate controls worked well. Hiking in the area was wonderful with lots of breathtaking views and well-maintained trails.

Weekend stay

We had a fantastic weekend. The house was just what we pictured! Everything was clean and in order. There was a lot to do near by and we took adventure of the beautiful neighborhood going for walks in the mornings. Overall fantastic get away!

I took my kids and nieces for a weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. Our host was very responsive and the house was great. We had a chance to visit the lake and community pool. We had a amazing time and will love to stay again.

Would have loved to give 5 stars

I was very much looking forward to a four day weekend getaway with my family and thought I found the perfect place. The owner answered right away, and even allowed us to bring our second dog. It was unfortunate that the cleaning crew did not do their part in cleaning the house before our arrival. The house had dust and animal fur everywhere, dead and alive lady bugs all over, dirty dishes IN cabinets, the windows had mold growing on the bottom and the bathrooms needed to be wiped down prior to use. I let the owner know I didn’t believe it was cleaned properly, and he called me right away. He was surprised as it had not been rented recently prior to us being there. Well I think with it being vacant, the dust and bugs accumulated and the cleaning service just changed the sheets (I hope) they smelled fresh, but that can be deceiving. I believe the owner has good intentions but should assess his property more thoroughly before having it rented out.

Terrific Thanksgiving weekend trip at the Pocono Mnts

We stayed at the house for the first time for a 4 day Holiday weekend. The house is located in a gated community. The owner insured our names and our friends names were added. We did not have any difficulty to pass the security gate. When we arrived the house was very warm. Everything was clean and neat. The house has a lot of day light. We stayed 3 nights and our friends only visited us for 1 night. We also went to check the local community and the indoor pool area. Only 1 pool was open and it was a small pool and very crowded. We changed our mind to go for a swim. During the 4 day weekend we went hiking and visited several waterfalls at the Delaware Water Gap area. We loved it. The house had a fire place and at night we all sat in the living room area with a glass of wine and enjoyed the evening movie. We cooked mostly using the stove. Highly recommend to visit this house. We hope to come again when it is snowing. Mariya
