This location was amazing perfect for a family holiday

What I loved was the photos were accurate and location only about 10 minutes to Penneshaw. Day trips to all the great spots of KI. Beach great for young children with Crystal clear waters.

Relaxing stay by the beach

We had a lovely stay, the house was neat and tidy and the location was great. The only negatives were the pillows were very uncomfortable and more bath mats are required as they get quite wet.

Hi Sandy, thank you for your review. I am very happy you enjoyed your stay. With regard the pillows as there are 16 pillows available for use we rarely have issues, however I will inspect them and replace any that need an upgrade. Thanks for the heads up on the bath mats, as you were a large group I will make sure there are additional mats ordered in future with similar numbers of guests.

Perfect for relaxing and enjoying beachfront facilities. Excellent proximity to Penneshaw and American River. Everything needed to have a comfortable stay. Hosts extremely helpful

Family getogether .

Delighted with everything Very well equipped kitchen catering for 5 plus local family members each day . Appreciated the quality of everything , the pantry items , other essentials. Would love to stay longer next time .

Island Beach paradise

Perfect location on Island Beach, with stunning views and no road between the house and the beach. Great to have use of the rowboat and able to catch lots of fish! Everything you need for a magic holiday. Julie was an incredible communicator and just delightful to liaise with.

We had a fabulous stay at Beachcomber!

Beachcomber is in a stunning location and the house is well equipped with everything we needed to make ourselves feel at home. It was plenty big enough for our 2 families. Our boys (6 years old) had fun exploring the garden and the beach. And us adults enjoyed sitting on the balcony with our sun downers. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we had booked in for longer.

Beachcomber really does lend itself to families, the house has pretty much everything you need so making for a very relaxing stay. I find sitting on the deck as the sun turns golden a great spot to enjoy.

Island beach paradise

We had a wonderful stay at Beachcomber. Fiona and Brooke were fantastic to deal with, and gave us lots of ideas about how to spend our time… if we could drag ourselves away from the gorgeous deck with its views across the bay!! The house was just as pictured, extremely clean and modern. Every need was catered for. It was a 50 metre walk to the beach and a great location for the Penneshaw ferry, dining in the evenings, and accessing the rest of the island. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

glorious even in iffy weather

We loved this house. It was a little difficult to find, especially as we came in at night but that was the only problem we had. The house was comfortable and clean. We had seating for all 10 of us [which isn't always the case in houses which sleep 10]. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment so we could cook for and serve 10 people. When we came back chilly and tired from our adventures the woodstove provided us with friendly warmth and a cozy feeling. Just fabulous all the way around.

A wonderful beach house for a family vacation

We had a wonderful week in this beach house as a family. Plenty of room for our party of 6 adults and 3 kids. The property was clean and well presented. The kitchen was well appointed and met our needs perfectly. We loved the proximity to the beach and the surf skis provided were well used. Great location!

Great Location

Great location right near Island Beach. Property had all facilities that we needed and weather was good so able to have several nice meals on the outside deck overlooking the ocean.

Loved every minute!

Island bliss

Great house for our group. Location and views from the outdoor deck are fantastic with an easy walk down to the beach. Check-in App is a great innovation and simple to use. We’ll be back!

Great Island Beach Getaway

From walking in to leaving we could not have been more pleased with the presentation layout and facilities of the property. We especially enjoyed the North facing deck and the pot belly fire in the lounge, which was cosy to sit around of an evening. Would definitely return!

Beautiful!

What a beautiful house and location! Stunning sea views from the main bedrooms. Lovely hosts - Fiona and Brooke (and Alfie, the fluffy bear dog!). Treats, including complimentary K.I. wine! Pot pelly stove. Winter. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Island Beach

We had a very pleasant three nights there in March. The house was perfect with a very pleasant view of the beach. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I'm sorry for the delay in my comment but could not find a way to feed back to Fiona and thank her for a very enjoyable and peaceful stay in her house. Could you pass this on to her as we missed her as we had to leave to catch the ferry. Best regards, John &Sue McLean.
