Lovely cottage by the coast

A homely property in a quiet location within walking distance of some lovely coastal paths. The host was welcoming and keen to ensure that we had a comfortable stay.

Beautiful accommodation at top location near Lagos

We booked this accommodation as a couple for one week. We liked the open space concept and the quiet environment. Also the host is very nice and easy to communicate with. The coast is just a short walk away.

Great experience in Portugal

We totally enjoyed our stay at Villa Celeiro. Great place with all the things you may need during your stay. Simon and Ana are very helpful and they’re happy to give any kind of advice to make your stay very special. The area and surroundings are perfect to relax and enjoy nature. We will definitely come back in the future.

Incredible patch of paradise in Algarves

Our family stayed at Quinta Falesia for a week and loved it. Simon, Jane and Ana-Maria are lovely hosts and their home is truly unique in terms of its natural beauty and proximity to some of the best beaches in Lagos. If you like feeling off the beaten path and close to nature--while still being within 10 minutes of everything you could need--this is the place for you. Highly, highly recommended.

Delightful country cottage

If you prefer getting away from the crush of tourists and get a feel of rural Portugal, then this rustic little cottage, in a shallow arroyo, on top of the cliffs of the Algarve coast is a great, peaceful place to hang your hat for a while. Ana Maria (the on-site property owner) has lived here for nearly forty years and her graciousness personifies the place she has chosen to call home.

Perfect hidden treasure

We had a wonderful week in the rural cottage. It is located in a fantastic location and everything is there to have a great time. Simon and his family are very warm hosts. We can absolutely recommend this accommodation. What makes the stay completely unique is the incredibly beautiful view and the wonderful natural swimming pond. We would love to come again. Small tip: mosquito nets and/or a fan or air conditioning would make your stay even more pleasant😉 @Simon: many thanks for everything and maybe see you next time.

Simply paradise!

the house is not luxury in terms of facilities, but absolute luxury in terms of location: secluded on a large property near the cliffs with fantastic views of the Atlantic from the terrace. Villa Celeiro is, as the name suggests, a converted barn with old beams, lots of charm and a smart and good arrangement of rooms. open concept of rooms over three levels. We all felt very comfortable and the hospitality and care from the hosts was just perfect. It could not have been better!

A wonderful stay

We spent one week at Villa. We were family with three children. I will say: the stay there was absolutely perfect. We could use the natural pool and had a short walk down to the coast. Apart from that, you were at peace and had all the rest one wants on a holiday. Due to the closeness to Lagos, there never was a problem with shopping or the bakery. The communication with Simon or his siste was straight out perfect. Especially when we had a little mishap communication and problem-solving were on a friendship basis.

I was pinching myself when we arrived. Our little house was private, rustic and full of character.

Location is idyllic. Property was private and interesting. Everything there you need. Bring cds and dvds if you like evening entertainment. We were content with the stunning view, pond full of frogs, dragonflies, swifts flying all around and the sound of the sea and crickets. Absolutely beautiful. Iryna the housekeeper is so lovely and welcoming. Definitely recommend this property to nature lovers who like to get away from it all. Need a car. You can visit a different stunning beach everyday. Thank you Ana (property owner) for all your help with setting things up for us. We absolutely loved our stay.

Best stay for a first family holiday.

Our family of 5 just returned from Villa Celeiro and we were so delighted with our choice. The location is perfect for privacy, nature and quietness but not too far from amenities, beaches and Lagos Centre. The house is located just a few meters from a cliff known as "caminho dos pescadores" - (Fishermen trail) which takes you to 2 wonderful beaches (20 minutes walk to the left and the same to the right). The view from the house and cliff is stunning! Really worth the walk!!! This is a place to connect with nature especially if you are looking for a restful time as it is away from the crazy buzz of the touristic madness. We found it especially good at night time when you desire a quiet place to sleep. The natural swimming pool was definitely a pleasant addition. Simon - our host - and Dona Ana were great and very easy to contact and connect. We also enjoyed Blacky and Dax, the 2 very friendly property dogs. Although they live in the same grounds there was never a moment we felt our privacy was breached. The house was clean and had plenty of space for the family. It also had everything we needed to self-cater and enjoy our stay. Lagos is a fantastic place to visit. Great food, clean, safe and very friendly people. We highly recommend the place and the whole family whished our stay were longer. We are talking about returning with other relatives!

