Villa Estrella Azul is located on the southern tip of Tamarindo Beach, about an hour's drive from the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia. In Tamarindo, you'll find grocery stores, bars and restaurants, pharmacies, medical clinics, and lots of fun boutique shopping. Some specifics about this property:
Enjoy Langosta Beach as well with just a short walk or drive.

Hotel Capitan Suizo, Tamarindo's premier beachfront boutique hotel, is just across the road. Enjoy meals at the restaurant, or sunset cocktails at the bar.

We had a great time at Villa Estrella Azul! There were 14 of us, 6 kids and 8 adults. The pool house/casita was perfect for the older teenagers who wanted quiet away from the little kids in the main house. Plenty of space to hang out and do puzzles or play games, and the pool was wonderful. An easy walk to the beach, and a few places to have a bite to eat or go for a cocktail were also walkable. We rented golf carts to get around and were able to go 'downtown' to shops and restaurants. Tamarindo is a bustling little town and fun to explore. We went on a sunset catamaran cruise, and also did an estuary tour. Our concierge, Giulia, set up our shuttle bus to/from the airport in Liberia and it all went very smoothly. It was a great vacation.

Amazing house

We loved our stay here for my friend’s 40th birthday. We had 16 women and our trip was amazing from start to finish. The house was beautiful and everyone we encountered was kind and helpful! 5 stars across the board!

Family Re-union

Great Location and a beautiful Villa.More than ample space for reunion of 14-16 without feeling claustrophobic. Staff was outstanding and always smiling!

Excellence in Tamarindo

We were a group of 14 people and LOVED this place - we had so much room, the house was spotless, the pool area gorgeous, and the communication was quick and efficient. We would absolutely love to come back and the kids are already asking us when we can come back!

Family Spring Break Vacation

Incredible time at Villa Azul with my family and siblings. It was everything advertised and more. Our concierge Diego was the absolute best. He was super responsive even during his wedding ( which we didn’t know of) but super impressed. Can’t wait to go back! Pura Vida!!

Best trip ever!

Beautiful home and location. Loved Costa Rica, wish we had stayed longer. Tamarindo is lovely. Our concierge, Diego was very helpful and assisted us with activities, even arranged a private chef to prepare a fabulous dinner at the house. Pura Vida!!!

Costa Rica Wedding

The villa was exceptional! We experienced beautiful mornings with rainy afternoons/evenings. Didn’t deter us at all! The walk to the beach is easy, and our adult kids enjoyed learning to surf. The golf cart made getting around easy (except in the rain—have a backup plan just in case! LOL! Overall, we had a great time, the villa staff were exceptional & we would stay here again! Pura Vida!

Fantastic stay in Tamarindo - Perfect for large families

Our family of 14 had an incredible stay at this beautiful house in Tamarindo! The home was spacious and well-designed, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably. The location was ideal—close to the heart of town, making it easy to walk to take a golf cart to restaurants, shops, and the beach while still offering a private and peaceful retreat.One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional concierge and staff. They were incredibly attentive, helping us arrange activities, transportation, and anything else we needed to make our vacation seamless and stress-free. Their hospitality truly elevated our experience.If you’re looking for a well-located, spacious rental with outstanding service, this is the perfect choice. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tamarindo!

Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at La Villa Azul in Tamarindo! The home was spotless, beautifully designed, and truly luxurious—every detail felt high-end, from the elegant decor to the resort-style pool surrounded by lush landscaping. The common spaces were open and breezy, perfect for relaxing, and every bedroom was spacious and comfortable. We were a group of 18 and fit easily with plenty of room to spread out. The location felt very safe and private, just minutes from breathtaking beaches and all the charm of Tamarindo. Diego, our concierge, was amazing—quick to respond, full of great recommendations, and helped us with all our transportation and bookings. Eduardo and his team went above and beyond with daily cleaning, pool service, and fresh breakfasts that made the experience feel truly five-star. We wish we could have stayed longer. This place is a dream—highly recommend!

The property is absolutely beautiful and private. It is just a short stroll to the beach once we located the access. Features many extras such as the pool and lots of gathering spaces on covered verandah, porches, and especially loved the outdoor beds on upper balcony. Every room has large comfortable beds and plenty of shelves for belongings. We also loved the fact that the staff would prepare us breakfast if we provided the groceries and we could all sit together at the huge dining table. Everything was thoughtfully furnished and the quality was good. As a short term rental owner myself, there are a few things that could be improved. While this may sound minor, it was not until the end of the stay that we got a functioning coffee pot. The home had several but neither worked. If determined you could stand over one pot and keep hitting a button to continue the perk process. We reported it and were sent directions on how to make coffee. Even the staff new they did not function. We had staff services and they washed our towels but they were not promptly returned. Hence I never let go of bath or beach towel again during the stay. There were several non-functioning things - lamps in bedrooms, rain shower heads, interior pool lights for night swimming. The home was not the cleanest in the bathrooms; upon arrival I cleaned my own vanity/tile of stickiness and toothpaste. Response from concierge could be better. We would absolutely stay again; positives far exceeded any negative.

Beautiful property and perfect for our family vacation!!

This was a perfect location for our family vacation! There was a total of 13 adults in our party and I feel like Playa Langasta suited our needs very well. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and have our own space but also large gathering areas (the dining room and the pool area) where we could also all be together. There was plenty of things to do; from hanging out in the pool, to spending time on the beach (which was just a very short walk), to lots of shopping and lots of dining options. The house was very clean when we arrived and the cleaning crew checked on us daily to see if there was anything we needed. We had prearranged to have some groceries delivered before we got to the house and it was all put away very nicely. It was wonderful to have a few things on hand when we arrived and not have to rush out to the grocery store right away. The groundskeeper arrived every morning to pick up and wash towels and kept the outside area pristine. He was AMAZING and SO friendly and welcoming. (I wish we would have gotten his name.) The kitchen is equipped with lots of cooking utensils and supplies. You could easily cook all your meals right there in your own kitchen. . . but then you would miss out on the amazing food that is within walking distance or a short golf cart ride away. The property is gated so we always felt safe. Thank you Playa Langasta for creating wonderful family memories!!

Exceptional Visit - Exceeded Expectations!

I have been planning travel for myself and my extended family for several years. We have had our share of ups and downs when it comes to houses, hosts, and concierge services. Casa Estrella Azul is our new high standard for vacation rentals. The photos did not even begin to do justice to this house! Upon entry, every guest was in awe of the architecture and decor. Azure blue and crisp white lent an open and welcoming feeling to this lovely home. Our chefs were perfectly pleased with the kitchen furnishings and were able to find everything that was needed to provide meals to all 13 family members. The rooms are well furnished with very comfortable beds and the bathrooms are squeaky clean with plenty of storage and counter space. Casa Estrella Azul's location is perfection! It is within easy walking distance to town and the beach - our group enjoyed shopping, spa time, shore fishing, surfing, and breweries without the need for a car! Last, I want to note that the house's management company, Stay in Tamarindo, was truly the best hospitality group that I have ever worked with! Diego, our concierge, was attentive and always available for questions or issues. Because of flight problems, only three of us arrived on the first day of our booking. The other 13 arrived the following evening and Diego made sure that each group was taken care of. He helped to plan and reserve all of our excursions (some of which had to be rescheduled due to the arrival delay) and made sure that transportation was made available, when necessary. Overall, this was the best vacation stay that our family has ever experienced, by far! We happened to have timed our trip when the owners were in town and had the good fortune to meet them. They are a real treat! Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!
