Beautiful Pacific Grove

This is a wonderful property in Pacific Grove, CA. It is great for a family or larger group. Home is very comfortable. Great back yard with grill, fire pit, picnic table and seating. It's two blocks from the ocean and a hiking path. Our younger grandson went tidepooling every day. Also within walking distance of the Pacific Grove Golf Links, a fun course that is very affordable. My older grandson and I enjoyed that. Great vacation accommodation.

Great location and lovely place to spend time.

We were down with family for the Big Sur Marathon. The home fit 6 of us very comfortably (4 adults and 2 kids) and would have been fine with the 2 more adults that were expected to come but could not make it. The kids loved running around in the backyard and we enjoyed an evening around the fire pit. The location is great with the ocean just a few steps away and getting into Monterrey in just a few minutes. Will definitely look to see if this house is available again on our next visit!

Great location and well appointed

We really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, baking dishes, and even some basic cooking ingredients. The children were thrilled with their room and the whole house was immaculate. We would definitely book again if it was available.

Wonderful visit

Excellent property in a great area. Very near ocean with spectacular walking. House is perfect for families and John (host) is incredibly flexible. We hope to return.

Wonderful stay at a great house!

Almost everything was wonderful! We couldn't have asked for better location or accomodations. Three small issues. Only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. If we were supposed to supply it would have been nice to know ahead of time. We had 7 adults for 3 days. More than 7 towels bath towels would have been nice. And the thermostat seemed to be set at a standard temp, unable to be changed.The low temps on the first night of the stay made sleeping a little uncomfortable.

Love Pacific Grove

House was great and location is fantastic! Right across from the 18th hole of the Poor man’s Pebble Beach. Property owner was quick to reply and house is nicely appointed. Only issue, and it is a small one, is it is advertised as being dog friendly but it was not. And there is only seating for 5 at the kitchen table.

Restful and gorgeous

This home was just perfect! We had every comfort of home, plus more! The views were stunning. Every communication was smooth and pleasant. We appreciated the accommodations and would love to be back. Thank you.

Wonderful stay

Amazing location 1 block from the ocean. House was well equipped and the backyard is huge and well appointed, including a good grill. Great place for a beach weekend!

Family Get Together

The backyard provided the perfect gathering spot for our family get together. The house is well stocked and very comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to town and along the coast.

Beach house Bliss

Spacious, up to date & clean, kitchen-generous utincels, cookware, glassware, appliances, great fire pit and patio in back, spacious bathrooms, washer dryer. A very short 2 min walk to beautiful coastline and a 10 min drive to a beautiful white sand beach. Loved our stay and want to come back!

Nice place. Great location

No issues at all. Everything was easy. I loved getting up, walking to the Grill at the golf course for breakfast, than walking along the coast.

Good stay

The area of the place is very close to the ocean. It is a nice area with deer that walk around. There was plenty of room for 8 people (two families). Property is nice only needs to be slightly maintained outside/inside (webs, bugs) but was not to bad. I would recommend stay there again.

Cute, clean, and close to the ocean

My family and I rented this house for our Thanksgiving vacation and absolutely loved it. Super cute house, newly remodeled, and clean. You are just one block over from the ocean and you have a great view of the ocean from the upstairs bedrooms. The owners were quick to respond to any questions and very friendly. We are looking forward to renting this home again in the near future.

Accomodations were exactly as represented, spacious enough for 6 adults and 3 kids. Loved the location, easy walk to the beach. Nice quiet neighborhood. Would recommend this rental! Only issue we had was the ground floor bath/shower drained very slowly and I didn't get a response from the owner, but we were only there for a few days. Left a note in the tub. We would gladly rent this again!

Family fun

This was a perfect place for my family of four (2 teens) and my sister’s family of four (two 8 year olds) to spend a long weekend together. We especially appreciated how there was enough room for everyone to do what they wanted - there was a group playing a complicated strategy game in the room off the kitchen, a couple playing solitaire at the kitchen table, kids watching a movie in the living room, and sometimes someone would take a break and read upstairs in one of the large bedrooms. The backyard is outstanding (we had a nice fire and roasted marshmallows). And the location is in easy walking distance to the ocean and tide pools. It was clean, well maintained and exactly what we were looking for.

Good for Families

The home was comfortable for our party of 7 adults but is more suitable for adults with children. One bedroom has bunkbed with an older hide a bed that blocks exit from bunkbed when in use. There are two small dining tables in the house and a large dining table outside. Our group could not be seated indoors at the same table, ideal uncrowded, seating for meals, is workable for separate adult and kids tables. The location is great! Steps from the beach, oceanfront, walking, trail, and around the corner from PG municipal golf course.

Great location steps away from beach. House dated, garbage disposal didn’t work, issue with drain, back yard grass not cut or kept. Found glass in back yard (kids almost cut), multiple people got cut from nails in steps in stairs, when reached out to property manager for some items to be addressed he was not polite.

Needs Updating

The location is great! The house not so much. Outdated furniture, decorations and design. The towels and bedding were all bleach stained. The second night there, we woke to the roof leaking into the kitchen. It took 6 hours for the owner to get back to us about the leak. The weather was cold so we set the thermostat at 70. The thermostat is a NEST, so it could be programmed remotely. When we woke up each morning he programmed it down to 56. Would not recommend this property.

Great PG property near ocean, golfing, dining and aquarium.

The last weekend of October four couples(in 50's and early 60's) rented this wonderful home for 3 nights. It was everything John described and more. The living room was nicely furnished and it looked like the furnishings were relatively new. Couches were comfortable and each made into a queen size bed. Oh, the views from the big picture window gave us a glimpse of the ocean. The TV had a surround sound and there was a great selection of DVD's to enjoy. The kitchen was newly remodeled and was well equipped with modern appliances, great cookware and so many utensils that we lacked for nothing. The workspace was ample so that we could cook together. In a small room off the kitchen, a new LG washer and dryer were there for us to use. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. There was a bedroom(queen bed) and bathroom downstairs and 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The two front bedrooms had a queen and a king bed and the 3rd bedroom had bunk beds, with the bottom bed being a double. It looked like it was meant for kids, but it worked out fine for us. The patio was equipped with a gas barbecue, a fire pit and a lovely dining table that could easily seat our group of 8. We played the game corn hole in the backyard as it was more than spacious. If I had to criticize the property it would be that it lacked an inside dining room table where we all could sit and eat. When we did eat inside(one night), we had to sit in different sections of the house . A portable table would have been easy to put up and down. Next time, we thought we would bring a table or two card tables from home . All in all the house is lovely with its great location(we walked along the water each morning into downtown Monterey )ocean views and great furnishings. You would not be disappointed in this rental.
