Ca. en time til Amish Country.(Mount Hope) Ideelt som et tilbagetog for ugen eller weekenden. Sovepladser mindst ni i alt. To i private soveværelse (dronning) og to i privat soveværelse ovenpå.(dronning), masser af ekstra puder lige fra blød til hård, både store og små. Master med privat udendørs adgang og badeværelse. Terrassedøre giver smukke udendørs lyde og brise! Ny central varme og luft installeret i denne uge. Jeg forlod vinduesenheder i, hvis du foretrækker lokal køling. Kan fjerne senere, afhængig af centralens ydeevne! Køkken fuldt udstyret. Granit bordplader, mikroovn, komfur, opvaskemaskine, køleskab. Omvendt osmose walter filtreringssystem i køkkenet. Fire badeværelser (badekar i mester virker ikke) central propan opvarmning og køling installeret feb. 2019. 50.000BTU pelletskamin i hoved stue og brændeovn. Kabel og internet. Direkte tv kasser i stue og soveværelse nedenunder. Ovenpå tv er kun til film og lokal antenne tv. Hvis du har ubegrænsede data på din telefon, kan du bruge dit mobil hotspot til at streame. Hughes internet tillader ikke streaming! Vi er for fjerntliggende !!!Tredje badeværelse i mudroom med separat adgang for mudrede vandrere. Dette er en original laden. Bemærk venligst: dette er en reelt genoprettet stald! Der er godt vand. Der er en renser på køkkenvasken og et nyinstalleret helhus RO-system, men vi bringer vand til at drikke.
Det behandles for bugs bi årligt, men der kan meget godt være nogle. Dette er en original laden fra 1800'erne. Der er hunde, roosters, køer og høns på tværs af vejen! Der er vådområder med fugle og masser af kalkun og hjorte. Ingen jagt !!!!Der er en
ny fire brænder Weber grill på dækket, samt en Charcoal grill. Firepit uden for, også. Tak for at se!

Leslie was very helpful both before and after renting. She checked in with us during our stay. She even made the effort to return an item that we had inadvertently left. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Thanks Leslie for a good trip.

WOW! What an absolutely gorgeous place! How Leslie had the vision to makeover this old barn is beyond me! The history of this barn/turned into a beauuuuutiful home is super cool!! We felt like we had walked on to the set of Yellowstone! Located in the middle of cornfields and cattle, there is PLENTY of room for everyone, so cozy, warm, welcoming! A GREAT LOFT with a catwalk to the game room, great porches and fire pit outside. Best part was the dream kitchen in which to open a bottle of wine, cook dinner for some hungry equestrians, and linger over coffee (decaf) to unwind. A perfect place to come “home” to after a full day of competition at Bravehorse (only a 20 minute drive). We will definitely book this beautiful barn the next show!!! I almost hate to tell everyone about it because I’d secretly want to keep it to myself! lol! But truly… you HAVE to check this treasure out! And Leslie is my favorite host of all time.

A Delightful Experience

Hidden gem

We did a fabulous girls weekend here. It’s a wonderful barn. If I had one complaint, it would be the spiral staircase to the second level. It makes it very challenging to carry a suitcase up, and the steeps are also very slippery. I would also note that the two twin beds are in a loft which if you’re going with family members it is open to down below and if you’re using it for children, it will be too noisy for them if you stay awake after they go to bed early

We stayed at the barn for multiple nights and very much enjoyed it! We had a lot of space in the yard to hang out. Overall we would recommend staying at the barn!

Country Getaway

Enjoyed the unique renovated barn setting. Perfect for our weekend family wedding nearby. Could have used better outside furniture on porch. A little too much of the owners stuff in the house. The coffee machine was nice and very cozy.

Fantastic Stay in Fabulous Renovated Barn for Kenyon graduation (20 minutes away)

Leslie the owner is a delight: accommodating, communicative and conscientious. The Barn was spotless and has a well-equipped kitchen, cozy robes and towel sets thoughtfully laid out in multiple baths. Attractive and eclectic decor with a nod to barn style. Primary bedroom mattress was so comfy! Great common space to relax. We enjoyed the covered porch with pastoral views of the meadows. We had a party of 6 and it worked perfectly for our group ages 21-60.

The perfect place for a memorable experience

This gem located in the heart of Ohio will leave you speechless. Leslie has thought of everything and the attention to detail is something that truly sets this stay apart from others. From a fully equipped luxury kitchen with a grill outside, to the sauna and a bathtub fit for a king (or queen)...to the cozy feel you get from a fire burning in the fireplace as you lounge on the comfiest couch sharing time with friends and loved ones...this is a place perfect for making lasting memories. Leslie was extremely responsive, understanding of our circumstances leading up to the stay, and did everything you could ask of a host. We are extremely grateful to have found this special stay and to have had an exemplary host such as Leslie.

A lovely stay!

We had a great visit at this property! It was a convenient location for us, as we have family in the surrounding area. The barn is spacious but with a cozy feel and all the renovations they have done are impressive. It is stocked with everything you could want for your stay and then some. We will gladly return again!

