We are very sorry that you found the bathroom in need of attention. It is indeed on our Autumn refurb programme. We are aware that we have experienced a very busy period and we look forward to refreshing this area very soon. Sincere apologies also, for the missing items from the kitchen. There should be ample flat baking sheets and small saucepans and we have already taken steps to remedy this. We do keep spares and would have happily supplied these had we known. We are indeed quietly tucked away in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and proudly announce this on the ‘About Us’ page on our website. October is a seasonally wet month and so the lanes leading to our property would be naturally prone to becoming muddy due to the farming community in which we are fortunate enough to be located. Whilst we value all feedback, we have never had any negative feedback regarding the bedrooms being on the ground floor. We could hear the noise late at night from your parties while in the farm house, so understand that it would disturbed some members of your group, if they were trying to sleep in the same building. The property listing clearly states that the farm has a ‘No Smoking’ policy. Our welcome notes give information about where you can smoke away from the property. As per our discussion when you arrived, you knew when booking that it was a No Smoking property but you had mistakenly assumed we wouldn’t mind you smoking in the grounds!”

Many thanks for writing a review and we are glad you enjoyed yourselves. We are already working on enlarging the garden and making it dog proof but it is good to know that it will make the barn more comfortable.
