Hus ved bjergene med privat saltvandspool på 6+ regnskoven

Du vil føle dig velkommen i dette feriehus beliggende foran El Yunque National Rainforest på en hektar tropisk regnskov. Privat gated adgang, på et lille bjerg kun 1 km fra PR3. Møbleret til komfort. Stor privat gårdhave og 10 x 20 'saltvand swimmingpool. Dette er ikke et trangt condo eller lejlighed med mange naboer. Du vil være i en sikker bjergside, tropisk jungleindstilling med masser af plads til at udforske og nyde!

Ejendommen er tæt på El Yunque National Forest, Luquillo (Monserrate) Strand (en af de bedste strande på øen), Hacienda Allegre, St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Wyndham Rio Mar Resort og 20 motorveje miles til San Juan. 40 minutter til Ceiba for færger til Culebra & Vieques. Mange gode aktiviteter og restauranter er let tilgængelige.

King seng i master suite med walk-in closet og separat badeværelse med stort brusebad. Det andet soveværelse tilbyder en behagelig dronning og en splinterny futon til sovemuligheder. De tredje soveværelser indeholder en drømmende queensize-seng. Andet badeværelse er ved enden af gangen, nær soveværelser 2 og 3.

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our time. Comfortable and safe location. the pool and our daily visit by Daisy (dog) was lovely. The house is well equipped with beach towels and coolers and other amenities. Our host Hector was great.

Wonderful home in paradise

It was a beautiful home. Hector was a gracious host and we enjoyed visiting with him. The views were a slice of paradise and the home was clean and well equipped. My kids loved the pool. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful house

Kim and Hector were the most kind and gracious hosts. This was our first time in this area and they made sure we had everything we needed and Kim answered my millions of questions. La Lomita was beautiful and very clean and comfortable for our family. It is located close to many things and easy access to Luquillo beach where we spent most of our time. We cannot thank you enough for all of your help and for sharing your home with us!

Very clean and accommodating

This is the perfect place to be near national park and beaches. A short drive to grocery stores. The home is very clean and Kim and Hector are gracious and helpful. The house is set back in your own little world. You feel like your in a botanical garden . The grounds are meticulously maintained !

La Lomita: Our Home Away From Home!!

What an incredible location with incredible hosts! Hector and Kim were instantly family and we couldn’t have found a more ideal location to make memories and be away from it all. The house and surroundings are absolutely beautiful (even better than the pictures) and the location makes you feel like there isn’t another soul within miles - yet you’re still close to everything! Weeks later and the whole family is still talking about it. We’ll never forget La Lomita!!

Hidden retreat in the Rain Forest!

Beautiful modern home tucked away on its own piece of the El Yunque Rainforest! Home is impressively self sufficient with full solar array on the roof and water reclamation system. comes stocked with everything you could possibly need on your stay including washer/dryer, swimming pool with sweeping views of the valley, pool toys, bath products, coffee, everything! The hosts Kim and Hector are wonderful people that went out of their way to ensure our stay was as memorable as possible, and even detailed all the dining, attractions, and entertainment in the area for us! Came here with my Wife and three daughters and out of all the Vrbo locations we stayed at during our trip to Puerto Rico this one was by far our favorite! Thanks for an awesome stay and we hope to return soon!

Awesome stay

We had 5 adult family members and the house had everything for all of us. Hector was helpful, pleasant and so knowledgeable about the area. Although he lived upstairs we never felt like he was intruding in any way. The property was absolutely beautiful. The driveway is pretty steep but navigable easily as it is full concrete. If you love watching rainstorms this is the best view to see them. Hector has 3 little doggies that would come out to say good morning every day but didn’t hang out. They were the sweetest pups. The house was exactly as described and we were happy we chose it.

Just what we wanted!

When our GPS sent us two different ways, Kim was available to help us get on the right track. Puerto Rico has many small hilly roads and steep driveways! Hector has done such a wonderful job of landscaping. There are bananas, papayas, and guyabano growing and available to eat. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We loved sitting outside enjoying the view. After a rain there was a double rainbow to enjoy and to our delight, there was a full moon at night. This was our favorite place to stay during our two week tour of Puerto Rico. We'd like to bring our family down for the next visit. Thanks, Kim and Hector!

Fantastic week in the rainforest

I cannot recommend this home more. Before we came there was very clear communication and detailed instructions for how to get to the home. When we arrived, Hector was home, and came down to show us the ins and outs of the home. My kids, 9,6, and 4, immediately jumped in the pool and swam at least twice each day. My husband had to work form the house, and the internet was perfect for telecommuting. Each room has a smart TV and personal AC. The kitchen had tons of spices, oils, coffee, sugar, anything basic you need. The location was ideal for us because we wanted to explore El Yunque and the north eastern beaches. Five stars all the way!

A stunning piece of paradise!

We loved this property so much that we came for a second time (our first visit was in 2019). Hector and Kim are the most gracious hosts, who we now consider friends. The gardens and grounds are impeccably kept with a wide and wonderful array of blooming and fruiting foliage. We walked the long path to the gate several times daily and found something new or awesome. The house was clean and comfortable, with enough room for our family of six. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and eating on the patio, which has a stunning view of the surrounding rainforest jungle. The pool (added since our first visit) was a fun addition and enjoyed by all. La Lomita was close enough to everywhere we wanted to be and far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our stay was fabulous, and we highly recommend this property. Thanks again, Kim and Hector!

