Et smukt og roligt sted, vi håber, du nyder så meget som vi gør. Narrow Lake / Springport ligger lige i hjertet af Michigan. Serenity Now cottage er gemt væk fra støj fra byer og motorveje, og er et sted at komme væk fra det hele.

Narrow Lake er en 93 hektar stor sø, der er stor nok til rekreation af vand, sejlsport, jetski, vandski, kajaksejlads og kano. Der er også et ikke-vågent område, kendt som de smalle, der er et fredfyldt sted perfekt til fiskeri.

The cottage was everything I expected. Fishing off the dock was very rewarding. 17 inch Bass was great fun to bring in.

The host was very helpful and responsive. I even locked us out one day and they dropped everything to run another key over. We loved the spot. The only things I would say is that it's very small. It was fine for the two of us but, any more would make it tight. It's also a little cluttered and pretty dated. Everything is pretty old and is starting to feel a bit run down. The kayaks and lake view were great. Thank you!

Regarding the cottage feeling a bit cluttered or dated, we do try to balance having the conveniences and supplies guests may need with keeping storage, shelves, and racks available for guests’ belongings. The cottage also has a vintage, lake-cottage aesthetic that many of our guests enjoy in the natural setting. That said, we’re continually making improvements, refreshing spaces, and replacing items as needed to keep the cottage comfortable and welcoming. We’re also very grateful you returned our guest book—it had gone missing, and we were disappointed to think we might never see it again! And we’re glad we could help when you accidentally locked yourselves out, even if it meant a very early morning key delivery. 😊 Thank you again for staying with us!

Owner was super helpful and easy to communicate with. They also allowed us to have our fur baby, which doesn’t happen often in rentals!

Nice long weekend getaway

Perfect for a short getaway. This place has everything we needed and right on a quiet little lake. This was our second stay; our experience last time brought us back for another visit.

Very nice!

The cottage was very homey & had a nice view. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck & enjoying the view of the water. We also enjoyed using the kayaks. Will definitely stay here again when in the area...

Beautiful sunsets and good fishing

Gorgeous sunsets. Caught lots of bluegill from the dock. Quiet and peaceful. Dog friendly was a huge plus.

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our time here and especially appreciated that we could bring our dog. The large deck that overlooks the lake is a very relaxing place to catch some sun and to watch sunsets. It’s a nice lake for kayaking and fishing. The owner was very helpful and provided us with all of the information we needed.

Very peaceful, relaxing.

Perfect weather, loved using the deck during evening hours (wasps during the day, but they weren't super aggressive, just active). Perfect place to get away for 3 or 4 days. Connie was very nice as well!

Bad Race Great Stay

Connie was great welcoming my wife and me to the cottage. The gravel race was tough but the peaceful cottage was just what we need to relax and recover in peace. We hope to stay there next year if Connie will have us.

Peace and quiet

We were able to get away with no distractions. A lovely view and adorable cottage with a friendly host. Kayaking, fishing and sunset viewing were top on our list and all were checked off each day.

Relaxing Getaway

Cottage was very cozy with a lot of special touches! Connie was so friendly and helpful! My wife and I were looking for something relaxing and that’s exactly what we got! Spent many hours sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful views! Neighbors were very friendly and quiet. Most of the time we didn’t even know anyone else was around! We will definitely be back!

restful lake cottage

A wonderful cozy cottage on a quiet lake was exactly what I wanted and exactly what I got. The house was clean and cute. Kitchen was adequately stocked with lots of bowls and cups of varying sizes, a few pots and pans, spices and a few pantry staples. The bedroom is just big enough for the bed and one suitcase on the small dresser. We made use of the firepit, grill, boat dock, Netflix and AC, although it was too hot outside to enjoy the deck. Location is private and peaceful away from traffic. Loved the cottage, fishing, and relaxing. Perfect for a couple or small family.

