Excellent location! Within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and a nice park overlooking the marina. The cottage is small but comfortable. We had a nice breeze off the bay and sat on the patio with a glass of wine every evening. would gladly return next year.

Door county weekend

The cottage is exactly as described. Perfect for 2 people. Cleanest B & B we have ever stayed at! We will stay again if we get back to Door County.

We stayed for the weekend at the cabin and really enjoyed the location. What we found difficult to ignore was the smell. Unfortunately, it smelled like a pet had used the restroom on the living room carpet - we attempted to open windows, use the A/C, as well as the fan and nothing worked. We really wanted to love the place because we really didn’t need anything other than a place to stay that was close to town, but it ended up being a serious headache.

Great little cabin

The location was absolutely perfect and had so many places within walking distance! Perfect for a get a way weekend for me, my boyfriend and our dog! Will definitely stay again!

Sweet Bluejay

This home is perfect for two. Location is absolutely stellar, both in Egg Harbor & in Door County. Front porch/deck is a lovely "sit" with morning coffee or evening wine. I would definitely stay again.

End of Summer Getaway

This was perfectly located for day trips… We spent a few days exploring the various towns in Door County… this cottage was walking distance from great eating places and the Egg Harbor Marina.

Perfect location!

We were pleasantly surprised by the location of this cottage. We were walking distance from downtown Egg Harbor and the marina! It was on a side road that wasn’t busy & filled with traffic, yet close enough to the downtown restaurants/stores. Great place!

Blue Jay-June 2024

This was a perfect little cottage in a great location. The large deck was a bonus, especially with our dog. We would definitely stay at the Blue Jay again. A couple towel bars in the bathroom would be helpful, but it wasn't a huge deal.

Strong musty smell

Cottage was clean and great location to walk everywhere. The strong musty smell was causing coughing. We had to open windows and door. I would not stay here again.

Location, location, location!

Minutes from Lake Michigan & downtown Egg Harbor. Great restaurants and shopping. We were able to bring our dogs, which made the weekend visit extra special. We had a wonderful time. Would book again. Note to owner, mgt co: Please consider improving the walkway leading to the door and add lighting. We came in the dark when raining and it was tricky getting to the door. Or perhaps add stairs to the deck. Thanks!

The location was the only positive quality of this trip!

The Blue Jay cottage was rented for a week, and we only stayed two nights! The place smelled heavily of mold which wasn't remedied by Lysol and Pine Sol which I bought to help rectify the issue. There were six windows in total, however only three opened, the others were nailed shut. The door to the patio/ deck had no screen and every time it was open, hundreds of mosquitoes flew into the room. Also, the door to the patio was very difficult to open and close. When we checked out early, the owners didn't appear to care about our reasons for leaving. We have tried to get reimbursed for this disappointing experience. So far, no success with that. Don't rent this cottage!

This cottage is in a great location in walking distance of downtown Eggs Harbor. It's the perfect size for my husband and me and our dog. We would definitely stay here again.

I was born and raised in Egg Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin. I attended grade school in Egg Harbor and Gibraltar H.S. in Fish Creek, and I am a UW - Madison graduate. Our family business has been the Alpine Resort and Golf Course in Egg Harbor. After 100 years of ownership, we have sold the business to a new owner. My family continues to rent our eight vacation houses in Egg Harbor seasonally. I have two sons and live in Sturgeon Bay. We have a golden retriever that is very active and playful and he loves to swim.

The Blue Jay house has been in our family from the beginning. It's close to all the great things Egg Harbor (and Door County) has to offer. It's only available for vacations in the spring, summer and fall. My family is very protective of this house and keep it very clean and well maintained.

This house is the perfect little vacation cottage. It's located in an area of private summer homes with lots of trees and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars, the Egg Harbor Marina, galleries, free summer concerts and groceries in Egg Harbor. It's 1/2 mile to the Egg Harbor beach. Located on Whitecliff Road, there's plenty of opportunity for walks with public access to the water every few hundred feet.
