En attraktiv, rummelig og stilfuld 3 værelses bungalow med en behagelig udsigt over træerne mod havet. Ti minutter fra stranden og butikkerne. Sea Grove er indrettet og udstyret til en høj standard og tilbyder meget komfortabel familieindkvartering. Det store dæk / gårdhave med fantastisk kystnære udsigter er et perfekt sted for alfresco spisning på en sommer aften mens du nyder et glas vin.
Ventnor har en dejlig strandpromenade med en halvmåneformet strand med sand og sten. Gå de smukke kyststier langs havmuren til Bonchurch eller til den 'hemmelige cove' i Steephill.

I centrum af Ventnor er der fordel for en hovedgade, parker og haver, et stort udvalg af butikker, pubber og spisesteder med friskfanget fisk til salg i Haven.
Lokale steder af interesse omfatter Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Isle of Wight Coastal Besøgscenter, Appuldurcombe House, Isle of Wight Glass, et ænderhelligdom og St Boniface Down, som er det højeste punkt på Isle of Wight. I nærheden er Blackgang Chine og de smukke stråtækte landsbyer Old Shanklin og Godshill.

Lovely quiet setting with wonderful views.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ventnor at Sea Grove. The house had everything we needed and more, and the accommodation met our needs perfectly. We hope to return!

Week in Ventnor

Property was lovely, had everything you could need for a comfortable stay On a hill, so be prepared for plenty of walking up & down to the local town & beaches!

Family holiday

Had a really lovely time here. 5 adults, 1 two year old and dog. Garden not quite small dog proof but we managed. Lovely weather so enjoyed lots of barbecues in the garden. Great position for visiting all the “hot” spots so in all a great place to stay when visiting IOW

A great base to explore the Island

A very nice, well presented bungalow with a lovely view out to sea. Well equipped, comfy and plenty of room for parking. The bungalow is quite high up from the local amenities so you have quite a decent and return climb if your walking so is suited to more agile people. My only concern was the carpet mat in the living room, there to protect the main walk areas of the fitted carpet however it would move and ripple up causing a trip hazard.

Lovely Place to Stay

Sea Grove was the perfect place to stay in Ventnor. The place was only a short walk from the gardens (highly recommend the putting) and around a 10 minute walk to the beach. It was nice and quiet there with plenty of space and parking! Would definitely stay there again when visiting Ventnor. However, they do not provide towels so make sure to bring some as we didn't!

Great Home from Home

This is a beautiful, very well equipped bungalow. The view from the lounge and garden is stunning, we would definatly recommend. Loved it, already booked next year!

Super cottage in great location.

We had a wonderful stay in this superb cottage. Comfortable beds, great living room, well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms and amazing gardens with multiple places to sit. Distant view of the sea, private off road parking, steep walk down into Ventnor (and up again coming back!) - but of course everywhere is, if you can't manage steep don't choose Ventnor! Everything in good working order and spotlessly clean. We loved it. Many thanks.

Enjoyed our stay at Sea Grove

Particularly appreciated: view to sea, location near Botanic Garden, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas, lots of power points, dark skies to view stars (when clouds cleared) Would also suggest: non-slip mat in bath/shower, high-back easy chair - and pls fix wonky dining chair! Overall: had a good stay, thank you, would recommend

Yes, the sea view at Sea Grove is a kinda wonderful. Thank you for your positive comments and constructive feedback. Have just sat on all four dining chairs and could not find the wonky one??. High Back chair - good idea for next season. There has always been a bath mat in situ. It seems to have gone missing? Replacement will be supplied asap. Rgds

Lovely stay in the Isle of Wight

Sea Grove was a lovely comfortable cottage to stay in, it had everything you need in a great location with a great view looking out to sea. There was plenty of space for a grown up family of four and the utility room was large enough to store our four bikes securely, perfect! We had a great holiday and will be back!

Adequate - but not exceptional

Confusing timimgs on the "Cottages" website showed very late check-in and very early check-out times. Towels were not provided and this was also not clear on "Cottages" web-site and surprising for the level of charge for the property as, after many similar stays, we had come to expect towels as a standard. Unable to get the TV to show basic terrestrial channels, but BBC i-player etc,could be accessed via the web-link. The sofas and armchair in the lounge were not very comfortable. Reading books in the evening was difficult as nearly all lighting had intermittant flickering. We only used one bedroom and that bed was comfortable. Plenty of haning and drawer space. The kitchen was well equipped and the garden was the best feature of the property with views over trees to the sea.

It is very disappointing that "Cottages.com" do not clearly inform their customers on their website the Check In/Out times nor towel provision status at Seagrove. We, the owners of Seagrove, have no control over the accuracy of the info that they choose to display --- will pass on your comments to them. We also sometimes struggle with the needlessly complicated controls of modern day TVs. All the usual terrestrial channels are available on the FreeSat TV at Seagrove --- sometimes outgoing guests change the default TV settings to suit themselves but that impacts on incoming guests. If this was reported to us before your departure we would have been able to reset everything for you. You are the only guests who have ever reported a problem with the lounge seating --- regret we will have to go with the majority on that one. The electricity supply to the area around Seagrove was subject to some fluctuations during your stay. That was a very unusual occurrence for Ventnor but beyond our control. We do sincerely hope that these issues did not detract too much from the overall enjoyment of your stay in Ventnor.

