Well maintained home. We loved it being dog friendly and fully fenced in area for dogs to run around in. Great deck and location.

The views from the deck were amazing. Easy beach access although a lot of steps. The top deck was huge and made a great playground for the grandchildren. Lots of space in the great room for everyone and we all could sit at the dining room table with room to spare.

Location can't be beat!

Great spot on the beach. Great house. Could use a little TLC but didn't affect ability to enjoy the stay. Decks out to the beach and sitting in the hot tub listening to the ocean were wonderful.

The house was very clean and spacious. Everything worked properly as it should. The elaborate back deck was the best part about the place. It has connected top and bottom levels that go right to the beach. The top level is magnificent for its views (especially at sunrise), and has picnic benches and chairs. There are gates at the top of each set of stairs on the deck, which is helpful if you have dogs or small kids. We had a magnificent stay, and I'd definitely want to go back one day!

Spring 2021

Duck Down was clean, well stocked and had amazing, ocean views. It has a wonderful, fenced yard and deck for dogs and the floor plan is perfect for families. We enjoyed being so close to all of the shops and restaurants! Thanks for a great vacation!

Christmas 2020

The house is a little worn and shows signs of repair work. It needs some tender loving care but was comfortable and right on the beach.

Great spot on the beach for our family and dogs

Specifically reserved this house as it is in Duck where the pups can run free on the beach. The house was super dog friendly with multiple gates restricting access to the beach from the porch, but giving free access to the dog run. The house had plenty of kitchenware and a huge table to seat everyone or do puzzles! Don't plan to use the grill though! Property management was awesome as well. We had a few maintenance things that needed to be addressed and they fixed them right away. Definitely would stay here again!

Hot tub needs to be updated as most of the jets did not work. Great house as location is awesome. My only complaint other than the hot tub needs to updated is that a maintenance person (who was very nice and professional) showed up and let himself in and I only heard him when he was almost up on the third level. He was not aware that someone was renting for the week. I would of appreciated a phone call prior.

Thank you for your 5-Star review of "Duck Down." We apologize the jets on the tub were not to your expectations but we have notified the property owner of your comments and he has promised action. We also apologize for the property owner's technician surprising you during your stay. Our staff did inform the company there was a guest in house, but it was obviously not passed along. It is our practice to shout out "Maintenance" when opening the door. We have advised the property owner of this so he can address it with the technician and it won't happen again. We look forward to having you back.

Such a great home that met most of our needs and you can't beat the location if you want a nice relaxing vacation. The decks were my favorite place to just sit and listen to the ocean and watch the waves! We loved that the house was pet friendly and there was a yard for them to run around in. We did have aome issues with main lights being out but they came and fixed them within 36 hrs. 2 issues that I did have was 1) the lights that are out front to illuminate the driveway and yard where the animals run around didn't work and weren't fixed while we were there and 2) not all the jets im the hot tub were working which was a bummer when you had more then 1 people in the hot tub. Otherwise, it was a great home!

Location is amazing

We really enjoyed our trip and time at Duck Downs. The convenience to bring our dog and have a family friendly house right on the water was unbeatable. To walk down and back to the beach throughout the day made it so much easier than packing and loading up everything. The house itself is clean and has what you need for your vacation, though it feels a little weathered.
