Wonderful Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Can't beat the location. Two minute drive to Coligny plaza and steps to the beach! The condo was super roomy. Definitely could use sprucing up in spots (bathrooms, carpet especially) but it was comfortable for us. The place seemed to be missing its iron and the rental company brought us a new one. They were very responsive to our questions and inquiries.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was very run down. You could tell whoever owns it either does not care or lives very far away. Utilities were very old and in general everything was extremely worn down.

Condo 539 was very nice. Would stay here again.

Great spot!

We had a great stay and will definitely return. We had a couple of issues upon arrival and they were fixed promptly. The condo is spacious and had everything we needed for the week. It could use a little updating and the WiFi was spotty, but other than that we loved it! Great location, great pool, and great access to the beach!

Family Fun

We absolutely love this location. It is well maintained, quiet, and close to restaurants and shopping. We spent our week enjoying the beautiful view from the balcony, swimming, and playing on the beach. We have been coming to HH for over 12 years and this location is by far our favorite.

Fabulous ocean views

We usually stay in Palmetto Dunes when we visit Hilton Head, but 539 Shorewood is our new favorite! The views from the balcony are breathtaking! The unit had absolutely everything you could need to enjoy your stay. It was extremely convenient to shopping, restaurants and entertainment in Coligney Beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location

We loved the beach and pool! Mattresses need to be replaced-it was very hard to sleep on such worn mattresses, especially for this price point. Black out shades in the bedrooms (or at least some curtains) would be very welcome. Property was clean and appliances worked well.

WONDERFUL LOCATION

My brother and I had a great time. Very comfortable with 3 TV's. I gave it 4 stars only because the master bath shower door did not slide very well. It just needs an adjustment. Overall wonderful beach place.

Perfect Getaway

The condo was very lovely and comfortable. Great view of the ocean. We enjoyed watching Ian not come to HH. Nice pool Great area with a lot of excellent restaurants. We even got in a few pickle ball sessions on the public court. We are sad to head north and leave summer. behind

Great location

We love staying in this complex because it’s close to everything and the beach is pretty quiet in the off season. This unit was great! We really enjoyed the view from the living room/ patio. There were just a few things that we did not like (I.e., the master bathroom floor was always wet, the towels were still wet when we checked in, no kitchen towels.) other than those small things we really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent villa - couple items need attention

Enjoyed our long weekend at the villa. Excellent location. Entire property is very nice. Awesome view of pool and ocean from villa balcony. Villa was also very quiet. Attention needed in villa: 1) Blinds in the bedrooms need to be replaced - partially broken and neither one closes completely. 2) Strongly suggest you upgrade the mattresses and pillows. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is wifi is spotty and no community grills (this is my fault for not confirming - we like to grill and assumed there would be community grills as most properties have). Would stay again and plan meals accordingly.

Great location, view, and visit!

This top floor property had a beautiful view of the pool and beach. Lots of windows and natural light in the living area and kitchen. We loved the pool and easy access to the beach for the kids. It was also fun to be able to walk to the cologny plaza area. Our one interaction with management was good - we needed an extra car parking pass and they placed it in the unit for us. The property was clean but definitely needs some improvements in the bathrooms. Bathroom walls and outlets and air vents need to be wiped down to remove dust and grime. Shower door doesn’t close and towel bar is drooping. I agree with other reviewers that the mattresses need to be replaced. Also we were missing that hair dryer like the other reviewer. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again with a few little updates.

Pick another condo in Shorewood

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th year to stay in Shorewood Villas and we love the location and the pool. We used Sea Turtle Getaways previously and had a great experience, but this time our condo was extremely dirty. We will not be using Sea Turtle Getaways again. The condo was very dirty, the WIFI did not work very well, the kitchen was not very well stocked, and the master bedroom door did not close correctly. We will not stay in this unit again and I do not recommend this unit to anyone.

Terrible experience

It states it sleeps six but they only give you four pillows and if you want any other linens, you have to pay $25. It’s very bizarre because they don’t even give you enough pillows or linens to sleep six. The closet door kept falling off. The floor was sticky in the kitchen, and there was something spilt in the refrigerator. The major problem was we were only there for one night, not even 24 hours because a hurricane came in. They didn’t want to refund my money and they only gave me a quarter of it back but they did not supply or have any type of hurricane provisions. There was nowhere to park your car to be elevated so it would’ve flooded. The whole experience dealing with this company was not worth it when you can stay 1 million different places.

A nice stay, but could have been better.

There are many nice things to say about this stay, but also some negative. All of which evened out to a slightly below average review. First, this is not ocean view, it is about third row and an obstructed view. The picture you are seeing is standing on the balcony and looking to the North East. If you are in the apartment, and look out onto the balcony, you see another building. We spend a lot of time at other beaches, and this property would normally be identified as third row obstructed view. You are also far enough away from the beach that the ocean sounds are muted. A passing car in the lot, or the active construction on the property obscures the sounds of the ocean. The apartment was quaint. Very nice for the four of us; but it was not ready for the season. The internet did not work the whole visit, the cable had to be reset on arrival, and partially worked in the evenings. There were lights out, and other repair problems that needed to be addressed. The management company came out and fixed some, but not all of the problems. The apartment is very nicely equipped. Stacked small washer and dryer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, ice maker. All working well. Heat and AC works well too. Not over the top - definitely you feel like you are at a beach condo - if everything was working it would have been really nice. The property is older, but pleasant. There was a lot of construction going on with repair from the hurricane still ongoing. The heated pool was not working properly, so it was very cold. The hot tub was nice, and the people there are very pleasant. Got some good pointers on where to go for dinner. The complex is in a great location. Close enough to the action for a short walk, but far enough away so that the throngs of visitors and vacation goers are not everywhere. Several of the security features of the complex, for example the locking gates to the beach, were non-functional and open. The drinking water in Hilton Head tastes horrid - bring or buy plenty of bottled water. Also, the apartment does not have the first round of coffee for incoming renters. We left some for the people coming in behind us. We spoke to the management company twice during the stay about the problems - like I said, some got fixed, some did not. Complex under construction and repair. I was told we'd get a call from a manager on the way out of town about our stay - that never happened.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was not clean. There was mold in the bathtub, the shower door would not close tightly. The shower bar was bent. the master bedroom toilet was not clean. There were knobs missing, a broken mirror, the HVAC vents were disgusting. This unit hasn't been maintained well. The outside landscaping was well maintained. The pool was good but the hot tub was constantly used by children under 12 yrs old which was against the property rules, which was annoying. The location was excellent. Having a washer, dryer and dishwasher was great.

Elevator not functional

Very nice property and super location. Clean and well maintained. The elevator stopped working and for two days we had to walk up and down six flights of stairs. Five floors plus the elevator access on the ground floor. We called Sea Turtle getaways and they were brusque and non attentive. We would like a partial refund.

539 shorewood

The location was excellent great view everything in walking distance. Service was good we had an issue with the garbage disposal they fixed it promptly. Only complaint is the bathrooms were dirty we recleaned them ourselves and the ceiling had mildew on it. The master bedroom smelled like smoke as well.
