Another Wonderful Stay in D-14

We enjoyed everything about this condo. It is very comfortable, well equipped and nicely updated. We like the unit’s walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The owner is very responsive and makes check-in very easy. We highly recommend this condo.

Wonderful week

This condo was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Alex is a very attentive owner who goes beyond the usual to make sure his guests feel welcome and appreciated. We had one small problem when we arrived but Alex made sure it was quickly remedied. Can’t think of a better place to stay. Thanks Alex.

Outstanding stay. Wonderful proprietor.

The comfortable and immaculate waterfront unit is recently and beautifully updated. Proprietor Alex --- eho is always available by phone or text -- has made certain it contains just about anything you might need for your stay, the beach, and snorkeling. The Kona Reef complex is meat, clean and has a wonderful oceanfront swimming pool and grassy frontage. Ideal location, great kitchen, cozy king bed with plenty of closet space. You can't askbfor better. We'll be back.

Great place to stay

This is a clean, well-cared for, oceanfront property located right downtown. The view is great, and you can fall asleep listening to the ocean.

Fantastic Trip to the Big Island

The Condo was absolutely wonderful and the view was even better. The owner is not only a great host but the condo is nicely done with all the amenities! The pool was amazing and the location was spot on! If your looking for an amazing trip and stay on the Big Island this is the place

Kona Condo

We loved the property! It was very clean and well stocked. The host, Alex, was very helpful both before and during our stay. It was an excellent location, within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend this condo!

Just what we needed

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The views and the sounds of the ocean were relaxing and the location was highly desirable. The sunsets every evening were beautiful. Communication with the host was excellent! Alex was always willing to help and offer suggestions and advice. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed celebrating part of our 25th anniversary trip here. We hope to come back soon and will plan to stay here again when we do. Thank you!

Enjoyable stay

We spent two weeks at the condo and had a wonderful time. The condo was well furnished and very clean. We liked the fact that it included snorkeling gear, beach chairs and other little items that you use while there including a good number of books. The condo is in a great location and you can see and hear the ocean at all times. It's sunsets were wonderful. Highly recommend!

Awesome Condo! Alex makes sure you have everything you need. The ocean is about 10 feet away and you have a perfect view of the sunset every night. Restaurants and shops are just a couple of minute walk away. It is the perfect home base for your Big Island Adventures! We have stayed here multiple times. It’s my wife and I’s favorite!

Everything you could ask for and more!

Great condo! Very clean, well stocked, beautiful style and decor. The location can't be beat...walking to town or driving around the island; just the perfect home base for your Hawaii vacation. Breakfast on the lanai (what a view), sunsets by the pool, relaxing after a busy day, all wonderful with our stay. Thanks Alex for your attention to detail and for sharing this amazing property. Awesome!

This rental was amazing. It was clean, we'll maintained, has an awesome view, and is super close to downtown kona and tons of restaurants. It was also very well stocked, snorkel gear, beach chairs, kitchen supplies, virtually everthing we needed. Alex was extremely helpful and provided a wealth of information about activities, directions, restaurants. We look forward to returning in the future.

Vacation renter

We have rented vacation rentals at the Kona Reef many times before, but this was the best experience we have encountered. The owner of the condo. Alex Douglas was very helpful in making our stay a pleasurable experience. Whenever we had a question we were able to contact him imediately for an answer. He was gracious and always had the answers we needed. We would definitely rent the condo should we make another vacation trip to Kona. Charles and Nancy Pew

NICE condo

This is the nicest condo we have stayed in on the Big Island. Not only is it right on the water, it is so close to town. You can walk to town all the the time, it's that close. Very clean and furnished very confortablely. You will spend most of your time on the lanai watching all the activies in the bay. Alex was very helpful in his suggestions and answering our questions. We will recommend this condo to every one of our friends. Stay here and you will have a very pleasent time in Kona.

Excellent!