Excellent home

This was our first time to the Isle of Wight and we were a family of 6 ages ranging from 23 to 77 and two small dogs. Had an amazing week at Sea Grove the layout of the property was perfect. I know the description says Seaview but what a sea view the property has it is amazing. Loved sitting in the lounge looking out to sea. Excellent location to get out and about and the property had everything f you need, home from home. Can highly recommend we all had a great week and didn’t want to leave.

Sea Grove is a beautiful property., home from home property.

Sea Grove is a beautiful property, it has everything you could want during your stay. The view from the lounge is stunning The only negative we found was the mattresses in both double rooms have dips and are not very comfortable. The bedding is rather tired, spotlessly clean but needs replacing. Saying that, we are returning in August.

Possibly the best holiday ever

What a beautiful house in a beautiful location. The only negative point was a slight problem with the cleanliness. We had to clean the fridge and the living room carpet could do with a good clean.

So pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Seagrove. The fridge should be cleaned between every guest so apologies for that and we will make sure our Cleaners get on top of that in future. The carpet can get grubby towards the end of the season due to the sheer throughput of traffic. This property has been fully booked from Easter to the middle of September and it is very dificult to get a carpet cleaned during the short wiindow between outgoing and incoming guests. Will do our best to rectify that asap.

Adequate Cottage if you are able to walk into Ventnor

The garden view was lovely, the kitchen well equipped but the sofas and dining table rather underwhelming. The bed next to the bathroom was very soft and not flat and the bed linen was awfully nylon. The toilet in the ensuite shower room was left uncleaned. Because of the road closures and lack of nearby bus stops my friend needed to drive even into Ventnor.

Great property in a lovely location.

A lovely homely place to stay with a fantastic view. The property felt like a home from home and was very well equipped. We spent hours just enjoying the view and watching the enchanting lizards. The location was very quiet and conveniently located for the Island's many attractions. We only travelled about 6 miles in any direction and easily filled our week. Ample easy parking. Great outdoor space that was wholly private with spaces to sit in sun or shade all day. We would like to return. A visit to the Ventnor Botanic Gardens is a must. We had read variable views about this in advance of our stay and wondered what state the gardens would be in, we were extremely pleased to find them being well cared for, with new areas of planting undertaken and existing ares renovated and the upper cafe has reopened. In all, a lovely day out.

Great home from home

This is a lovely bungalow, very homely with lots of personal touches. The views from patio are stunning, that is a real sun trap. Ventnor is a good centre place for visiting the island, with Shanklin and Sandown a few miles down the coast. We will be returning later in the year.

Perfect for us as the bedrooms are at either end of the bungalow separated by the lounge and kitchen. Ideal if you are on holiday with early rising grandchildren. Very well equipped and spectacular views.

My home from home

My second visit and I absolutely love Sea Grove and already booked again for next year....it is excellently equipped , good location and excellent view from rear garden and lounge. I scored 4 on cleanliness. After accidently dropping a few things that ended up under sofa, under chest of drawers etc it was found to have not recently been cleaned. A paracetomol was found under the sofa , which was not a problem for us but could be if you had a small child and lots of dust under the chest of drawers. Otherwise in obvious areas it was very clean. Highly recommend Sea grove

Sea Grove: A place to stay

What an excellent bungalow to rent. Everything you would need was there and there was a very comprehensive folder on all you would need to know. It was so clean when we arrived and we soon settled in. The veranda outside was so peaceful to sit there in an evening just watching the boats on the channel. Ventnor is a great place to stay it has so many amenities that you do not have to go anywhere else; however the island is a great place to travel round and see the sights. This was our 5 time on the IOW and due to covid there was a greater amount of visitors which meant that you had to book to get a table in a restaurant. I would like to thank the owners of Sea Grove for providing an excellent property to rent and subject to health we will look forward to renting again

Lovely bungalow in a beautiful location

We had a lovely couple of weeks staying at Sea Grove. The accommodation had everything we needed. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking a variety of dishes. The bungalow caters well for less mobile guests. The children loved the garden terrace especially the two resident lizards living by the outside steps. We loved the sea view and the ability to walk to Steephill cove and Ventnor from the accommodation. Will definitely come back.

Well worth a visit

Sea Grove, the bungalow, is of a high standard. It is very spacious, very well presented, has a well-equipped kitchen, large utility room and the veranda and terrace are just lovely. Everywhere is on a hill in Ventnor but we much enjoyed the walk to town everyday where the shopping is good. We found the sea-front restaurants and the Spyglass Inn welcoming and accommodating for children. Despite the prevailing Covid situation the island felt safe and relaxed. Local residents are particularly friendly and helpful as were our contacts at the Island Holiday Homes. With a car we were well able to visit other towns, many attractions inland and see the absolutely wonderful scenery and landscapes of the Isle of Wight.

Buyer Beware of your security deposit.

An absolutely lovely property and stay. However on return we found ourselves in dispute over the security deposit. This we 100% deny. We pointed out a fault on arrival which was then quoted back to us. In honesty - the holiday let was lovely and our holiday was great - we had very much hoped to rebook next year. A really sad end to a lovely house and stay. Please take photos on arrival and when you leave. As we had no evidence to counter the claim and we lost a third of our deposit - which was really unfair.

We have let SeaGrove for over 10 years. I think this is the first time we have had to deduct some deposit. This was due to the exceptional cleaning + repairs needed after this guest’s visit. Unfortunately not all visitors share our high standards of cleanliness nor respect for other people’s property
