Keryn and her family were excellent guests. I would recommend them to any other hosts. They enjoyed their trip to Cygnet where they went to Lovett's for a delicious lunch. A beautiful photo of our big oak tree and the view towards Bruny Island, topped with a magnificent rainbow was greatly appreciated.

Lynne was a perfect guest. She rang to say she had settled in. She was interested in the history. I would welcome her back for a return visit.

Sorry for the faff (that's a wor us Aussies rarely hear but I like it and will use it) We are staying at the house and did a bit of research The dishwasher has a child lock system. To turn the dishwasher on there is a small button at the top of the door On / Off button Push that first to set up the font panel All fine. Apology to you. Unfortunately, we have received a bad review for Wavestation. However, this is only our second bad review, the last being about fifteen years ago when we had just started out. In the meantime, we have received dozens of wonderful and quite extraordinary reviews telling us that our many (often repeat) guests have enjoyed the most beautiful water views from our very special century old heritage farmhouse (sadly, very rare in Southern Tasmania because of the 1967 bushfires), all situated in a very pleasant and spacious rural setting, home to Tasmanian native birds and other wildlife. There are some matters we are looking into, like the couches which are old and a little threadbare in parts, but we have been reluctant to replace them as they are far more comfortable and well-made than most modern-day alternatives. The house has a heat pump for transitional heating which heats the dining area very well, but very cold wintery days require the Tasmanian-made wood heater which is extremely efficient. There are literally tons of dry firewood in the woodshed. Usually there are barrow loads on the side veranda. Unfortunately, due to the unusual very quick changeover this was not the case and other things like the wet floor may not have been up to the usual standard.

Many thanks for staying at our little piece of paradise. We love to share it with lovely guests like your little group.

I am disappointed that you did not appreciate the unique experience available at our property. You make some valid points. Some furniture has been replaced which we regard as more suitable. There is some wear and tear and we will need to address this. We have recently recovered the very special irreplaceable old outdoor chairs in the gazebo. I will update the photographs. We have had the worst drought in Tasmania for decades so unfortunately some things have died. Fortunately, many of the large trees such as the magnificent oak tree in the front lawn have survived. The gum forest provides a haven for small native animals and birds. One night I went out with my torch and saw an Eastern Barred Bandicoot which is an endangered specie in mainland Australia. One visitor noted in the visitors’ book a large number of birds sighted in the garden. The view of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel is superb. A guest reported a sighting of a school of Minkey whales. Gardens are forever changing and we aim to provide a nice balance of European plantings and native flora. Roses are not always at their peak.
