Very glad you enjoyed your stay. We can't always accommodate all requests, but we try. Cleaning and property manager are great, as is the Maui Sunset staff.

Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate the candor, it helps us improve our condo and the guests' experience. I'm glad the sun comes up on the other side, but the point about black-out curtains is still very valid. I am looking into newer AC units. And yes, when something is other than perfect, we will do our best to resolve it in a timely manner and apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you so much for the thorough review Sherilyn. You helped others understand what is offered at the Maui Sunset. I agree the coffee table is heavy, some would say solid, some would say hard to move, like you did. I checked the bathrooms and while I agree they are not "modern", all things work and they are maintained. I checked yesterday and did not notice a mildew odor. I will mention this to house cleaning and the owners. I do know we leave the door closed to the hall bathroom before guests arrive, perhaps we should leave it open to allow air flow while it is unused? The office is open 9-5 7 days a week, so yes, after hours check-ins need to go to the office when next open to register and get pool keys. Again, we really appreciate your review - very helpful! Thanks for the thorough review. I really appreciate, as I'm sure prospective guests do as well. I agree about the great grounds, and the beach in front of the resort seems to be a sunset magnet. I bought the condo in 2016 and although I have not replaced everything, I'd like to clarify what is new and what isn't. The bedroom furniture is all new. The vanity and shower are original. I've heard the complaint about the curtains before and have them scheduled to be replaced. The order took longer to arrive, so they will be replaced with better, privacy ones in August. The living room couch, chair and entertainment table are new, the dining table and chairs and the other two cabinets are not. The bar stools are new. The fridge, and dishwasher are new and the washer/dryer were replaced in 2018. The stove, microwave and cabinets and counter top are not new. They are in good shape and all works well. The carpet is in great shape, although not a popular color - but blue seems to be coming back. The lanai furniture was restored in 2018 too. I agree with much that you say - some day I will get a split AC system, but they're expensive. I personally find the sofa sleeper quite comfortable. I slept on it in June. As a kid, when we came to Maui, I always had to sleep on sofa sleepers and they was very uncomfortable. I bought this one specifically because it had a thicker mattress. A pillow top cannot be put on it, it has to be closed with just sheets or the mechanism will get bent. I slept on it in June and found it very comfortable, although I sure wish I had those new curtains. Thanks again for your business and your awesome review.