This was my second stay in the Duncan property. That's my first comment, I wanted to come back! As hard as it was to top my prior experience, they did. They had updated and improved the kitchen and bathroom, plus the sliding glass door to the lanai. As before, every interaction with them was prompt and professional. This recent visit there, won't be my last.

Tropical Breezes

We have stayed in this Kona Reef unit several times. We always return to it because it is clean, comfortable, well equipped and has lots of extras such as beach chairs and snorkel gear. There is an air conditioner but we never feel a need for it. We just open the door, lock the security screen and let the gentle tropical breezes flow through the unit. Michelle and Alex are great owners and very responsive to any needs.

Kona Reef Unit D12

D12 is a beautiful condo, with an amazing ocean view from the lanai. The entire unit appears to have been renovated/updated sometime within the last few years, and is in excellent condition. The owners (hosts) were some of the best we have ever experienced. Alex went out of his way to accommodate anything we needed, from helpful tips upon our arrival, to providing suggestions on restaurants, and things to do and see on the Big Island. Overall, this condo, and Alex were a huge contribution to us having one of our best vacations ever. I would highly recommend this property, and would definitely stay there again.

WOW, I wish I could give 1000 stars!!!!!!

"Wow" is all we could say when we walked in this condo. This condo has everything you can think of, a well stocked kitchen for cooking, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, a cooler, and snorkel gear. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, with high quality sheets and an extra blanket if needed. The view is just amazing, the lanai has high quality, very comfortable patio furniture with views of the beautiful sunsets as well as great entertainment watching the surfers and boogie boarders ride the waves. The owner was very good at communicating, providing great restaurant recommendations, answering questions about the condo, and the island itself. The owners have an exceptional place here, it is very clean, had everything we needed and more. They take pride in this home and it shows, we could not have picked a better place!! A huge Mahalo for your hospitality!

The Greatest Condo Of All

First of all words cannot describe the sound of the waves and the scent of the sea and the beauty of Kona. This condo is a haven with all of that and more including whale watching from the Lanai ( balcony) and glorious sunsets. Wait before you get outdoor supplies as there are matts, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and scuba gear. Everything in the condo was clean and in working order. The communication with Alex was as easy as communication with a good friend, always available with caring and excellent suggestions. Best vacation ever. Thank you Alex & Michele! Maxine & Bruce We hope to return sooner than later!

Wonderful vacation condo!!

This condo is great! It's right on the water. Beautiful sunsets. Sound of waves crashing on the beach. Otherwise it's quiet. Location is great. It's walking distance to the restaurants and shops along Alii Drive, plus it's a good launching spot for all of your island activities. There is a small beach right next door. Clean, updated, well-equipped kitchen and bath. Before and during the stay, had quick conversations with the owner. He is friendly and very helpful with suggestions of activities and places to eat. If our travels take us back to Kona, we'll be staying there again. Thanks

Love Alex and Michele’s condo

We loved our stay here at Alex and Michele’s condo. It’s located overlooking the shore and provides perfect views of sunsets. It’s quiet, yet conveniently located near all the action in downtown Kona. The kitchen is well equipped, especially for BarBQing on the grills near the pool. We like to eat in most of the time, so we appreciated having all the tools to cook in the condo kitchen. We also appreciated having more than one luggage rack to unpack our suitcases. Their condo has three! Anything that you need for a trip to the beach is also provided. Most of all, we appreciated having Alex check in with us to make sure everything was ok and to give helpful suggestions about things to do. Can’t wait to get back to this great place again in the future!

Location location location!

The condo is located right on the shoreline and the views are spectacular! If there is any doubt, all the snorkel and whale watching tours are right in front our the condo! We are located within 1/4 or less of restaurants and shops! It’s an easy walk for breakfast, lunch or dinner! We enjoyed exploring the island and doing various tours. Alex had some great recommendations such as Greenwell Coffee tour and The Coffee Shack! The Manta Ray swim was a highlight of our trip! Use Sea Paradise if you want to do it! Very professional crew and brand new 50’ catamaran. Alex and Michele are the best host and communicate a lot to make your visit a plus. We will be back!
