Perfect Beach Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the Stutzman Beach Cottage so much! It really was perfect for our beach vacation. The house was very clean and well-maintained. Short distance to the beach. We’ve already talked about staying here again on our next trip!

Great Place!

The house is very nicely furnished. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Great location and nice neighbors. Loved it here. Best PCB vacation ever! The grandkids loved the backyard when they came to visit. We did not use the golf cart because we like to walk and the beach access is just down the street but the cart is a nice touch. Would stay here again for sure!

Well, we rented the property based off of the fact that it included a golf cart. The rental is more expensive than others but I assumed the golf cart would make up for that. It left us stranded while trying to go out to eat. We were left walking with 3 kids and had to pay out of pocket for a rental golf cart to get us home since my husband is a disabled Veteran & him and the kids couldn’t make the walk back. Alerted the owner and the concern was only the golf cart- not the renters. I assume that I expected to be offered reimbursement for the cost of the cart but it was never even hinted at. There is a keurig but no kcups, there is a dishwasher but you aren’t provided dishwasher detergent, a washer and dryer, but no detergent. There were roaches in the utensil drawers despite the home appearing clean. However, there was poison for roaches so I suppose it is an ongoing issue. Owner says to not lower AC below 74, so even with fans in every room- everyone struggled to sleep because it was sweaty. Maybe a lack of insulation? A dog friendly rental but the neighbors dogs bark at you & your dogs anytime they go out to use the restroom. We could actually overhear them talking about us as if we were an issue, stating, “great, they’re home again” while we let our dogs out. The police made me aware that the cart was NOT legal to be on the street at all. Overall, just a very disappointing experience. I did text the owner about these issues prior to making this review but was left on read.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your vacation did not meet your expectations. Regarding the golf cart, our rental agreement and welcome information clearly state that the cart is not permitted on roads with posted speed limits of 30 mph or higher. It is perfectly legal on our neighborhood side streets, as well as traveling to and from the beach. It is not legal within the city limits of Panama City Beach, but that is over 2 miles from our cottage and can only be reached be traveling on restricted roads. The golf cart was abandoned with depleted batteries almost eight miles from the cottage, so yes, we were concerned about getting it back before it got towed or stolen. When notified, we immediately focused on l determining the cart's location and condition. While we understand the inconvenience this situation caused, the cart's failure was the direct result of it being operated outside the guidelines provided to guests. For clarification, the golf cart is legal for use on approved local roads in accordance with Bay County law. It is not intended for unrestricted travel across town. It is a regular golf cart, not a registered and plated Low Speed Vehicle. As for the home's amenities, we provide a fully stocked kitchen with cookware and utensils, as well as a small starter amount of paper products, but guest have to provide their own consumables. We also maintain a professional pest-control service, which is common in coastal and warm-weather environments. Any concerns reported during a stay are taken seriously and addressed as quickly as possible. We appreciate all guest feedback and continuously work to provide a positive experience for our visitors.

Wonderful vacation in a great cottage!

My family and I could have not been more pleased with this rental. It had more than enough room for my wife, daughter and I and could have fit few more people with if needed. It was VERY clean, nicely decorated and in a great location. The golf cart was a wonderful bonus. A 2 minute drive to the beach and we were in the water. The area was great and we even got to know some of the neighbors who live there. If you are weighing your options with other locations, be assured that you an your family will be very pleased with this house. I will be back again next year for sure.

We Enjoyed Our Stay at Stutsman Family Cottage

This is a nice little house 2 blocks from the Gulf of Mexico white sand beaches. We had a family get together consisting of 4 adults and 4 children and we all fit nicely. The house is clean and tidy. The wifi works great as whenever we were all in everyone seemed to be on their devices. My wife and the kids enjoyed taking the golf cart to the beach. There are beach chairs and toys that came in handy. The Carousel grocery store is less than a mile and Thomas donut shop just another 2 blocks away. One could walk to get all the necessities. We found Buddy's Seafood to be a good place to get fresh seafood and the grill came in handy for cooking the shrimp and fish. More shopping and other attractions are just a short drive away. Nice quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors who made us feel at home. The house is nicely furnished at meal time everyone had a place to sit and our only complaint would be the dollar store silverware. I'm going to miss sitting outdoors in the back soaking up the morning sunshine and warm temps. We really enjoyed our stay and this cottage will be on our list of favorite places to visit.

