Host was very accommodating, took care of us from start to finish. The place was even better than expected and would definitely recommend staying here.

Host has a great response time. Accommodations are basic as advertised. Big TV, nice shower and bathroom. Rather cold; bring your own blankets and slippers if booking in colder months.

Great little place.

Great place to stay for the price. Host was very friendly. It's like getting to stay in a large suite at a hotel but with a huge backyard which was a big plus.

Check in was easy. Accommodations were just what we needed. Clean and calming. The host was easy to communicate with and responded to questions promtly. His family, who were on site, were very kind, gentle and helpful; especially his Mother who was very gracious towards my elderly parents.

The pictures are accurate. It was decently clean. We reached out to the manager to obtain towels and had planned ahead from the picture to bring additional blankets for coziness. It met our needs for a weekend we planned on being out and about. The back yard was large and our kiddo enjoyed running around.

Amazing!

This place is amazing, although my friends and I were only there for a night. It truly is an amazing place to stay when you’re looking to get out of the city. The host has amazing communication skills, and welcomes everybody with open arms. I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a getaway at a great price. I will definitely be coming back in the future!

Was as expected, said that there would be no one else in the house but the owners were upstairs. Not a big deal. If you are staying here I suggest you bring your own pillows and a blanket. The ones the provide are terrible. Bring some towels too maybe. Only provided one for me and my guest for the two day stay.

Less Than Satisfactory

A basement apartment meets minimum requirements. Very cold so bring slippers and extra bedding. We had two spare quilts with us and needed both. The TV isn’t on WiFi, is ANCIENT and can’t stream or be cast to. It’s 2025! There were human hairs on the cold bathroom floor that definitely aren’t ours. The access is a sliding door and iffy pathway with a very sad security fence that locks and is totally awkward.Good location. Close to everything.

Check in was fairly smooth, once we finally received the information. We had several issues with the location though. The walkway to the apartment had no lighting and was a bit awkward getting to the apt., especially at night. The entry didn't feel very secure since the glass doors didn't lock properly and the gate had large openings that someone could reach through to grab the key, that is right next to the door. The apt hadn't been vacuumed very well and the waste basket had someone elses garbage in it. There were some sort of monitors, facing each of the beds, that made us wonder if we were being filmed, so we covered them. There were no curtains so we covered the windows with pillows and the door with a quilt. The apt also lacked good lighting and the stairway that went upstairs made us feel like they could come and go without our knowledge. Like other guests mentioned, it was VERY cold. They only gave us 1 towel, for 2 people, and it didn't look very clean. Becareful when you sit on the toilet, the seat isn't attached properly and you could end up in the next town. The pillows didn't smell clean, glad I had my own with me. They don't have a coffee pot or electric kettle, so if you like coffee in the morning, bring your own. The apt could use a little maintenance for an improved stay for guests.

Dont do it

At first the place was ok. We were warned it hadn't been cleaned. It wad disgusting. Dirty stained bed sheets on floor with a pair of dirty boxers on it and them we noticed the bed bugs and roaches. He was a horrible host who did nothing but threaten us

I am submitting this review to warn future guests of serious safety issues and misrepresentation by the host. This reservation was for three guests, and the listing stated “parking on site,” which reasonably implied space vehicles. Check‑in instructions were supposed to be provided three days before arrival, but none were sent. After contacting VRBO, the host advised the patio door would be left unlocked with a key inside. Upon arrival, the key did not lock the door, leaving the property unsecured. The pathway had no lighting and unstable steps, and neither of the two doors could be locked from the inside. This violates basic guest safety expectations and raises concerns about compliance with minimum accommodation standards. Inside the unit, we found broken blinds with no privacy, bed in front of door, a TV with power but no functioning ports, no coffee maker or kettle, no smoke or carbon monoxide detectors, an unclean bathroom mirror, and only two towels for three guests. There was no direct contact information given for the host. After reporting the issues via VRBO and providing video evidence, the host denied responsibility and falsely claimed that five guests stayed and that we arrived with two cars without notice. Both statements are untrue; I confirmed the two vehicles with the host prior to arrival, and we have video proof showing only the three registered guests. Based on this experience I strongly advise future guests to exercise caution when looking at this place

Orangeville weekend stay

The stay was uncomfortable from the start as the address for google maps had the right location but incorrect street and address. After finding the right address from the host as we arrived after dark, 7:30 pm the house was completely dark with no sensor lights to activate and a dark path and steps down to the backyard .After accessing the home we found the bathroom not cleaned with hair on the floor and in the shower, and not just a little bit. There was also hairs on the sheets - we had to purchase new sheets for our comfort and peace of mind. We would not recommend this property at any price.
