Island View Spa Cottage is not just accommodation, it is an experience to be treasured. The cottage has so much character and the view is amazing. We were sorry we hadn’t booked it for more time. It was one of our 2 top rated stays in Tas.

Amazing views

Always a pleasure to stay in the beautiful cottage overlooking the bay. All you need for comfort whilst you watch the day unfold.

Peaceful Haven

A peaceful quiet retreat. Lovely interior, very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely sharing the nights with kookaburras and pademelons.

Lovely cottage, great views.

The views, and sunsets, from this cottage are just awesome. Even waking up in the morning mist was special. The cottage itself was just perfect, cosy and comfortable. All the little extras (like the breakast supplies and bubble bath) made us feel really welcome.

Peaceful remote cabin with a million dollar view

Really unique cabin, up a long driveway to a commading view. Well stocked, with a wood stove for heat. Pademeons and Kookaburras galore

Such a beautiful place

We came from Germany to spend some weeks in Tassie. We are so happy that we found that lovely cottage. It is perfect equiped and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. We loved to spend the evenings with some pademelons outside and enjoyed the spa. Thanks for sharing this place with others. We Highlights recommend this cottage.

A convenient location

From the moment we walked through the door we felt relaxed. Watching the changing landscape as we sat outside was beautiful as was hearing the variety of birdlife. After a day of exploring the Tarkine it was wonderful to soak in the outdoor spa bath. Whilst being so close to the township of Smithton and conveniently located to the TArkine drive, Island View Spa Cottage really felt like you were totally away from civilisation. Bliss!

Fantastic Little Cottage with 10/10 views

On our arrival to Island View Spa Cottage, Michael had amazingly prepared the cottage with a stocked fridge and was cozy warm with the slow combustion fireplace burning. We found the cottage very relaxing and the views of Duck Bay were amazing, always in a state of change with the sky and tides. The cottage is set up for a chilled/laid back stay, coming from Melbourne, it provided an opportunity to disconnect and reconnect to what's important in life. We enjoyed the quietness, listening to the wind through the large eucalyptus trees on the property or the hearing the finches, kookaburras and eagles. Overall, a fantastic week, such a great opportunity to relax and discover the NW of Tasmania.

Quiet spot with great views

The peace and quiet, just the bird song, is wonderful. We loved the spa bath and sitting out on the verandah with the stove when the weather was up to it. Whilst most of the accommodation is fine we found the kitchen facilities a bit tired.

Better than the photos

The photos of the view do not show the detail of what you can see. it is better than the photos. Absolutely amazing! The house is very clean, comfortable and has lots of personality. This is our second time and we will be back!!

Lovely Cottage

We loved our stay at this lovely little cottage. The view was amazing and the cottage was cosy and comfortable. The breakfast goodies were a thoughtful touch as was the fire set ready to go. We really enjoyed watching the little blue wren and his partner and being able to bring our dog was great.

We enjoyed our short stay

The property was quiet and private with great views from the deck. We enjoyed the spa bath and the log stove on the deck, very relaxing.

Amazing view

Our family of five comfortably fit into this charming cottage with an amazing view. The kids loved the bubble bath and the spa bath! The loungeroom was small and the cottage is starting to show its age. However, we had a great time and would come back again.

Great Views

Loved our stay. Relaxed spot to chill. Great drive down to Marrawah and back up through the rain forest saw tassie devil, beaches wonderful, stanley gorgeous too. Wild weather overnight, enjoyed the fire, our dog enjoyed running on the beaches. Warm and generous hosts everything provided plus.

My 3rd visit and it's better than the last! Thank you Grace and Michael for allowing us to share this gem. I cannot say one bad thing, the view, wildlife, privacy, accommodation all 5 star! Will see you next year!
