Anne, thank you for your review and appreciate your comments, apologies if we didn't meet your expectations for this stay it is unusual and we do pride ourselves on being a very welcoming family and responsive to our guests requirements. Storm Babet did bring some unfortunate and torrential rain which was unusual and it now appears there was a small leak down the fire flue into the fireplace from wind driven rain down the chimney, however I am not aware of any communication regarding this during your stay nor was it identified to us on your kind note you left or when we chatted with you after the storm or before your departure, your review unfortunatley was the first we had heard otherwise we would of course have attended at the time living next door. I apologise if you found check in difficult. Dominique did come out to meet you personally when the intercom was pressed and you popped your head over the gate however when she arrived you had unfortunately left and there was some confusion over your whereabouts, we tried to call a number of times to find you and let you in but it appears your US number was uncontactable and I did let you in personally when I managed to get through to Mike. As you say the Stables is in a great location and we hope you had a comfortable stay. We acknowledge your comments and will look to clarify further in our pre stay details other methods of contact other than by phone such as knocking on our door, the VRBO app or email for future stays. I hope you had a safe trip home.
