Fantastic stay, beautiful home, so peaceful, breakfast on the decking with some wallaby’s - surreal. Great hosts, communication, local hot spot tips and information provided. Island Beach is a beautiful spot and White Sands is a great stay to enjoy it while being not too far away from local eateries and tour places.

White Sands was a lovely big house for a group

White Sands was in a beautiful location at Island Beach on KI. The house had all our requirements met and Kevin was good to deal with.

Fantastic house and location

Had a great stay at Island Beach. The house was fantastic and had everything you could need. The deck was an outstanding feauture. Kevin was great to communicate with, highly recommended.

White Sands at Easter

We were a family group with multiple adults and a 1 year old. The house was great, extremely well equipped. Our wonderful host Kevin provided a cot and high chair. The house is really good. The veranda in particular is wonderful with great views. We would love to stay there again. Kevin was a great host and could not have been more helpful.

Our stay

What a beautiful home! We needed nothing, everything you can think of was supplied. It has a wonderful outlook, close to the beach and plenty of wildlife. It was lovely and quiet for those peaceful afternoons on the deck. The hosts kept in contact to see that everything was ok. I would highly recommend this destination. Thank you Kevin

Escaping suburbia

We were able to disconnect from our daily habits, yet still enjoyed the delights of information technology. We were in the wilderness yet with all the creature comforts. A wonderful step off the daily grind and life hustle.

Slice of Paradise

We had such a great time! Kevin was an excellent host and provided heaps of information upfront. The house is nicely laid out and can easily have more than the 4 adults that were in our family. The kitchen worked well for meals in and the rooms were nice - great to have multiple bathrooms! We loved the beach, it's shallow and the water is warm and beautiful, basically out the front door. Bonus was the expansive deck where we were able to have sun and shade plus watched the planet parade.Would definitely recommend!

Relax and unwind in superior accommodation

House very well equipped with aircon & fly screens at every window. Very spacious. The property title is slightly misleading as you cannot see the beach at all from the house and access to the beach is not easy as the track, although a boardwalk, is very narrow and somewhat overgrown with bushes. The beach was beautiful and we would have walked there more often if access had been easier.

Elayne sorry you felt mislead by our description. The house has a 180 degree views of the water of island beach. The sand is obscured by the sand dunes which you walk through to get to the beach. Kangaroo island council are very strict on not clearing the sand dunes to reduce erosion and the migration of sand. There is a tractor and boat access to the beach just at the end of our street. This is a slightly longer walk but very easy. Sue and Kevin

lovely home and nice location but the maintenance and cleanliness of the property not up to standard with cob webs and dust and a broken window. With a bit of upkeep would be 5 star

Absolutely outstanding stay on Kangaroo Island. The home was spotless, beautifully renovated and equipped with modern, high‑quality facilities. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the ambience was relaxed and welcoming, and the heating and cooling made the house perfect in all conditions. There are multiple showers, including one of the best showers I’ve ever experienced.The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, the BBQ was great, and the house is spacious with plenty of room to relax. The large deck was a standout — ideal for watching wallabies, enjoying the sea views and taking in the amazing star-filled night skies. A stunning beach is just a short walk away.The kids absolutely loved it. They made use of the kayaks provided, played table tennis and billiards, watched movies, swam at the beach and went fishing — there was never a dull moment.The host was excellent: easily contactable, a great communicator, and very generous with local advice, sharing fantastic tips on Kangaroo Island activities and restaurants that really enhanced our stay.While Kangaroo Island involves some driving, this place is very well located and made it easy to explore the island. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this property.

White Sands Island Beach Review

We enjoyed our stay at White Sands and liked the view. The facilities were good but feedback on a few things that could be improved: The dishwasher was small and didn't clean the dishes very well. The beds were not as versatile as we would like as most were queen and could not be separated. The BBQ was still quite dirty. We could not find the remote for the TV in the front games room and could not get the TV to work at all. It was quite cold at night and the blankets were a bit thin or not enough of them. But these were relatively minor issues as we enjoyed most things like the big deck, the cosy lounge area and dining area. Thanks for the stay.

Glad you enjoyed our huge deck and views, they really are fabulous. The beds are all queen sized as per our description . They are not hotel beds that can be divided. The property has underfloor heating, two reverse cycle air conditioners and electric blankets on the beds. We supply beautifully soft heavy velour blankets for extra warmth, which adds a little extra luxury through the cooler months. We personally cleaned before your arrival and spring cleaned the house to prepare for the busy summer season. All three televisions were checked and operational and remotes were with all tv's. Very comfortable and close to beach

House has very comfortable rooms with 2 ensuites and one room with shower. Multiple living areas and great deck. We found the provision of beach equipment to be very handy as well. Very quiet and relaxing stay

Shhhhh don’t tell anyone else about this treasure!

Love this property. This was our second visit and even better (and longer!) than the first. Kevin was always easy to communicate with and very easy going. White Sands and Kangaroo Island in general is my happy place.

Great location and facilities.

Rental process was smooth. The property is well located and clean with ample room for all 8 of us. Nice hot water for cold weather. Great views to look at after a hard day touring. Excellent communication by owners at all times.

Pre Christmas KI family getaway!

A lovely well located, well maintained property only a short walk to the beautiful child friendly Island beach . Delightful and very spacious outdoor deck area., with separate games room .Great wifi and amenities. Would certainly stay here again! Thanks also to the owners who were extremely approachable and helpful.

Large comfortable home. Plenty of entertainment available. Bedrooms vary significantly in size and bathroom access. A little remote - but stunning beach nearby. Almost nightly visits from kangaroos.
