"FANTASTISKE!" 5 STAR ADOBE HJEM, HISTORISK DISTRIKT, Nem at gå til PLAZA & CANYON RD.

Richard, I can't offer any reasons that don't sound like excuses. This is not normal for our housekeeping crew. I have spoken with the owner of the company, and he assures that he has spoken with his crew. You should expect this to be corrected for your next stay. ?We appreciate your loyalty and concern for our home and gardensl Marilyn and Ed "Mi casa es su casa!"

Thank you, Mo. We are glad you enjoyed Santa Fe and Casa Grande and hope you can return. Happy trails, Marilyn and Ed

We hope you enjoyed so much of what SF has to offer. Hope you can return and experience things you didn’t have time to see/do this trip. M&E

Steve, that is music to our ears. We love it when our guests appreciate just how important it is to us that you and other guests have an exceptional experience in our home.

Tracey, We are glad you seem to have enjoyed your stay. What could/should we do to garner that fifth star? You probably selected our house based on our five star rating. In this business the ratings are crucial. Was the housekeeping not up to par? Were the flowers not fresh enough? Did the property manager not respond to something in a timely manner? Did we not leave enough Champagne or chocolates? Did the artwork fall short of your expectations? Was the 10-20 minute walk to the plaza or Canyon Road too far? Did our pictures or descriptions on the VRBO site misrepresent the property or cause your expectations to be too high? It might interest you to know that you are one of only two parties out of 75 total ratings that were not 5 stars. Is there a chance you meant to rate us 5 and missed a key stroke? We really appreciate and solicit constructive criticism and/or suggestions and would like to hear back. Thank. We hope to have you as guests again. Warmly, Ed &Marilyn

Thank you for the praise. We are happy that our home suited your birthday celebration so well. We hope the weather was warm enough to spend time in the patios. You were great guests, and we would love to have you back. Can we book you for the 51st party next year? Just kidding, but we do hope to see you again. We have a fabulous two bedroom casita just down the street and it is only a 15 minute walk instead of the 20 minutes from the big house. It would be our great fortune to get to meet you in SF some day. Warmest regards, E&M

Dear Martha, We hope this note finds you happy and healthy. Marilyn and I wanted to let you know that we have now air contioned the downstairs at Casa Grande. Until this summer yours was the only comment about the downstairs being too warm. Under normal summer weather, the upstairs A/C which has a large vent above the stairwell would generate enough cold air to cool the downstairs adequately. However, this extraordinarily hot summer triggered our second and only other comment about the temps downstairs. Because of the unusual layout and structure of the house, AC installation was a bit tricky, but we designed an effective way to cool the downstairs indenpendent of the upstairs. We wanted you to know that your feedback did not fall on dear ears. Formerly warm regards now cool regards, Ed and Marilyn

Phoebe, Marilyn and I are so glad you all enjoyed the house so much. That is exactly what we wanted. You are welcome back anytime. Just let us know what date you think you'd like, and we will hold them for you. We tried to take special care of our prior guests. Please remember if you want to sneak off for a romantic getaway, We have Casa Estrella about 350 yards down the street. It was a gorgeous two bedroom two bathroom casita with beautiful landscaping with fountains and flowers. It is off Garcia on a private deadend lane. VRBO #272512. Thank you and your family so much for entrusting your vacation with us and appreciating our home as much as we do. Warmest regards, Marilyn and Ed

Cissy, Both Pam and our housekeeping owner came up with one cotton bathrobe missing from the middle downstairs bedroom. It was not in either of the other bed/bathrooms or in the washer or dryer. Do you have any idea what may have happened to it? Thank you, Ed

Tim, Thanks so much for the glowing review. We solicit your suggestions for things we could do to make it closer to perfect to enhance a guest's experience, our goal from day one. Each time we're there (4-6X per year) we do or add something to enhance the house and grounds and/or add an objet d'art or work of regional interest. We will be there with friends in a couple of weeks, and I will be installing a work of significant import with a humorous twist. Marilyn doesn't know about it yet, so let's hope for the best. Grande will assuredly be subtly or obviously different the next time you visit . For instance, we just installed the large river boulder and grasses by the front gate this past fall to jazz up a flat corner. P.S. If you like this house, you will love the two bedroom casita we have down the street. ella, Casa Estra five minute walk down Garcia. It is a cozy, very romantic adobe surrounded by lush gardens both filled with art, sculpture and two water features. The VRBO number is 272512, and it is not any more expensive than a nice room in town. Slip away to the casita with the love of your life if you want to be a hero or get out of the dog house. We hope someday we will get an opportunity to meet.you. Warmest regards, Ed and Marilyn

Karen, thank you for the glowing review and for entrusting your vacation to us. We hope the rain cooled it enough for you to use the fireplaces. The balcony really is wonderful for rainy and snowy days, isn't it? One can be outside and still stay warm and dry. Marilyn and I like to bundle up and sit out with a cup of hot chocolate and just watch the rain or snow fall. It is so peaceful and quiet. We are especially glad you enjoyed our art work. Finding special pieces that are particularly meaningful to us is one of the really fun parts for owning the house and getting to share it with wonderful guests like you is another. We added several sculptures we found at Indian Market in August and will continue to enhance our collection. It is always a work in progress. We hope you can return to enjoy the outside patios during drier weather. Rain like that five days in a row is pretty unusual. In the "monsoon" season in the summer, we traditionally get light daily showers only lasting for a short period. It sounds like you hit the mother of all SF monsoon seasons. On April 29th this year, we received 7-9 inches of snow. We have pictures of our other house in SF with the trees, parapets and fences covered in snow. If you would like to see that image, go to VRBO#272512, Casa Estrella. It is a two bedroom, two bath casita just a five minute walk from where you stayed, Casa Grande. It is a sweet, romantic little house with lush private gardens and a completely different art collection that rivals Casa Grande in case you ever need smaller accommodations. Thanks again for selecting our house for your Santa Fe vacation. With much appreciation and warm regards, Marilyn and Ed

Dear Margaret and entourage, We are so happy you were all pleased with the house, art and gardens, especially the patio. That is a favorite spot for us as well. The place is a bit of a treasure hunt for the art, isn't it. The next time you come, there will be more to find. We are considering additional sculpture in the lower native Zen garden, so it should be different when you return. We certainly hope you can. We are so fortunate that our guests are as nice as you are. Maybe we can all meet in Santa Fe some day. With warmest regards, Ed and Marilyn
