Perfect location for a family during the Cooperstown experience. Close enough to be able to pop in and out in-between games and it has an amazing outdoor space you can host your entire team at as well. Several amazing restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Overall, a great place to stay and we are glad we found it.

Amazing cabin! We stayed while ur son played and stayed at Cooperstown Dreams Park! 25 minutes from Dreams Park and close to food and shopping!

I’m happy that you loved our place. Yes, we are close to all the stores and Main Street. Many families come here in the summer for Cooperstown All-Star Village because it is only minutes away. Once in a while, someone will join us who is playing baseball at the Cooperstown Dreams Park. And yes, we are a quick 25 minutes drive. The drive is beautiful. It’s a great place to get away from the craziness of the fields for a little while when needed. Please come again!!!!

Price was fair, everything was clean, check in/out was easy. LOVE the pavilion area and how family friendly it is. She also has rentals available on site which came in handy. Beds are very comfortable. Would absolutely stay there again.

Beautiful and cozy barn.

We enjoyed our stay at the barn. It was very clean and comfortable. Some of the families and teammates were able to come over and hang out at the pavilion. Thank you Linda!

Great location for multi families traveling together for Cooperstown.

This location has three cottages on the property. We stayed here with three other families and had a blast. Plenty of room and ooen grass area for our little ones to run around. We brought the entire team over a couple of times and BBQ’d in the clubhouse area. It was definitely the perfect place to stay and we will hopefully be staying there again in the future.

Linda was the best!!

This is the perfect place to stay with your family and other families from your baseball team when in cooperstown! Linda is a great host!! Tons of room and the pavilion is awesome!! A++++

The property was a fantastic place to spend time with other families from our team.

We loved the outdoor space, the pavilion facilities and the cottages were clean and comfortable. Not to mention the AC units kept it cool and sleeping was wonderful. If you’re in town for a baseball weekend then staying here with other member of your team is an excellent choice. Linda was great to deal with, friendly and attentive.

Great cabin!

This home was fantastic! So clean and cozy! Linda was very accommodating. The pavilion was great for team parties, and the laundry facilities were top notch. We would definitely stay here again, and will definitely reccommend it to future teams from our program that are coming to All Star Village.

Cooperstown ASV

Perfect getaway for families attending games at ASV. Short drive to grocery stores. Loved having access to laundry. Was in contact with host during our stay, she’s lovely. Great communication throughout. Place was clean!! Deer and rabbit sightings on property were a plus as well! Highly recommended!!!

Perfect for a group

We had 10 families stay across the 3 houses at Drake’s Escape, and it was perfect for our group. We loved the large outdoor pavilion so much that we bbq’d and ordered takeout much more often than eating at restaurants or cooking in the kitchens. Lots of space for yard games, and very close to All Star Village. Linda was a great host - very responsive, gave lots of info, and was on-site to welcome us at check-in.

We rented Cottage #2 week of July 5th to attend CASV. We were traveling with family of 6 (players parents, grandparents, and two children). Check-in was smooth. Bed linens and towels were provided. Air conditioning worked well. Host has box fans to help move air throughout cottage too. Cottage is as described, two bedrooms downstairs - one queen room and one room with two twin beds plus shared full bath. Upstairs two bedrooms with queen beds and shared full bathroom. Kitchen (stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster) full equipped with cooking necessities. The dining space was tight for our party (only 4 chairs). Although, we loved to sit on the porch so it was manageable. In addition, we could have utilized the pavilion if needed. Cottage is 15 minute drive to CASV. Close drive to main shopping area. Parking was ample. Host was easily accessible! Friendly! We’d stay here again for our next trip to CASV.

I’m so happy that you found everything you needed in the cottage. Of course there’s plenty of seating in the pavilion if you wanted to have a picnic. And the porch has some and end tables as well. If you take the highway to get to ASV it only takes about seven minutes. An easy drive. Would love to host you again when you come back!!!!!!!!

