Ha’ena Dream

The house is the first in the area I’ve been to with both sunrise and sunsets visible from the point. Very nicely furnished home, great ocean views. You won’t be disappointed!!

Beautiful Property

We had a lovely time in Haena at this rental property. It was our first time in Kauai and the beauty of the island did not disappoint. The house was everything we needed it to be and it was unique that there was a pool. It is a little bit of a drive to many tourist attractions so be sure you have a rental car and if you have kids coordinate child care early because not everyone is willing to go into Haena. We had a lovely time and hope to visit again very soon!

Awesome place, awesome location.

The house is great, air-conditioning, the grill, the oven - all worked well, location can’t be beat. A pool is a nice addition - refreshing swim after dinner, watching the stars was cool :-)

Great location and awesome house

House was beautiful and very comfortable. Having air conditioning was very nice in Kauai. The location was exceptional and right on the water. It was only 15 minute walk to Tunnels Beach. Excellent stay. I would highly recommend the house to anybody.

Amazing Spot

15 min walk on the beach to Tunnels, 20 min drive to town. Great views and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

A Piece of Heaven on Earth

This was our second stay at Holo Makani—beautiful setting, fabulous house with everything you could ever need, and excellent property management. We have traveled many places and stayed in many rentals but we are all in agreement that this is our favorite!

Little slice of Paradise!

We loved this beautiful home and setting. We can't wait to come back. The beach was steps away and we spent hours just beach combing. The house is so well furnished, made for comfort with style.

We had the pleasure of staying at Holo Makani for one month and it was an absolute dream. I only with we had stayed longer. Joanne, Holly, and Don all made the stay perfect and I can't thank them enough.

Wonderful stay

Holo Makani is even better than it looks! It was the perfect house and the perfect location for exploring the north shore. We especially loved listening to the water all night and the beautiful views from the house. The house has everything you need for preparing meals, spending time at the beach or just relaxing on the lanai. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing

Our stay was nothing short of magical! The house was even better than described. Beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen was stocked with high quality items. We loved the games and books in the home. The pool was so much fun. Great rental!

Very nice

This property was really great. It was comfortable, clean, and felt very homey. The property owner worked with me on last minute accommodations. This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in NOLA when I come back to town with my kids & we would happily stay here again

Not Exactly Bad But......

This basically beautiful house looked better in the photos than in reality. It would really benefit from some TLC before guests check in. No one will meet you upon check-in, so you have to figure out how everything works by yourself. It smelled a bit stale and was all closed up when we arrived. No welcoming flowers, fruit or wine bottle but plenty of notes of 'Do Not...'For a rental cost of over 1800 per night I have higher expectations!!

Kauai on the Sand

Amazing place. My wife and I celebrated 20 years of marriage by staying here for 9 days. Amazing home, location is perfect with great long beach walks from backyard. Remote location, but yet 10 minutes or so to grocery/ restaurants / shops. Home has just about everything you could ask for. Felt guilty that we did not share the place by inviting friends or family... Blessed to have been able to stay here... We will be back!

Home away from home!

My adult daughter and I came here to rest and heal and we couldn't be happier! We slept, cooked delicious meals in the glorious kitchen and went for leisurely strolls on the beach. We were totally supported by Joanne and her staff... oh my...I am already thinking about when and how I can return... Can't imagine staying any where else on the island. The views are spectacular and the entire experience profoundly peaceful and healing.

I could live on the porch!

Spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean that you can enjoy from the porch. The porch alone is a place I could stay the entire time. But when you open up all the sliding glass doors the whole house turns into a lanai. Its fantastic. The kitchen has everything you need too. The ocean hums you to sleep at night and you can literally fall out of bed onto the beach in the morning.

The perfect stay...

This property is perfect. From start to finish, our stay was amazing. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived, not a thing out of place, and tons of amenities: extremely well stocked kitchen (large enough to cook together), beach towels, very good hotel quality linens and toiletries, comfy beds, a/c in two of the bedrooms, . The location is lovely, a short drive to Hanalei where there is a small (by big city standards) grocery store that had everything we needed and plenty of shopping and dining and activity. A short walk straight out the back porch, maybe ten steps, and you are on the beach. Less than a mile walk along the beach and you are snorkeling at the Tunnels. Beautifully decorated. And the management team is absolutely wonderful. Nice people, and the communication was clear and concise from booking through our stay, including local suggestions and information. There was a regatta in Hanalei which changed the traffic patterns one of the days we were there and we received an email detailing the event in plenty of time to incorporate that information into our plans. Most management teams are just not that proactive, but this one is. A super great experience. Location is ideal for lots of beaches, kayak rental in Hanalei, the helicopter tours out of Princeville and the Princeville Ranch ATV/Horseback riding experiences. Highly recommend.

Tranquil and peaceful

Proximity to beach, natural light, and tranquility above expected. They charged for heating the pool, which was unexpected--its possible that I missed it in the contract. Overall Great experience. Will return someday soon!

Beautiful north shore retreat!

This was the perfect house for my family to retreat for a week - nearby Hanalei was lovely and we found several beaches to drive to for swimming. The beach outside the property is not swimmable, as described in the listing, but there are many spots nearby. The house had everything we needed to dine in, plenty of towels and great laundry room. The kids also loved the private pool! Being new to this island, we were expecting some rain (and were pleasantly surprised with great weather!) but we were not aware that this time of year the strong swells/tide washes out the snorkeling areas, so we had to alter plans as the nearby snorkeling beaches were not swimmable. Even so, it was a beautiful area and so peaceful just listening to the ocean. We can’t wait to come back!
