We loved our stay!! The condo was exactly as pictured. Carlos was quick to respond with any questions we had. The view of the Golf Course was beautiful! Our week stay was a bit rainy but we were still able to enjoy a few rounds of golf and a couple days at the beach! I would definitely recommend this home for a larger group! We had 8 of us (6 adults and two teens) and had plenty of space.

Great villa right on the golf course

This villa was great for a family with teens/young adults with 2 bedrooms on the upper level and primary bedroom on main level. The view of the golf course is beautiful with close beach access just a quick drive away. I highly recommend this villa if you’re staying in Puerto Rico - very safe and secure location.

Peaceful Retreat

Good location and beautiful villa. Everything was just as described. We spent most of the time at the beach, the pool and the luquillo kiosks. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

Family Vacation

It is a beautiful property. Were able to use the pools at the main resort as well as the pool by the unit. We spent a lot of time off resort. The location made it easy to go to Old San Juan, the rain forest, and beaches. I recommend going to the Luquillo Kiosks if staying at this location. It is a real short drive and full of shops and restaurants.

Great Villa and great owner!

The villa was amazing, very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were beautiful, which is always important to me! It is in an excellent location on the Wyndham resort, so we felt very safe. We ate at the resort restaurants which were good, but pricey. The grocery store was nearby, easy to get supplies. Carlos was really helpful also, answered my questions quickly. We had a great visit to Puerto Rico!

Lovely and Relaxing

We stayed for a week with our two kids (9 & 11) and had a GREAT time. Communication with owner was great and check in was very easy. The place is clean and open. We loved the pool in the condo cluster, but there is another pool down by the beach as well. Beach was part of the resort and lovely - you do need to drive (~3 min drive, but would be a bit far to walk) but plenty of parking. All in all, we LOVED it and would definitely come back!

Great golf course view!!

Property is very clean and comfortable and provides many of the amenities that you need such as dish soap ect….. the beach club is very walkable, but if you are planning on spending any time at the resort, you may want to consider renting a car or golf cart. Please note if you decide to rent a car there is no free parking around the resort. Golf course is beautiful!

Great property

We had a wonderful vacation in this villa. The property is in an excellent location on the 5th hole of the Ocean course, with a great view of the heart of the course. It's an end unit and feels very private. The picture from the balcony does not do justice to the reality of the view. The beach access is a 2-minute drive, and our pool was a one-minute walk and hardly used! Wyndham Resort is a massive gated property that is meticulously maintained, with many restaurants to choose from, as well as local fare. Carlos, the property manager, was very accessible and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.

Villa Review

Unfortunately house was not clean on arrival. Dirty rags left behind and dirty comforter and sheets still on. Beds were filled with ants and there were cobwebs throughout the house. Fridge still had old food inside and floors weren’t swept or mopped. Missed a whole day due to the inconvenience of having someone come over to clean which took hours for her to come.

Marvin, Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the cleaning delay at check-in. Due to an unexpected scheduling issue, our cleaning staff missed their appointment — something that has never happened before. As soon as we were made aware, we personally drove to the property with new linens, towels and prepared the condo ourselves together with the cleaning person to ensure it was fully ready for your stay within two hours. We’ve been top property managers for over 20 years, and we take that reputation very seriously. Guest satisfaction is our top priority, and we’ve already taken steps to prevent this from happening again in the future. That said, receiving a two-star review for a two-hour delay — during what was otherwise a five-day stay — feels disheartening and, to be honest, a bit unfair. Still, we respect your experience and feedback, and we’ll take this as a learning opportunity to improve. Thank you again for staying with us.

Great location and service

The villa is on a golf course and has a very nice view. You can use most of the hotel facilities and restaurants but covered parking is not free. Recommend a car to get around. Carlos is great and very responsive. The few things that needs work are better pillows especially on the bunk bed. Better lighting and better water pressure/hot water for a group of six. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a great time.

Golf Heaven

Great property in Rio Mar. The pictures do not do it justice as the views in person are much better than the pictures. Every room and common area has a french style window so you get amazing views no matter where you are at in the property. Space is very confortable for a family of 4 or 5. Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are excellent. Love the decor! Carlos was very accessible and very resourceful when needed. I recommend this property highly. Its much better than the pictures showed.