It was a very nice place to stay. Very close to the beach golf cart helped you get there. It had a very homely feel about it and made you feel welcome.. we spent seven days there with 4 children and 4 adults and our dogs. We really enjoyed staying in this house in this location .The owner is very nice.Thank you for our stay there The Bartleys

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean. It was fully stocked with all we needed. The golf cart was great to get around to and from the beach. The host was easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. We arrived earlier than expected, and we were able to get in early and get situated.

We enjoyed our weekend visit at the cottage. Ms. Arlene was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The cottage is just a short walk or short ride on the golf cart to the beach, and the golf cart was a plus.

Great little beach house

We had a great time on vacation! This place has everything you need. We normally stay in condos, but tried something different this year. We loved the easy beach access. Will definitely be back!

Just right

This is a great little house, nicely redone, and at a great price. Comfortable beds and furniture. Not too far to the beach in a quiet, settled community. Quick and easy trip to the beach with the golf cart. Multiple public beach accesses straight ahead down the street. We would not hesitate to rent this house again. Description and pictures are very good. No surprises. Owner has thought of everything you might need! Laguna Beach is so nice and quiet, away from the busy Panama City Beach area. No high rises or busy streets, just family beach houses and small condo units--but close enough to grociery stores and PCB restaurants.

Beware of cameras and nosey neighbors!

To start the property was nice and in a quite neighborhood and close to the beach. The golf cart was perfect for transporting to and from the beach. The place is clean and as advertised. That's where it went south. On our way down we were emailed the entry code and told of cameras at the premises which is a first for me and not listed in the property details. As a property owner I could understand but as a family on vacation its definitely different not being able to go outside without someone able to see your every move. We usually vacation with my family, different rooms but close by and enjoy the week together. We do most meals together either at restaurants or at our rooms. That has never been an issue until this year when I see a neighbor peeking around the fence. As soon as my family pulls up to the house. Shortly after I recieve a text mentioning a party and threatening charges and everyone not renting must leave the property. If it were a party I'd understand. but when its family coming by for dinner... no music, no alcohol, no smoking., not even loud talking. Simply family with young children coming to eat a meal and go back to their condo all at 9:00 in the evening. To be threatened becomes an issue. A phone call back to the owner and explaining the situation allowed everyone to be able to eat but was told to have everyone out by 10:30. Which was done. Reguardless, I'm on vacation and there is usually no schedule for my family. Simply enjoy the week with each other. So If you want a place where you can enjoy a vacation and not worry about nitpicking and nosey neighbors watching every move....It would be better to pick another spot. If you want privacy you may want another spot. If you dont mind these things it's not a bad place to spend the week.

We love to host families in our cottage. Unfortunately this guest booked for 5 but ended up bringing 12 and then invited a lot more people over for an event . Our cottage will only house a maximum of 8 guests comfortably and safely. There were at least 20 people on the premises at one time. Such a disappointment for us as hosts to have to deal with guests that are less than upfront with their intentions. I hope this guest is able to rent a place big enough for their needs and events. Our security cameras are clearly mentioned in the rental agreement and are trained on outside areas easily visible from the street. Our wonderful neighbors bring us many compliments and repeat guests.

Wonderful!!

The cottage is wonderful and very true to the photos on the listing. It is very spacious and has a super nice full kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and so was the couch and loveseat. The fenced back yard was great for our dogs. The golf cart was an added bonus. The location is close to the beach. I would definitely stay here again and plan to visit again soon! The owners are super friendly and helpful!

Very nice home, good location

We had a nice stay. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Took the golf cart out once, weather wasn’t real cooperative, but it was nice to take to the beach, just a few blocks. We would recommend this property.

Wonderful Vacation!

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful house for the week. It was plenty big for our 6 adults and 1 child. The owners are wonderful. They are easy to communicate with and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The golf cart was a great bonus! We loved using it to travel to the beach with. We look forward to renting this house next year for our vacation!

Great home! Great location!

We stayed for 7 nights. We ran into a couple of problems at the beginning. The owners were prompt to take care of the problems. We are thankful for a nice place to stay! The golf cart saved us steps and was great to get to and from the beach! Great neighborhood and nice beaches that are not busy! House was great there were 7 of us that stayed and we were very comfortable! Pictures don't do justice for this cute 3 bedroom 2 bath house! You will have to stay to understand what I am talking about! Thanks for the great vacation and we look forward to returning in the future!
