Country River Retreat is a refurbished home overlooking the spectacular river Murray and Lake Carlet.
Our country river retreat sits on 150 acres of land surrounded by sweeping farmland crops.
Our choice is the reestablishment of native trees coupled with fruit, nut trees and a vegie garden promoting well being.
The home is artistically quirky, filled with many creature comforts making it enjoyable throughout the year.
The fireplace is a true delight in the colder months.
The Concert grand piano sets the scene for the artistic minds whether your gathering is here for simple rest and recreation or group art painting, group book readings, Yoga, meditation to music rehearsal.
Not forgetting the Celestial enthusiasts as one would feel like they are in the middle of the universe. This area is noted by astronomers to be one of the darkest places on the planet, being ideal for stargazing.
The outer spaces of the home holds many entertainment nooks including a decked barbeque space overlooking the lake and river.

A all welcome shed with pool table, dart board, fridge is shared with the upper cabin retreat in which we manage.
To help cater we have a second outside kitchen prep space with fridge.

The home is not a riverfront establishment, however we we feel it is far more special with room to move. We sit only meters from the waters edge with bonus space available on the waters edge which is gated, as we share this special pace with our farming neighbor. Slipping our neighbor a beer wont go astray for his welcome patronage if using this space. Also having the luxury of domestic power on the rivers edge.
This holiday retreat is in the town of Young husband only 15 minutes from Historic Mannum.
Only 5 minutes from the retreat is a large council boat ramp with services.
Without exception truly an eyeopener for those that want to engage in river sports or simple kayaking in the lake itself.
