We had a fantastic stay over Easter. The house was better than described and had everything we could possibly need. Great location close to the beach and walks, we'd definitely stay again.

Perfect for our Easter break

We had a lovely stay over the Easter weekend. Everything was clean and well appointed. Great location, close to the beach and local cafe.

Great location

If you like being a short walk from the water then you can’t beat this location. Property was also well equipped with all that you need.

Pearl Beach magic

A week when life slowed down enormously and joy was all around. Beautiful clean beach with wonderful morning walks and longer walk to Patonga.

Perfect location

We absolutely love staying in Pearl Beach and this property is in a great street and the perfect distance to walk directly to the beach. We stayed as a family of 5 and were very comfortable. The rooms are all large and the house was very clean and tidy. The early check in and late check out was a fantastic added bonus and we loved the extra little touches Amanda had set up for our fur baby.

Pearl beach

This property is in a quiet location just a short 400 metre flat walk to the beach where there is a clean public toilet, café and a restaurant. Large rooms, wide hallway and high ceilings gives a luxurious airy feeling. Well-appointed apartment with all you need for a relaxing holiday. Well stocked kitchen with appliances, utensils and consumables such as gladwrap and garbage bags. Outside is a large shaded timber deck with table and chairs and an outside shower to wash the sand off in a leafy garden setting. A ten-minute drive back to Umina for supermarkets and clubs and pubs for a dinner out.

A Peaceful Gem

Quite and Easy

The property is in a quiet location. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. A great outlook from a comfortable deck with lots of birds. It is a very easy walk to the lovely beach.

Great location, close to the beach

Clean, functional property, easy walk to the beach. Great communication with the owners. A great place to stay with kids and dogs. Beach has a large dog friendly section. Local cafe does a delicious hamburger!

Peaceful summer getaway

Just perfect size and facilities for our family of four. Location was excellent short 5 min walk to the beach. Easy drive to shops and other beaches at Umina and Ettalong. Great attention to detail at the property, very clean and excellent communication.

A peaceful break from the busy world

This is a comfortable, open plan house with a covered deck perfect for enjoying a cuppa whilst watching the birds visit the banksia tree. We had everything we needed. With the beach a comfortable walk for kids, small surf and a pool, we were all set. I highly recommend Banksia Cottage

Excellent property with all what you need for a pleasant stay, location couldn't be better!

Lovely beach cottage a short stroll to the beach

We had a lovely stay in a Pearl Beach for our 4 month olds first holiday. The fact this property had a cot was gold for us. There was a baby bath which was great as there is only a shower in the bathroom. Ceiling fans keep it nice and cool. Good sized rooms, kitchen and living area. Only small complaint is that the blinds are not blackout as advertised and the walls are very thin- my husband could here me opening the fridge while putting Bub to sleep in the babies room. But overall we loved it and Amanda was fantastic in her communication with us.

Wonderful, relaxing and delightful escape

Amanda has provided a lovely home suitable for a blissful getaway, beautifully appointed, and in very short walking distance from both delightful bushwalks to surprising and awe-inspiring natural environments (the dogs took me on adventures to find waterfalls, caves and swimming holes) and to the broad, sunshiny beach and the foreshore swimming pool, which is overlooked by the fabulous lunch spots of both the Cafe and General Store and Pearls. The lovely touches like the wine, cheese and biscuits to settle in on arrival, coffee, tea and milk for the morning, as well as the little extras like spices, olive oil, and other pantry items to help inspire culinary efforts were greatly appreciated, as was the amazingly well-curated video library, which included some lesser-known but brilliant Australian cinema. The paintings on the walls reflect the natural beauty of the setting in the bush next to the beach, and the front deck is truly a delightful spot to relax, unwind and have a BBQ whilst listening to the wildlife and birdcalls. This was a very happy find for my dogs and myself, and the provision of dog bowls and bed is a very kind and thoughtful touch. Whilst I did not travel with children, I can see clearly that this would be a wonderful spot to bring one's family, as the children's room is beautiful and welcoming, and there is a great boardgame collection as well as plenty of books and videos for them as well (when they are tired out from all the fun at the beach, or it is too rainy to go out). I recommend Banksia Cottage wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway to both the bush and the beach in one day.

Best beach holiday!

We had a wonderful stay at Amanda's house. We have a 10-month old baby and the house was perfect for kids. It is absolutely spotless and is so well stocked, we felt very much at home. The beautiful beach is 5 minutes walk.

Lovely spot for a family getaway

This cottage is beautifully set-up for a family getaway. Great care and thought has gone into making it child-friendly with books and DVDs and games. We found it spacious and clean. Incredibly welcoming, our host made the cottage availalable earlier in the day than required for us and provided some groceries like bread and milk for us, which was unexpected but very much appreciated. The location is at the bush end of pearl beach, quiet and peaceful with close access to fire trails and a short walk to aboretum. We would definitely come here again. Thankyou.

Short walk to to beach

The cottage is a short walk to the beach, which has a pool and a walk around the rocks. Nice clean, easy to use property. Five stars to the owner for communication and her friendly manner.

Excellent time

The house has everything you need - Amanda hasn't missed a thing! It was also extremely comfortable and clean. Great location - we did a short bushwalk up to a waterfall and the kids loved it.

Wonderful restful easy stay - perfect place to get away and explore Pearl Beach

We have a small dog so wanted somewhere that would be easy to facilitate a dog and this place was definitely it - decent sized rooms - large living / kitchen area - outside deck - heating for winter - shower great water pressure and heat and perfect location at end of the street (so quiet and woke to birdsong each morning) and easy walk to beach and many bushwalking tracks and the arboretum - wonderful friendly hosts and the place was impeccably clean and came with tea / sparkling wine / milk / dog bed(trampoline type) / etc - we didn’t need the 2nd and 3rd bedroom but they are large and one set out for kids with loads of toys and perfectly appointed.

Lovely house close to the beach

What a lovely home. The property was a short walk to beautiful Pearl Beach and perfect for our family of five. The cot and high chair were excellent for our little one. The house was very clean, with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. Would highly recommend this home for families!
