AC went out during our first night in the place. Technician came promptly the next day, said that the fan motor had blown and would try to locate a new motor to replace, but that it may need to be ordered; said he would update me. There was no update and we were without AC for the entire week, which was very warm (mid-August). Lake-facing upstairs bedroom was so hot we couldn't sleep there at night, despite using multiple fans. This was by far the biggest problem.
Problem #2: the wi-fi was not working for most of our stay, which was extremely frustrating as I was attempting to get work done remotely, and the kids were trying to use Netflix. Signal would come and go resulting in multiple lengthy interruptions.
Additionally, there was no cutting board in the kitchen, which required us to cut fruits and vegetables on plates, which was a bit awkward.
Downstairs TV/video was difficult to operate and in order to use DVD player we had to jerry-rig a platform to suspend the unit so that the connector plug from the TV could reach.
Enjoyed our time in DCL as always, but these setbacks were significant negatives. Would probably not stay in this particular unit again due to these issues we experienced.