Leslie and her barn are just amazing. I’ve been a lot of places and this barn is my second favorite. If you haven’t been there I’d highly recommend it. The barn and everything in it is of the highest quality, and very unique. Leslie is by far the nicest host I’ve talked to we’ve never met face to face but she feels like family.

looking to get away from it all and do nothing and found that "nothing" was "the all" i needed

so comming off a very busy growing season at the vineyard and nursery we work at, with only 2 weeks to ourselves before "wreath season" we were beyond needing to get away. and getting away for us is usually the beach,but my family likes to pride ourselves on doing things diffrent,,break away from "our norm" and i had been looking at The Brn for some time now and just never "took that break from our "norm". so a quick family meeting and we all said we had done nothing different this year,,so the barn was chosen. and the fact that "fur baby's" are allowed,,well enough said, deal DONE! the Barn was exactly as described and then some,, like you get off the highway and drive through some pretty awesome countryside,, peacefull, fresh air,,and blue sky for as far as you can see. This place is a "must see" and "must do" if you want to do "nothing". "nothing" as in do what you want,, wake up fix yourself some good coffee and go out and stand in the lane as the sun comes up,,then wander onto the side pourch and lsiten to the awaken,, the squrills and chipmonks fighting for soybeans and walnuts, the geese in the fields preparing to do whatever it is geese do during the day,, and before yo know it,,it's 11 a.m and you havent even had breakfast. and you never noticed that you do indeed need to eat,,cause there is so much more to do,,thats awaits you in doing "nothing". take a trip down to the alpacca farm,, good products great prices, do to the "pay it forward" store in town,,so worth it,,and go to "the disneyland of ice cream"(as the kids called it" Velvet ice cream. the town of utica is pretty cool. then come back,,plat games in the game room,, make an awesome dinner in the kitchen then ,,even though it was our intention to have a fancy dinner, we all sat on the side pourch and ate. then we walked far ou into the fields and explored as we watched some of the most awesome sunsets ever. BUT be sure to have your fur babys inside by dark,,as the coyotes come running through every night. sooooo cool. we would wait on the porch every night for them to come,,then you would hear them,,it is the most insane noise you ever heard! as they run through the fields and then it just stops!!!! do not be afraid,,they are pretty harmless(i spent years traveling in oregan, washington idaho and montanna,,and i am more afraid of an running elk herd than a coyote). the host are great people,,leave notes and instrutions everywhere,, only thing missing i can think of is an axe,

Great stay for Family Weekend

What a great property! Our family enjoyed our stay while visiting Kenyon College. It's just a short drive to Gambier from the Barn. The property is clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. We love the it is pet friendly. Highly recommend.

Living in the Barn

Awesome property! Very unique and definitely not a "cookie cutter" stay. Leslie was very attentive to every need. She left personal notes and a welcome gift. She also checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was fine. Awesome area to explore (mounds, winery, Granville, Heath, Alligator Mound,). Was a nice place to get away. We had fun visiting our kiddos at Denison. Looking forward to returning...maybe graduation weekend. Very memorable stay.

Amazing Barn!!

Absolutely wonderful property (Barn) - My family and I traveled to Ohio for my son's wedding and chose the property. It is very comfortable, relaxing, and more than we expected. The property is 40 mins from Amish Country - on Saturday we spent the day driving around to Amish shops, flea market, grocery stores, furniture stores, and even rode in an Amish Buggy. The town of Utica is small and very nice with all the things you need; too include the Velvet Ice Cream facotory - a must visit. Leslie was responsive and a pleasure to work with. We will visit again!!!!

Lovely and comfortable!

The barn is far more beautiful in person than the pictures if you ask us! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the owner Leslie is very generous and kind having left us a lovely bottle of wine as we were celebrating our 21st anniversary. We definitely plan to visit again sometime! I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Decided to convert an old barn into a home. it is a romantic, quiet beautiful getaway. I hope you enjoy the get away as much as I do. We do use this, so please treat this as you would your own home! It is more a home than a motel! When we did the renovation, we saved old barn siding from the hayloft and chicken area. We sealed these, and you can see faint calculations and dates on them keeping track of their egg? sales of the day!!!

A location that provides access to charming college communities and the city of Columbus while living in an area full of wildlife, solitude, and sounds of nature surrounding you. at the end of a two-mile gravel road sits an old barn waiting to excite you!Essentially, you are staying in an experience in a secluded part of Ohio. Having said that, you are within an hour's drive of exploring Amish lifestyles, food, and calm simplicity or choose to spend your day in the bustle of Ohio's Capital. Ohio State offers many exciting events. or, simply explore the immediate area, and relax in the barns' welcoming quiet, privacy, and beauty while exploring immediate area. All the small liberal arts colleges that surround it and their restaurants, breweries, and charming parks. Who knows what fair Utica, New Albany, and Johnstown will have? Quiet, remote, well appointed. You step back into time in a truly one-of-a-kind stay! The clawfoot bathtub on the deck has mint, parsley, and basil planted for some fresh spices. Open floor plan. Watch deer and listen to coyotes sitting on the deck grilling or simply having a fire. The stars are exceptional in this out-of-the-way 2-mile gravel road, country setting. There is a small farm across the lane and if they are around, ask to see the cows, the chickens might be over at your place!