Perfect family getaway

Our group consisted of two generations of cousins for an amazing ladies trip! Cannot say enough about the beauty of this property! The owner was immediately responsive to any questions we had. The pictures do not do it justice. The view off the back patio is a beautiful 180 ° view of the lush jungle/mountain terrain. The accommodations were wonderful. Spacious bedrooms and plenty of areas to commune together indoors or outside on the covered patio. Everything we needed was already provided in the kitchen. Local grocery stores are a few minutes away. We are so glad we did not choose to stay at one of the busy beach condos. Being able to return every evening from our explorations to this amazing secluded oasis was such a blessing! Sounds of exotic birds and the occasional coqui frog were a delight. Honestly we did not want to leave and will return there again.

Best Family Vacation

My family (husband, 22 year old son and 18 year old daughter) had our best family vacation yet. The house was perfect (fluffiest bath towels). We stayed over Christmas and the house was decorated which we appreciated. The pool was a little chilly at times but that didn't stop our kids. Kim was very responsive to all my inquiries (she was in the States) and it was nice having Hector there in case we need anything. We all loved having the kitties and dogs around. The island lost power the last day we were there but, because of the solar power backup, we had no idea until we tried to leave and had to manually open up the driveway gate. We found a fabulous beach 15 min. away and went there almost daily. We drove around the national park, drove along the pork highway, did a waterfall/cliff jumping tour, saw the castle/fortress in old San Juan (get there early! Parking/driving is horrendous!). We never felt unsafe - everyone was so friendly and we only had one waitress who didn't speak English (which was kind of fun trying to communicate with each other). There was so much of the island we didn't get to explore that we'll definitely be back!

This property is gorgeous! We took our 4 children between 3-12 and they all loved the scenery, the pool (which has a light for night swims) and the wild lizards around outside. The hosts Hector and Kim were responsive and helpful! We had the whole ground floor home to ourselves, and had nice chats with Hector and little visits from the owner’s small dogs. The layout is great - we were able to have our own space in bedrooms, and the doors opened up to the pool/outdoor dining area which was super convenient and spacious. There are also great touches like a first aid kit (hiking a waterfall with 4 kids, you know), toiletries, towels, washer/dryer, and pool toys that were those little extras to put this hospitality over the top. We hit main attractions within 7-40 minutes: El Yunque and Luquillo Beaches are very close, and Old San Juan and the BioBay were easy drives. We spent almost a whole day just hanging at the house in the pool and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. I would recommend La Lomita to any kind of group. Fabulous experience.

This place is amazing! My family stayed a few days and then moved onto a beach place. We wish we would have stayed here the whole time. Its secluded but still close to everything. Kim responded quickly to my messages. We didnt meet her, but we met her husband, Hector, and he was a real nice guy. He kept the grounds looking fantastic. They have some cats and dogs that live with them and they are so sweet. My kids fell in love. My daughter is still talking about missing Daisy. I would absolutely stay here again if we ever come back. They have everything you could need for your stay, minus stuff like toothbrush, etc. I felt I overpacked to stay because they had everything I brought. I cant think of 1 negative about this place!

We had a great stay. Nice place, beautiful landscape. Good location between the hustle and bustle of San Juan and the beaches and activities in Fajardo and Luquillo. Instead of cars and music at night, we went to sleep to the sounds of rainforest critters. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of beach towels and the kitchen had everything we needed.

A piece of paradise!

The property is even better than the listing! Its clean, well appointed, safe and very private. We loved the hosts and their sweet little dogs. If we go back to PR, we wouldn't dream to stay anywhere else!

Beautiful Property!

We had a very nice stay at this property. The house was incredibly well stocked, communication was excellent, and we had a great time staying here! The pool was a big hit, as was the outdoor seating area. The drive can be a little steep, but totally doable. You can tell the property is well taken care of! 10/10

Island living

The property is an oasis that invites you with a long and beautiful driveway. If you want to experience the sounds of a rainforest and a cup of coffee in a tropical hillside then this is the property for you. We were able to enjoy a family reunion and introduce our homeland to grandchildren. It was especially beneficial to have solar power and Cistern water when there was an island wide power outage. The highlights are Don Hector who was available nearby to assist in a friendly & welcoming demeanor. There were pets to admire and pet which the little kids appreciated. The large balcony was our favorite spot to gather as a family for meals. Finally, we made use of the kitchen to cook many meals and found that we had what was needed.

Hector grew up in the center of the island (Orocovis) and moved to Michigan in the 70's. Each vacation opportunity, we would return to the island to stay with family. In 2001, we had an opportunity to purchase a piece of land close to a niece's house that we always ended up staying with on vacation because of her great location to everything (and her great Puerto Rican cooking!). When Hector retired in 2010, he returned to his homeland to supervise the construction of this vacation home. In 2015 Hector and Kim moved to the island to manage the vacation rental house.

We chose this location because it is in close proximity to all the attractions and amenities of the big city of San Juan, the kid-friendly beach in Luquillo, and the ferries to neighboring islands Culebra and Vieques. Guests enjoy the privacy of the home and its surrounding tropical fruit trees, flowers, rocks, and palms. We are hybrid Tourists and Locals -- we want to see everything the island has to offer, but we don't want to pay the high costs associated with being a tourist, and we know THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO THE ISLAND THAN SAN JUAN!

The location of this home allows you to vacation comfortably with all the amenities of home. It is close enough to San Juan for an easy road trip, very close to Luquillo Beach, one of the best beaches on the island, and very close to the El Yunque National Forest. Move in for your vacation ... the house allows you to just relax, cook meals if you want, and spend quality time together. Excellent restaurants in close proximity and there is a book in the home containing our personal favorites and former guest recommendations. You can always feel free to ask us too!
