Given that it is spring break time of year the pool was quite busy on the 6th floor but I was still able to find a chair and enjoy itMy room was facing the canal side but the view was absolutely beautiful day and night

No hot water my 2nd night. The front desk could not authorize maintenance without approval from the host, which did not happen until the next morning. I was in town for conference and was only in the room to shower and sleep so a cold shower was very disappointing. Asked host for an extra 30min-1hr to check out due to work delay, and they told me contradictory things. Seems they had multiple people replying to me. Did not have chance to use any of amenities. Close to beach. Homeless people near the driveway entrance camped out that yelled at me while walking by. Will book a hotel next time, since the amenities were not used.

This was generally a nice place, but candidly not worth the money. You can find better places for cheaper in the area. Biggest issues were the elevators took forever (at times waiting ten minutes to catch an elevator down) and the room was not the cleanest; countertops still had gunk on them, stains on the couch, rugs, curtains, throw pillow, etc. The location was good, short walk up the beach. The pools were really nice and gym had everything you could possibly need. The bed was comfortable. The shower was big, clean and had good water pressure. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, just wouldn't go back at this price level.

Great location, have enjoyed coming to Hyde for several years. That being said, we knew what to expect but this spring break was the worst experience of all. Be prepared to wait 20-45 min for elevators. The pool area was great as always, easy beach access is a plus. The room needed a better cleaning. The listing is inaccurate, read the fine print. There will be a 3rd charge presented to you by the host before your arrival. The host up charges for parking and resort fees. If you stay more than 6 days, I would encourage you to book thru HYDE directly. You will get the discounted rate for parking and resort fees. After all the extra fees the host tacked on, I could have gotten a 2 bedroom for about the same rate.

Great stay

It took over an hour to check in but otherwise great stay. One of the toilets was clogged. Our host sent someone the next day to fix. Great location, walked to the beach. Very nice condo.

Feb vacation

Apt was great. Very clean, great view with amenities. Pool area was beautiful & the parking was great, never had to wait too long for our car. Area is great, you can walk to stores. Only problem were the elevators from Thursday to Sunday when majority of people come.

Beautiful Property - Beware of the Hidden Costs

This is a beautiful property that looks exactly as pictured in the listing. The rooms are very modern and the views and amenities are great. Beware, however, that the cost is actually DOUBLE what is listed as the per night rate on VRBO. There are an outrageous number of Resort Fees that must be paid before check-in. These fees double your overall nightly rate. So when comparing this to other properties you should be comparing this to properties with double the rate that comes up when you search on VRBO.

Beautiful condo

Condo and amenities top of the line. However was not prepared for the “final payment”. Also needed to pay yet another “security” payment at hotel during check in. Feel I’ll never see that extra 150.00 again. Disappointed at added charges after thinking bill was final.

Be cautious renting from this owner!

Be cautious using this property owner. Lack of communication. We requested early check in front desk said unit wouldn’t be ready until 4pm so early check in wasn’t available But property owner charged our card for early check in wouldn’t respond to text messages or Vrbo message center. Then said room was left unclean however we were not given any instructions on exit. Nice resort terrible owner

Unfortunately we sometimes encounter people who violate building and property regulations. In this case the guest brought 7 people onto the property, entered at 12pm asking for early check in and then refusing to pay. In addition he left the apartment completely dirty with stains on the couches and bed. This person is not recommended.

BEWARE OF EXTRA FEES

WARNING: You will get hit with an additional admin fee ($375) that doesn't show up in the price breakdown with other fees, even though it says final cost. When I booked, it actually said NO HIDDEN FEES. The admin fee was added on to subsequent invoices I received. I tried to fight it but VRBO was no help and the property basically had me by the teeth so I had to pay. This almost effectively doubled my room rate so keep that in mind when comparing to other properties. Very shady business practice. They told me it was listed in the property description, but it was buried among a litany of legalese so I was under the impression they were referring to the fees that were already listed because it clearly said NO HIDDEN FEES at the price breakdown with the other fees. Apart from that, the property was amazing. Our room was on the 21st floor with an amazing view. Room and bathrooms were clean, balcony was huge, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The elevator situation needs to be corrected, you might get lucky and get right to your floor, or have to wait 20 minutes. I believe there were 4 elevators but 2 were out of service during a busy weekend so much time was spent in a crowded elevator. The pool area was nice but if a pool bar is important to you, just know their bar is as big as a large restroom with no seating. All that said, I would consider staying here again if only it weren't for those pesky hidden fees. Next time I will look elsewhere.

This was a very disappointing stay. The biggest issue was pricing. There were nearly 1,000 in additional fees that were not clearly shown upfront and were only visible if you expanded the listing. The total cost was much higher than expected, and I would not have booked had it been clear.Communication was unreliable. The host would initiate texts but stop responding when I asked questions. On the day of check-in, it took multiple attempts to get basic information. During the stay, I reached out about several issues and either received no response or no resolution. The unit itself had problems. The shower was dirty and had someone else’s hair in it. Multiple items did not work, including lights and the bedroom TV, so we ended up watching shows on an iPad instead. The only positive was the resort staff, who were kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the rental experience itself fell far below expectations, and I would not stay at this property again.