Great deck and dog friendly

Serenity now was perfect for what we needed/wanted- a place on the water where we could take our first family getaway with our 6 month old and 2 dogs. The home had everything we needed and was definitely dog friendly (the couch and rug had existing dog hair on then when we got there, again dog friendly!). The deck was great for looking over the water. Our boxer mix loved going swimming out back but the humans stayed out of the water. I think it would have been fine to swim and there were lots of people swimming a few doors down but it was just a little too murky for me at that time. Nice getaway!

Elissa, we are very sorry you discovered there was dog hair. It reinforces our decision to get rid of the rugs. We ask people to put covers on the couch. We have discovered some breeds have some really tough vacuum resistant shedding! Since your review we have paid extra attention, thank you. The lake has it's own mind some years murky, some years not as much. I am glad you all had fun though!

Rustic lakefront cottage, with room for improvements

The owners, Thad and Connie, were very welcoming (fresh cut flowers) and accommodating (gave us specific directions and even let us delay our check out time due to weather!). We had an ant problem and some mouse droppings that we found on the first day. However Connie came immediately the next morning and set up traps and cleaned a bit. Overall the cottage is cozy and offers great amenities like kayaking, tubing, outdoor fire pit and grill. However, it needs a little attention- The grill would only light with a match, there is no screen in bedroom window, nor on the sliding glass door, so lots of bugs came in despite our efforts to keep them out. And there were several piles of dog poop in the backyard, which we cleaned up the next day. We were the first guests of the season, so I think they just needed to tie a few more loose ends before we got there. But overall, we had a wonderful time.

Thank you for your review Elisa. Because of construction delays, the kitchen renovation was finished literally the day before your stay. We are so sorry that we completely missed some details. • The air conditioner is now in the bedroom window. As we mentioned we ran out of time to install it before your arrival. • We completely forgot to install the slider screen. • Worst, of course, was the mouse issue and dog piles. We've not had an issue with mice and can only chalk it up to the reno - it is most definitely taken care of now - we just hate that we didn't notice it prior to your stay. • As I mentioned, the ants were from the fresh flowers - with peonies comes ants! We haven't seen any since we removed the fresh flowers. Your review has reminded us we need to do a walkthrough of the yard prior to guest arrival to make sure the neighbor dog hasn't visited. I am glad you were comfortable enough to request extending your stay at the cottage beyond the scheduled check out. We also appreciated the nice notes you and your friends left.

Disappointment at best

We planned to stay at this cottage with our 3 children and dog. We were happy that they allowed dogs! The woman met me there. Upon arriving the driveway was too muddy to park in. (I was never informed of this). I parked across the street, and met connie inside. The house seemed good, aside from the trim missing and covered with duct tape and part of the side of the counter falling off. We talked for maybe 5 min and she left. I then brought my children and dog in. When I further examined the place, I noticed it was very dusty and my son and I both were having a hard time breathing. My son has nonverbal autism, epilepsy and an immune condition. I opened up all the windows but it didnt get better, only worse when the heat kicked on. So we had no choice but to leave. While we were there about 30 min,my 15m old spilled some chips.i could only locate a vaccum so I cleaned them up the best I could before leaving but there were some crumbs on the floor. We left and I kindly explained to connie why we had to leave. She said that she had just cleaned, which surprised me. And that she wouldnt be giving us our money back. Then,upon finding the chips she threatened not to give us our deposit back. Very rude and condescending. Anyway after hanging it over my head she finally gave us the deposit. I wouldnt reccomend this property. It is not nearly as clean as it is in the picture.

This review is beyond unfair. We have never encountered a guest with these concerns. I am addressing them below. If you have ANY concerns about the information please contact us. I guarantee you will not have the concerns this person notes. 1. We thoroughly clean the cottage after every stay 2. Our drive is muddy in spring. We have parking right across the street (less than 500 ft from the cottage.) 3. We meet our guests and go through the space to make sure everyone is comfortable as we did with this guest. 4. The bathroom trim is installed and was off only briefly to remove an appliance. (I explained this and she was fine with it. ) 5. The refund policy is included in our listing. Please understand hosts like us are opening up our homes and dedicating time so your stay is pleasant. 6. Deposits are returned quickly. Again, please contact us directly with any concerns.

