Great location. clean and very comfortable for 6 adults. check in was fine, but they forgot to collect a fee which then required a lot of back and forth. Would stay again; the location and cleanliness were great.

We enjoyed our stay and the experience with the host. The location was very good and the apartment was clean and spacious for 3 couples. The beds were good and the decor was fine. The only thing that could have been better is the size of the showers, but they were fine. Additional clarity on what to do with the trash might have been helpful, but this is a very minor thing. All in all, we very much enjoyed the stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

The pictures in the listing do not match the current condition! The en suite bathroom for example; in the picture there are doors on the shower. In actuality there is a mildewed curtain. The kitchen sink is loose in the countertop. The floor tile is cracked, there are footprints on the wall in the living room and if you use the air conditioning, it drips into the en-suite bedroom and you are required to empty the bucket on the balcony that collects the condensation. The listing company (Amore) was very easy to work with in setting up the rental and in scheduling transportation to and from Naples but the property was in awful condition.

Dear Jason, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that the condition of the property did not meet your expectations. The listing photographs accurately represented the property when they were taken; however, we acknowledge that some fixtures may have since been changed. Nevertheless, the maintenance issues you described are not consistent with the standards we expect from the properties we manage. Unfortunately, these concerns were not reported to us during your stay. Had we been informed, our local team would have intervened promptly to inspect the air-conditioning system, secure the kitchen sink and address the cleaning and maintenance issues. We always encourage guests to contact us immediately, as we are available throughout their stay and genuinely want the opportunity to resolve any problem. Following your comments, we have requested a complete inspection of the property and have shared every point with the owner so that the necessary corrective work can be carried out. We will also review the listing photographs and information to ensure that they accurately reflect the property’s current configuration. We appreciate your kind words regarding our booking assistance and transportation arrangements, and we sincerely regret that the accommodation itself did not provide the experience you expected. Your feedback is being taken seriously and will help us prevent similar situations in the future. Kind regards, The Amore Rentals Team

We enjoyed Sorrento. The apartment was clean, air conditioned, and in a great location. It did fit our group of eight adults, but it was tight. The apartment walls are thin. The windows are single pane so it is noisy from the street and train noises. We made management aware of the sewer smell coming from the sink in the master bathroom. Although they said they would let maintenance know about the problem, they never got back to me or offered any resolution. Also, be aware that they ask for cash only for taxes and cleaning fees. I’m assuming this is all normal for Sorrento??

Beautiful off season stay in Sorrento

Wonderful stay in this apartment. The check-in was easy. Kitchen was fully equipped. View was exactly as promised. On the 4th floor, with an elevator, so made taking the baby up and down stairs everyday easy. Right on the edge of town, so quiet with only a couple block walk right into the heart of town.

The apartment was in a good location I thought. We could walk to train station and to restaurants along water with a view to have our evening wine. The only thing I did not care for was —we had to take garbage out on respective day—every day was a different collection—then we did not have a trash bag for that particular kind(like paper and plastic). We would get charged if we didn’t do it right. Other than that it was great!

Sorrento

Property is great location to base your visit to Pompeii, Amalfi coast and Capri. It is short walk to train station, port for Capri ferry rides and near grocery store, restaurants and travel agents if you need help with planning day trips. You can see the Mediterranean Sea from the balcony but definitely recommend walking down to overlooks for sunset. It worked well for our family of 5 adults. Amore office is half a block from unit so it was simple walk to property after stopping into their office to check in having arrived from train station. You can be woken by the train in the morning once they start running but anytime you stay in urban areas, there’s always city noise like construction material delivery trucks (our Rome VRBO) and people shouting to each other in the street at early hours (Florence VRBO). Enjoy the limoncello many restaurants brought out without cost after dinner.

Central apartment in Sorrento

This apartment is ideally placed for exploring Sorrento and is in a safe, secure building. I’m not sure the last time someone from Amore rentals checked on this property though as it could do with some TLC. This apartment sleeps 7 but the kitchen is poorly equipped for this number of people. There were only 3 wine glasses and 4 small tumblers in the way of glassware for all drinks and despite asking for more, these never arrived. The toaster’s connection did not work and the coffee machine took over an hour to make a couple of cups. The ironing board was not fit for purpose and two of the bedrooms did not have a mirror in them which is not ideal for anyone getting ready to go out.The decor is very sparse and it is obvious that pictures or wall art have been removed. There were broken floor tiles in the living area too. All 3 bedrooms are a good size with king size beds with air conditioning throughout which was very welcomed. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Sorrento and I am sure with a bit of attention to detail, this apartment would be more in keeping with the photographs in the listing.