Perfect Stay for All Star Village

Beautiful, clean and convenient place to stay. We loved everything about it. The house was amazing, clean, roomy and functional. The amenities on the property were absolutely fantastic(laundry, pavilion, basketball hoop, tire swing, grassy knoll area). We enjoyed seeing the deer and fireflies at night. My kids played outside all the time. The adults enjoyed the crisp cool AC!!! It is very convenient to get to and from all star village. Other reviewers mentioned the trains, while we did hear them once or twice it was not bothersome at all. I would recommend to anyone! Did I mention it was clean?!

Baseball stay

We visited Drake’s escape cottages during our Cooperstown Baseball World tournament this summer. We had team families in the 2 cottages which I suggest doing as they are very close together. The yard space and pavilion area was fantastic as many of the other Oneonta rentals have very little outdoor space. The cottage was clean and beds were comfortable. The AC units kept the cottage nice and cool day and night. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. The only thing missing was a kettle but we got one of those from Walmart for $15 so no big deal. To note, there is a railroad with active trains very close to the property and they go by late into the night but didn’t seem to wake anyone in our group so it wasn’t a big deal for us. All in all, with 8 people sharing this space we had ample room and nothing but positive things to say about Drake’s escape!

There are only a couple properties in town where team members can stay together. But no one has the yard our size or a pavilion for you or use. Cute Barn, Great Owner, a few issues

This is a cute new barn house. It was clean and the check in process was great, the owner is very nice. The pavilion is a really nice add, and although we didn't rent all three properties with other families on our team, I would recommend doing that, it would be really fun. The location is very convenient to the all star village and downtown. Renters should beware that these barns are right next to the highway, and it is loud. Bring earplugs and white noise if you are light sleeper. A train also rumbles by, and if you are in bed you will feel and hear it. The kitchen is also not stocked to cook a full meal- for example only one small knife, one small frying pan, no spatula etc. But, this is an easy fix and I am sure the owner will take care of it. She is very nice and will work with you to make your stay pleasant

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. It’s always my goal to make sure the house is squeaky clean and guests have everything you need. The cupboard on the left actually has an entire set of pots and pans and the drawer has all utensils needed. I’ll check for the knives and be sure there are what one needs. Sometimes, after taking items to the pavilion, items end up in other homes. Thanks for letting me know!

Our time at Cooperstown All-Star village was made so much better having a nice place to stay 15 minutes away. It's a beautiful property and was exactly how it was described! The second unit was rented by a family on a different team but if you could get it to be with another family from your team it would be even better! We would definitely recommend booking this property!

Wonderful little gem of a place to stay for ASV! Linda is so communicative and thinks of everything. Cottage was well stocked, super clean and quiet. The washer and dryer availability was wonderful.We stayed here for so much less than what others spent to stay on property at AS in a basic hotel room...Don't listen to the reviews that mention noise... Yes, a train goes by not far a couple times a day, but we didn't notice. Yes, there is a highway not far, but we still sat peacefully on our front porch and read when we had no morning game. Close the door and the noise disappears.

Great Location! Great Place! Great Management!

Shortly after we arrived we were greeted by Linda. She was as nice as could be, and offered several helpful facts about the area. The property was great and we loved the pavilion and the proximity to All-star Village. Would hope to book again when our older son goes in a couple of years.

My husband and I live in Oneonta. I have been a local person all my life. I went to school in Cooperstown and I went to college in Oneonta. I am a bank of information for directions and fun things to do around here.

I purchased property in 2018. The yard connects to the home I raised my children in. This location features the largest yard in Oneonta. Construction of two cottages is complete and ready for your comfortable, cozy stay. These two cottages plus the house, listed under Drake's Escape, can sleep 22 people total. We have the pavilion for your use complete with laundry and bathroom.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Once you wind your way down the streets to these barns, one forgets that you are in the city of Oneonta. My children learned to ride bikes on the dead end street next door. It was a place that they could run and play outside and I didn't have to worry about them. These barn cottages, combined with the other home, have the largest yard in Oneonta for your family to enjoy.
Oneonta and surroundings offers a lot of entertainment. Some examples are: Oneonta Outlaws (minor league baseball team) games in the park down the road, two beautiful parks, Orpheus Theatre, Franklin Play Company, Glimmerglass Opera, many small lakes to visit, Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame (of course), The Farmer's Museum, The Fennimore House, and much more!!!!!!!!!
