We’re glad to hear that you found the Mountain Trail Retreat to be as advertised, well-cleaned, and prepared for guests. It’s nice to know that you appreciated the ample parking and the availability of plenty of beds. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the pool. The pool cleaner broke his arm so we had to have someone else clean the pool during your stay. We always have the pool professionally cleaned so this was an unusual situation. We appreciate your understanding and are glad to know that you still found it to be a great place to stay on Lake Travis.

HI Cedrick, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are surprised by the 3-star review, but appreciate the opportunity to respond. The stove top to the upstairs oven has a magnetic puck that needs to be placed on the stovetop in order for it to work properly. When you reported the issue, we were there within 30 minutes to address the issue. Regarding the noise, as all of our communication indicates (as well as the guest book onsite), the home is in a residential neighborhood and quiet hours do need to be observed. We received a call from the neighbors after midnight, so that is when we reached out asking your group to turn down the music. Again, we appreciate the opportunity to respond, and we hope you enjoyed your stay.

Thank you for your detailed feedback—we’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful lake view and found the home to have great potential for a relaxing weekend. We also appreciate you acknowledging the towel setup and our responsiveness throughout your stay. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about the areas that didn’t meet expectations. Please know that we take your concerns seriously and have already taken steps to address them. We are in the process of installing all new smoke detectors throughout the home for added safety and peace of mind. Additionally, we’ve scheduled a thorough pest control inspection of the entire property to ensure cleanliness and prevent any future issues. We’ve also followed up with our cleaning and maintenance teams to reinforce our standards, including addressing the hot tub water level, grill condition, fridge cleaning, and ensuring trash bins are fully emptied before new guests arrive. Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future with a much-improved experience.

While we strive to provide an exceptional experience for all of our guests, Elizabeth’s review does not reflect the reality of our efforts during her stay. The property was thoroughly cleaned prior to her arrival, with spotless kitchen and bathrooms. However, there were some paint chips on the floor due to the house being painted after the initial cleaning. As soon as Elizabeth brought this to our attention, we immediately arranged and paid for professional cleaners to return the very next morning to address her concerns. Despite this, Elizabeth also demanded a substantial refund, which we felt was unreasonable given that we had already resolved the issue promptly. Additionally, her review does not acknowledge several accommodations we made to enhance her stay: we made an exception to keep the pool open for her in November (despite our typical closure in October), shipped brand-new pickleball paddles and balls for her use, and replaced a coffee pot that she accidentally broke the very next day—at no charge to her. We take guest feedback seriously and always aim to provide fair, responsive service. However, we cannot condone attempts to leverage reviews for refunds, which Elizabeth explicitly stated as her intention. We encourage future guests to reach out directly with any concerns during their stay, as we are always eager to make things right.

We are glad to have the opportunity to respond to this review and provide some additional clarity..... 1. It's important to mention that we checked in on the guest throughout their stay and at no time, did she mention anything about someone showing up and making the claim that another group had rented the home - never, so we have no idea what she is referring to. It seems that if this had happened within 15 minutes of arrival, we would have been contacted immediately, yet there was never any mention of this. 2. Yes, we did contact the guest after we received noise complaints from the neighbors. While it was still daytime (6:30pm) when the complaint came through, our listing states clearly 'no parties', so the fact that we received a complaint due to noise is what prompted us to reach out to the guest and request that they be respectful of the neighbors, and yes, we did inform the guest that if we received additional complaints, that the guest may be asked to leave without refund. 3. There was nobody at the home flipping breakers Unfortunately, we believe this review was left as retaliatory because they were contacted based on noise complaints.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful views and found the home clean. We’re sorry that some of the property and amenities did not meet your expectations. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention, and we’ll be reviewing the refrigerator, oven, pool and hot tub, as well as the outdoor areas, to make sure everything is properly maintained and operating as it should. We’re always looking for ways to improve the guest experience.

HI Randall, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we'll look forward to having you back as our guest in the future. Thanks again and safe travels, The Team at iTrip Vacations

Hi Tyler, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review - we are glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to have you back as our guest in the future! Thanks again, Amy with iTrip

Megan, Thank you for taking the time to leave this (disappointing) review and fixing is the chance to respond. It is unfortunate that guests are allowed to leave ‘retaliatory’ reviews, without any validation, as we believe this to be the case. The guest made this reservation almost 2 months in advance so to suggest she was forced to settle on this home, or that it was the only one available, is simply inaccurate . During the guest’s stay, received MULTIPLE complaints from the neighbors due to excessive noise after quiet hours (midnight - 8am), and the guest ignored our communication (phone calls, text messages and emails) reminding them of quiet hours. This home is in a neighborhood and quiet hours are mentioned multiple times in our communication with guests. The listing clearly states ‘no parties’. While we do not leave towels sitting on the counter, of course there were bath towels in the home (in addition to the poll towels mentioned in this review). Towels are located in the cabinets of each of the bathrooms. I hope people reading this review will question why a host would leave pool towels but not bath towels and then realize something might be off about the review. Has we known you were unable to locate the towels, we would have tile you where to look (although it seems that most would have known to look in the cabinet). As the welcome book mentions, the upstairs stove has a magnetic puck that must be on the stove in order for it to work properly. As part of our inspection process prior to guest arrival, this is always confirmed so we know that both upstairs and downstairs ovens were working properly. On the day of arrival we received a text from the guest commenting on how beautiful the home is but did ask if we would send someone out to clean the hot tub - we were happy to do so, however if you leave the cover off when not in use, which they had, there will be pollen and leaves that end up in the hot tub, especially if it is windy, as it was during the guests stay. Check out instructions are minimal (take out trash, load and start dishwasher - dishwashing soap is provided) so we have no idea why the guest says she was instructed to clean and complained about there being no cleaning supplies. We address all issues that are presented, de want our guests to have an enjoyable stay - unfortunately, if we don’t know of an issue, we are unable to correct the situation. We are sorry that this property did not meet your expectations. iTrip Vacations
