Great place with easy access to both resorts

Great location and able to use the Alta shuttle to go to either Snowbird or Alta.

Great location. On the bus route between Alta and Snowbird, just a few minutes away from each. The condo is spacious and well cared for. We found the kitchen stocked with everything we needed, including coffee and spices. (Pro tip - don't buy coffee filters! There are plenty of those already in the cabinet)Communications with the owner were clear and responsive. Overall, a great stay and a fantastic overall experience.

I have stayed in the Hellgate Codominiums in the past. Great location and clean. I have always enjoyed the limited number of units and the natural feel of the location. The Unit A was well equipped and cozy. It is somewhat dated but the beds and living room couches were comfortable and homelike. I would recommend this condo the a family of four and max six. The kitchen was well equipped and efficient. I would definitely stay there again. Unfortunately the snow was sparse and did not deliver as Utah has in the past.

Perfect for us

A perfect stay near Alta with covered parking that avoids all morning and evening traffic. Hot tub was a big hit after full ski days

The positives were the location and it is three bedrooms each with an attached bathroom although one of the bedrooms is a glorified closet. For this much space the price is reasonable. There were a few negatives however. The instructions on how to get to the building and how to enter are inaccurate. We eventually gave up and parked on the main road and called the number posted at the unattended front desk. The person who answered indicated that they are aware that the instructions are inaccurate, so why not correct them?Shortly after check in we discovered that one of the toilets would not flush. We again contacted the office and they said they would look at it while we were out. On our return the toilet still would not flush. We looked and the flush apparatus in the tank had been poorly patched splinting the arm with a 2 inch screw and two zip ties. When I called again I was informed that the owners have known about this for a long time but never properly repaired it. So why not tell me this when I first called?Finally there was construction going on in one of the other units in the building leading to headaches with noise and parking access all weekend. Speaking of parking the slot in the garage is very difficult to get in and out of if you are driving anything bigger than a mini cooper. Thankfully no one else was using the garage that weekend.In all price was good but you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately, it appears you reached out to the HOA's general building management rather than using the direct phone number provided for your specific unit, which is why we were unaware of your situation at the time. While this was an isolated issue resulting from the instructions not being followed, we always strive to make every arrival as smooth as possible.

Greatest Bang for Your Buck

Great location between Alta and Snowbird. Very detailed communicaiton. Great amenities, including the best shuttle service I've ever experienced. Highly recommend!

Great comfortable cozy mountain condo

Traditional mountain condo perfectly situated right in between both awesome resorts. Large parking garage allowing clearance for my truck (7+ft). Jeff was very helpful and responsive as host.

Decent stay

Clean and comfortable for what we needed. Would have been nice to have a little outdoor furniture on the deck. Beds were comfortable as were pillows. Warn guests with mobility issues about lots of stairs!

Thanks Kim! There are lots of stairs at the Hellgate Condo Complex as it is practically situated on a cliff. We are glad you found our beds and pillows comfortable! We bought new linens this year and try to keep them refreshed for our guests. We work hard to have a clean place for our guests to stay in. I will recommend outdoor furniture to the owner, however, in the Winter the outdoor space has TONS of snow and so outdoor furniture has never been a priority. Thanks again for staying with us!

Extended Easter weekend powder perfection

Great location for Alta or Snowbird. Free shuttle was wonderful. Sleeps 6 adults easily. Lots of stairs to get down to the condo, made unloading the car exhausting. Boot up room benches, hooks & shelves was a great area to store ski gear, gloves, helmets etc in one place.

Powder Roost Hell Gate

We had a great stay. The property manager that was onsite, Ryan, was super helpful. He helped us get our vehicle stuck out of the snow. We would definitely come back. Only suggestion would be to provide a bin for recycling. Thanks!

Nice Spot for A Family Stay

The condo is in an older building but it worked well for our family stay at the start of the summer season (4 adults and 2 children). Had everything we needed. There are quite a few stairs to reach the condo with your belongings so would be difficult for those with mobility issues. Was nice to have designated garage space, although it is tight if have a larger vehicle. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this condo.

Hellgate condo ski vacation

Property was ok, but not great. Sort of expected that. It was quite confusing to book a place through VRBO and then iTrip takes over part way through the process. You guys should be more up front about that.

A place to return to

Good floor plan, accommodates gatherings well while providing privacy if wanted. Great location for hiking in Little Cottonwood. Covered parking for one car is a plus. Onsight manager responsive and helpful. Need to be able to negotiate several flights of stairs from the parking area to access the unit. Would not recommend for people with disabilities or mobility issues.