This space was exactly what we needed after a pretty rough year. The cabin size was just right! I gotta tell you, that backyard deck was where we spent most of our time! We watched pontoons, people fishing, saw beautiful sunsets and plenty of wildlife. Watched 2 elegant swans patrol the whole lake and even saw some hummingbirds!It was peaceful and the folks in the neighborhood were very friendly. There's plenty of water toys that are available to use too! We kayaked almost every day, just casually tooling around the lake! There are also 2 parks with trails that are dog friendly within 45 minutes! We didn't get a chance to actually meet Connie and Thad but we chatted on the phone and they are just the nicest people! (If I owned that place, I hate to say that I probably wouldn't share it with anyone! I'd stay full time!) If you're looking to completely relax, this is the place to stay! Winter Retreat Stay

I rented the cottage for a month as a creative retreat and work space. It was the perfect place to enjoy a bit of silent retreat time, especially during the winter months. Connie was incredible to work with. Highly responsive in communication and the small issues that arose. It was a great stay and I would recommend to friends.

Was very relaxing. Rained a bunch, didn't matter. Enjoyed that deck daily.

Was 1st vakay during summer and 1st vakay in over 20 yrs. Happy with rental. Went to 4H fair in Eaton Rapids. Found homemade meal in Springport.

Relaxing quiet peaceful

We needed a quiet vacation, my wife had major heart surgery exactly one year ago, and my great granddaughter wanted to come on vacation with us she is almost 5, she so wanted to go swimming but this really isn’t a swimming lake, but she also loves fishing the one thing that made this trip was the awesome fishing right off the dock. We had a blast catching and releasing bass, blue hill and perch, are only road trip was to springport for ice cream once a day, would stay again, the deer are all over the place and meet to watch thank you Connie for having us we will see you next year.

Thank you, Brett. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We haven't had much time there yet this year to clean the sea weed. Hopefully next year it will be clearer and the young one may feel more comfortable swimming. It's true it is more of a fishing lake but when we are able to clear it many kids enjoy swimming and the tubes. So glad you caught some fish too! Thank you for catching and releasing - ensures you will leave some for next year. Enjoy your summer.

Serenity Now Cottage offers lakeside peace, unique views, and memorable experiences for a relaxing getaway or extended stay.

You are welcome at Serenity Now Cottage, a peaceful retreat tucked away from the noise of cities and highways, right in the heart of Michigan on Narrow Lake in Springport. Michigan.

Serenity Now cottage is a sweet and quaint cottage off the beaten path yet close enough to towns and attractions. This is not a Hilton with marble sinks and connoisseur service, it’s a small, clean family cottage with most of the comforts of home and lots of outdoor fun.

Narrow Lake spans 93 acres—large enough for boating, jet skiing, water skiing, kayaking, and canoeing—yet calm and relaxing. The no-wake Narrows is especially serene and perfect for fishing. Guests can bring their own boats and dock them right in front of the cottage, with a trailer spot conveniently located across the street. A public boat launch is also available on the opposite side of the lake.

The cozy cottage is ideal for a couple or small family and features: 1 bedroom with a queen bed, a full-size sleeper sofa in the living room, towels and linens, full kitchen, ¾ bath, TV and DVD player, free WiFi, local TV, and a gas grill.

Relax on the large deck with morning coffee or a sunset drink, enjoy lakeside covered seating with a fire in the nearby pit, or simply admire the nature views through the expansive windows.

Nearby, there’s a party store across the lake, Meijer within 7 miles, and dining options from casual to fine—Duck Lake Bar & Grill, Springport Hotel Tavern, Charlotte, Eaton Rapids, Olivet, the English Inn, or Schuler’s in Marshall. Outdoor lovers can explore Crandell Park (7 minutes), Bennett Park, or stroll the charming Olivet College campus. Day trips include Lansing, Battle Creek, FireKeepers Casino, Hastings, MSU, and Kalamazoo, all within an hour or so.