Family of 5

This was a great rental for 2 adults & 3 teenagers! Good location but you definitely need a rental car. Carlos answered all our questions very quickly. It was a little confusing on what we had access to and how to access it. It would be helpful to provide more information on the pools & Wyndham resort. You only have access to two pools & not four pools. That was okay for our family. We preferred Cluster 2 pool because it was quiet & had a deep area plus hot tub. Definitely visit the rainforest & book a kayak trip to see the bioluminescence. Ritchie’s, Roots, and patio area on the corner off the main road great places to eat!

Great Choice

Even though no one in our group golfs, this villa was a good choice for us. First, because it is part of an oceanfront property, we had access to the uncrowded beach without leaving the resort. We drove to the beach club and parked there. The club has a snack bar and restroom facilities. And we met many friendly people on the beach who were also staying at the resort.Second, Carlos is a super host! Communication with him was swift and he granted two requests providing a comfort level beach chair for a guest who could not use the traditional low ones. He also permitted a late check out for my niece who had a late night flight. There are steps down to the villa and up to the second level where two of the three bedrooms are located, so if anyone in your group uses a walker or wheelchair, it wouldn’t be accessible. The people of PR, the food, the natural beauty of the islands, the convenience of direct flights from US make it a vacation spot we will return to.

Perfect family vacation!

We visited PR with our best friends and their children, so we had 4 adults and 4 children (ages 3-8). The villa was very accommodating to our group and allowed enough space and amenities for a comfortable and incredibly enjoyable visit to PR! The driving directions to locate the property were a bit confusing when we arrived but we were pros in no time. We had access to the private beach and two pools for the villa as well as the hotel pools (10 minute walk down the beach). Our kids loved the waterslide at the hotel pool, and our husbands enjoyed a round of golf, and a well-deserved spa for the moms. A few cons to mention: front door lock was a bit tricky to use, shower pressure very low when both in use and hot water was not plentiful, the sheets were sandy in the room with two queen beds. Also something to note is the primary bedroom is on the main level next to the kitchen and living room, the second and third bedrooms are on the next level up. Overall we had an amazing stay and would happily return to this villa!!!

Nice Villa on Resort Property

This was our first visit to PR and stayed here for one week. The Villa is very spacious and accommodating with all the amenities and has a great view of the golf course. It is nice to have access to the resort which had a beautiful beach, casino, pools, golf and restaurants. Some things to consider: This is located pretty far from the main resort area. You will need a car if you don’t have a golf cart (which we did not). This is a very gated community and the easy access gates close at 7pm. This means you have to drive all the way through the resort to get in and out. Not a huge deal but a little annoying. There is no central air. The AC units and fans in the house were powerful enough to cool the rooms once you turn them all on but that also comes with noise (which most of us did not mind). We did have an issue with water pressure and one of the toilets that we communicated to the owner who responded right away and indicated it was probably due to the high volume at the resort.

Lovely Stay at Rio Mar

Our family (including one teen and one grandparent) had a great stay at this villa. We all hope to stay here again in the future. Pros included: very effective and quiet A/C (a newer split air system); plenty of space in living area with large, comfortable couch; comfortable beds; access to cluster II pool (which we ended up using every day because it is deeper and was generally more empty than the beach club pool); location on edge of condo cluster that was very quiet with lovely view of golf course. The condo also had plenty of beach towels and was very clean. The location was great, with access to El Yunque, Luquillo Beach, and biobay tour and snorkeling tours in Fajardo. (If you are visiting with kids, we highly recommend the BioIsland electric boat biobay tour, instead of the kayaks. Also recommend Adventourspr/ Hilda for a birding tour!) One thing to note: the third bedroom (with bunkbed) is quite small and is best for kids. Perfect for our teenager but would have been crowded for two adults. Highly recommend stocking up at the Famcoop about 10 minutes down Route 3 (on the way to the condo from San Juan). It is a full grocery store that had everything we needed for simple meals. Also, the condo did not have a lot of extras in terms of leftovers from previous guests, and during our week-long stay we ended up buying dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, etc.

Perfect.

This property has everything you need and then some. Perfect blend of having your own place and resort living. You can relax at the condo but then head to the resort to be part of the action. The private pool and beech access is also fantastic. My teen kids loved it as well. We will be back!

Our villa has a perfect location in the resort. It is in front of the River Golf Course with excellent views, close to the beach, the rainforest and many adventurous places including the forest, bioluminescent bay, horseback-riding and four tracks rides. You can enjoy restaurants, bar and the casino at the Wyndham resort. Also, enjoy our very charming and warm place sitting at the porch with a good book and a glass of wine.

The great views, the fresh breeze, its open space and its proximity to great places to have fun. Both baths fully renovate early this year.
