Great place with a great view. We loved the open layout and the big kitchen. Communication with the host was great. The lanai was great for sunsets and coffee in the morning.

Fabulous resort

We really enjoyed our stay! The studio suite had lots of room for the two of us to enjoy Maui for 9 nights. The resort is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool and the beach watching the whales swim by. The studio was equipped with everything we needed to make some meals as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Better than photos!

We had such a great time here. The resort and room are even better than the photos listed. Everything was within walking distance that we needed and the room was perfect for 2 of us. Will definitely be staying here again!

The room and our stay was very nice. Would definitely do it again.The real only down side was the ice maker didn’t work, but they immediately brought a bag of ice for us to put in freezer. Problem remedied!

Great Ocean View Studio

Excellent studio for 2 people. Comfortable bed, clean, and a great view. The beach chairs & umbrella were great for a quick stroll down to the beach. However not a big deal but self parking can be difficult sometimes as the underground parking gets full at the resort. Check in/out process was simple. We would definitely comeback and stay here again!

Honeymoon stay

Overall was a great stay! But definitely had some hiccups along the way… checking in and the room is even better than advertised, but unfortunately we felt like our privacy was invaded a bit on the third night. Around 9:45 pm the cleaning crew came into our room completely unannounced while we were sleeping, and it’s safe to say after that we were not super pleased. Other then that this is a great location!

The resort is amazing! This is our 3rd time there. First time in this unit. It was lacking a few necessities that others have provided in the past. An umbrella and cutting boards. The ones we found in (cutting boards) were by the garbage cans. Which was very weird. Overall bed and unit met our needs. Thank you.

We had a nice stay and the owner was very responsive. But problem issue was that we could not enjoy our balcony much due to the consistent smell of cigarette smoke, even though there is a no smoking policy throughout the complex. We reported this but it never let up.

Fun Stay

After staying at a nearby property for years, we thought we’d give Honua Kai a try-our son stayed here last year. The unit was great, staff very friendly & helpful. The beach is nice. The biggest drawback was the pools-if you don’t stake out your place by 9 am, forget finding a spot for two or more. Also, none of the 4 hot tubs was in top working order. Many were dirty & had only one jet functioning. We rented through Maul Resorts & they were wonderful. We had an issue with our ice maker & they had it fixed very quickly on the same day. Overall it is a nice property, but I think we’ll return to our older one nearby next time.

Great Resort

We love the Honua Kai. Such a great property and location. The studio was nice for the two of us, plenty of space. Bare minimum of supplies in the kitchen. Bed is very comfortable.

Wonderful views and resort!

The responsiveness of the management was also efficient and timely. From arrival to departure everything was taken care of. The only thing I was expecting was a mid-week cleaning of the room, however I didn't request it either so perhaps that's something I'd do differently in the future. Great experience and highly recommended.

Love the upgrades to the decor, especially enjoyed the extras (beach chairs, mini cooler and beach umbrella) in the suite. The welcome gifts are always a lovely touch, but just wish a few extras like spices (besides salt and pepper), aluminum foil and saran wrap and plastic lidded containers (for leftovers and beach picnic transport) were included. Love love the lanai for cocktails during sunset, and early morning coffee. This was my first time staying in the Konea building, and I like the building orientation to the ocean better. It was my husband's first time in Kaanapali and Honua Kai and he was bowled over at the size of the Studio suite. Mahalo for the wonderful stay!

Loved this property! LOVED our SUITE! Just right for us two! Washers and Dryers are TERRIBLE.

50th birthday with husband celebration

Perfect spot for just the 2 of us! Lots of room in the spacious studio unit! Huge kitchen, large living area and great lanai with beautiful views!

Beautiful condo

The kitchen was a bit sparse. Not even a sponge in the sink. Coffee filters, oil, salt and pepper was all the kitchen came with. It did have dish soap, garbage bags and Cascade. But that’s all. It would have been nice to have at least aluminum foil or Saran Wrap for leftovers.

Great location & Great resort!

There are only two minor complaints for our stay. I didn’t like the 5pm check-in. Would’ve liked it to be earlier. Also the TV feed was spotty but not a big deal because we didn’t really watch TV. Other than that, our experience was amazing. We rented the studio with an ocean view. That’s exactly correct. The ocean view was sufficient for us. Great amenities in the studio apartment. Fridge, stove, micro, washer/dryer, coffee, toaster and many other things. The resort grounds were simply amazing. The pools and spas are awesome! Thanks again and would love to come back soon.
