This home exceeded our expectations! Well appointed, fully-stocked, very comfortable, and very honest in the listing. We had 15 people here, and we were not crowded at all. Conveniently located between South Fork and Creede, in a very beautiful location. Super clean upon arrival, and zero disappointments along the way. Great place!!!

Best Stay In Colorado

This nice roomy cabin is tucked in the most perfect part of the San Juan mountains. With the river running close buy, and other attractions there is an unlimited options on how to spend your day. Beds were comfy, no one on the trip had anything bad to say about the stay. I will definitely be staying here for all of my future visits to Colorado

Family vacation

The home has all the accessories needed in case you forget something. Close to fishing and other towns for shopping. Beautiful area, Deer came up and watched us in the kitchen. Very enjoyable, neighbors were friendly. Will recommend to other families.

Awesome Place

4 families stayed 4 nights and skied Wolf Creek. Was only 30 minutes from the slopes. Cabin was nice and quite. Had plenty of room. Had a great time. Thanks for everything.

The size of the space was great for our large group. Comfortable sleeping. Liked that it was not right in town, quiet. Had deer & a bear visit! Only "complaints" would be that there was no hot tub as advertised & check out time of 9AM is quite early. Owner VERY responsive to contact.

Plenty of space

We had a group of 17 stay here after Christmas. We had plenty of space to spread out. The only draw back to having that many people was the hot water had a hard time keeping up during shower time.

South Fork Cabin for family reunion

My husband is one of 8 siblings who grew up in Santa Fe. They are scattered all over the west, so this was a perfect location to meet for a few days with some of the spouses and a few nieces and kids. The house is spacious and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We enjoyed our time together. We explored nearby Del Norte and Creede. Some of the more adventurous hiked and went fishing--it is a beautiful area.

Spring Stay 2025

The property was very spacious and open for our group. The bedrooms were spread out, no issue though. This allowed the teens to gather together as well as the adults. Big kitchen area with separate dining helped feed everyone quickly. A couple of minor issues did occur, which were addressed via Tom & Kathy promptly. Very clean and comfortable overall, and a nice place to stay.

House between South Fork and Creede

There was lots of space for our group to gather for meals, to play games, watch TV, and even to do a puzzle and to play ping pong. The beds were comfortable and there were just the right number of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 8.The oven, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and clothes washer all worked great. Would have been nice to have a working drier, but we managed to air-dry everything.There are a lot of steps in the house, you really have to be careful to be safe.

Love Creede

All the bedrooms were fine. To many strange steps in the house. No suitable for handicapped people. Clean and everything in working condition. Location good. Didn’t like having to find someplace to drop off our trash.

Cross Country team trip

We stayed here in 2020 and it was good, and it was good this time as well. It was closer to 4.5 stars than just four, btw. The check-in didn't go perfectly due to a confused writing of the lockbox code(s). There were a FEW things not cleaned from a previous guest, but to be fair, I'm not sure we brought that up with the owners. The biggest critique is the trash issue with the store versus logistics and our schedule. That said, we liked the place and the location for drives to our runs, hikes, and drives up CO-149 north of the place.

Great place for a family reunion

Lots of room, the home is well equipped and had plenty of opportunities for skiing (30min from Wolf Creek), and other recreational activities (it is near the Rio Grande river). We recommend it.

Nice accommodations. Check in time too late and check out time too early. Trash an issue. We had to check out by 9:00am. Trash was left over by past users but we set all the trash out for pick up. Was to be picked up by 9:00am. No trash truck, so we had to put all the trash back and take ours with us. Left a trashy taste in our mouths! Recommend earlier check in time and later check out time and improved trash arrangement.

Thanks for your feedback. ... The check-in and check-out times are set to allow for proper cleaning and safety measures between guests. As you can imagine, cleaning a 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 2,375 sq ft home takes some time including numerous loads of wash. Regret any inconvenience. ...Trash arrangements. We are going revert back to the original etiquette which has worked since 2006. We appreciate you helping us out trying this new service.

Disappointment in Colorado vacation

Property pictures on your site do no reflect the actual condition of the property. The property is not being properly maintained.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconveniences. ... We took your suggestions and eliminated the condiments in the refrigerator door, the supplies in the pantry, and the ice packs in the freezer. The one carpet tacking strip has been fixed. We are adding jacuzzi instructions so other guests will not shoot water on our walls. ... We hope you enjoyed the new couch, all new linens. and the new gas range which joined the recently purchased dishwasher and refrigerator, giving our guests two refrigerators to keep items fresh. ... We hope you were able to utilize the fishing gear on the Rio Grande River near our home along with the awe-inspiring reservoirs nearby which are known for their gold medal fishing.

Fun times

Great location in one of the most scenic places in Colorado (IMHO). Home was stocked with most everything we would have needed - was a quick trip where we brought the minimum needed so was nice to find the place well stocked with the small things. Lots of room for our group of six, quiet location near the Rio Grande for fishing, and South Fork and Creede were great places to visit.