Ein authentisches Landhäus'chen in absolut traumhafter ruhiger Lage. Aber doch nah an Lagos und Luz (10 min by car). Die Einrichtung ist nicht mehr die neueste, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht. Ich liebe diesen rustikalen Stil. Der Naturpool ist ein Highlight. Und von Natur ist man fast komplett umgeben. Simon als Gastgeber kümmert sich großartig, aber wir haben ihn gar nicht gebraucht. Außer zum Quatschen.

Un oasis au paradis !

Nous avons quitté la Vila Falésia le cœur gros, nous voulions profiter encore de ce coin de paradis. Dès notre arrivée, notre hôte Simon, qui parle très bien français nous a accueillit chaleureusement en nous expliquant toutes les commodités de la Vila. La Vila est jolie, authentique et propre. La terrasse avec vue sur le jardin et l’océan est mon coup de cœur tandis que mes 3 enfants se sont régalés de la bonne eau fraîche et propre de la piscine naturelle. C’est un logis parfait en tant de canicule car le soir le vent se lève et rafraîchit toute la Vila ! Oui, il y a des moustiques qui nous taquinaient la nuit mais c’est la réalité de la campagne en Algarve ! Simon est présent et attentionné, merci encore pour tout !

Havre de paix et de lumière

Nous avons passé une semaine paisible en famille (2adultes et 3 enfants de 7 à 12 ans) dans la charmante villa Celeiro. Le site est facilement accessible, mais très au calme, à proximité du sentier des falaises, accessible à pied en quelques minutes. Le calme est absolu, à déguster au lever et coucher du soleil sur la terrasse. Les enfants ont bien profité de la piscine naturelle, très bien entrenue. La maison est bien agencee, fraîche, fonctionnelle, bien équipée. Le jardin est luxuriant et les différentes parties de la propriété bien espacées. À 20-40 minutes les plages sont intimes et tres préservées, mais à 5 minutes en voiture celle de Lagos est agréable et propre, plus fréquentée. Merci encore à Simon pour son chaleureux accueil multilingue!!

Superbe séjour

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine dans cette maison. Simon est un hôte adorable, la maison est très agréable, propre et dispose de tout ce dont nous aurions pu avoir besoin. Le jardin est superbe. L’emplacement est parfait pour découvrir le sud du Portugal.

Wunderschöne und ruhige Lage

Wir wohnten in der Villa Celeiro. Das Haus ist schon einige Jahre alt, hat enorm viel Charme und Potential, ist aber stark renovierungsbedürftig. (Erneuerung Fenster, Lampen, Deko, Matratzen!!, Küche, die Stores vor den Wandschränken, Wandfarbe) Bei Anreise war es im Haus sehr kalt und feucht und es hat einige Zeit gedauert, bis es warm war. Es war aber auch ein außergewöhnlicher kalter und nasser März an der Algarve. Das Haus wird mit Elektroöfen und einem Kamin (Holz selbst kaufen) geheizt. Von der Terrasse hat man eine wunderbare Aussicht in die wunderschöne, unverbaute Landschaft und dem wunderschönen Garten mit tollen Sukkulenten, Palmen und Mandelbäumen. Der Schwimmteich mit Sitzbänken sowie die dazugehörige Liegewiese ist wunderschön. Simon ist sehr freundlich und hat uns alles gut erklärt. Zum Klippenwanderweg sind es nur ca. 200 m. Bis Lagos 3,5 km. Ein Auto ist unbedingt notwendig. Insgesamt ein schöner Urlaub, besonders wegen der Ruhe. Der Rest ist verbesserungswürdig, aber wir sind sicher, dass wird bald erledigt!
