Inn No Hurry…to leave

This home was clean and a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay. The weather was cool but the hot tub kept us warm. The fireplace and gas grill were a great bonus for this time of year.

Very nice house and community set up. Great for the family! House keeping could have been a little better. Sand on the floor and dishes were left in dishwasher.

Beach vacation

We had a great overall experience. The water in the master bathroom was cold, however I made a call and it was fixed within a couple hours. Would recommend to friends and family.

• Spiders all over - inside and out!• The second floor balcony is completely useless - tons of spiders and webs. There are so many-creepy! Pest control?• Flies all over the lower floor when we got there. Our granddaughters wouldn't use the bathroom until my husband got them using a towel - no flyswatter anywhere!• Mop left in half bath w/dr closed and light on; bottle of spray cleaner left in 2nd floor bathroom. It looked like the cleaner didn't finish, only clean in some areas.• Code didn't work; the only way to get in was thru the door to the garage, left unlocked when we arrived. My husband climbed over the wall to let us in.• Garage door and opener don't work properly, very difficult to even operate.• No fly swatter for all the flies and spiders (Requested, promised, but not delivered)• No broom & dust pan; huge bulky vacuum doesn't help! (Requested but no answer, no delivery)• Towel bar loose in 2nd floor bathroom• No mention of the fact that there are 2 types of coffee makers (a great thing to advertise & know ahead of time), so guests can bring their preferred type of coffee - and which type filter to bring.• TV in the master bedroom doesn't work properly - odd colors or no color, a lot of purples and grays.•Mattress in the master bedroom is so soft (with a gulley on the dresser side), that it's really uncomfortable for our backs. I couldn't turn onto my left side without rolling right back-couldn't get a decent night's sleep all week!*Elevator is wonderful

I waited until today to write this review to give both VRBO and Village Realty (property managers/host) time to call back and rectify the issues present on our trip. Cons; The images are not up to date and the home is in need of some upgrades especially the carpets. When we arrived, the trash from the cleaning crew was outside the door for us to remove. Entry to the home was interesting especially if you do not like spiders. We swept that area ourselves. It was so bad, the grill cleaning brush was covered in webs and we sprayed for spiders the first night. The floors and carpets were not cleaned and the air filter covers were coated in grime. The BIGGEST issue was the THREE window air conditioner units on the top floor (never noted or in pics) - the upstairs living and kitchen area remained between 78-80 every night. The kicker was the aluminum foil and paper towel installation. We asked if the A/C was broken but received no response. The keurig broke on day 2 and we were told a new one was coming - nada. Contacted the host company multiple times and was given the run around with only the air filters changed. Pros: elevator is super convenient, pool is a short walk across the road.I contacted VRBO and haven’t received a reply from them either but please take the photos and condition with a large grain of salt.

Overall enjoyed!

Overall enjoyed! Sat in chair on top deck and it broke into. I would have the people that own it use some spider spray. Could not enjoy any of the decks or the patio furniture due to all the spider webs and spiders.

Good location and neighborhood

We’ve been going to the Outerbanks for several years now and have typically stayed in this neighborhood. The location is great and access to beach (with multiple kids) is great. We had 2 families staying. The house was nice and met our needs. Definitely enjoyed the elevator, especially when first unpacking and after a grocery store run. It felt like we may have been the first renters for the season since the house was stuffy when we first checked in with some spider webs/small spiders. There was also something left in the garbage disposal that had a terrible smell but easily fixed when we ran it and sprayed cleaning solution. But clean overall. The ground level light in the main area did keep going out during our stay, even after flipping it back on in fuse box. Management did send someone out the next day but since it keep tripping they said an electrician was needed. Didn’t terribly effect our stay but since the ground level is the room with 2 twin beds there were young kids down there, and we were a bit worried it might’ve scared them at night. Overall good trip and house, would definitely stay here again

Five star pricing for a three star stay. This property stood out amongst the other homes in the area, but not for a good reason. The siding had algae, the outside of property was full of spiderwebs. We were on vacation however we had to hose down and clean the patio chairs, the grill, and the front door gate to avoid getting bit by a spider. However the next morning it was full of spider webs. An exterminator should be sent out to the property to control this issue issue. The grill was filthy, after we cleaned it to use it midway through our grilling the propane tank was apparently low and ran out during our cookout. One of the lightbulbs in the master bathroom did not work, the water pressure in the master bedroom was poor, the third floor was the only floor that felt cool, despite lowering the thermostat. The door to access the hot tub was jammed and we had to walk around and use the front door. Despite all this the property location and layout was nice. The inside of the home was clean.

NOT clean but excellent location!

The location is perfect! Very short walk to the community pool and playground, but not so close that you get noise from the two. Beach access is close enough to walk but probably worth driving if you have a lot of gear to haul. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. Our only complaint about our trip was the house being considerably dirty. I pulled out dishes to wash before using and some of them had dried food caked on (I dont mean residue. It looked like someone ate spaghetti on it then stick it back in the cabinet). I understand the cleaning crew may not check for this, but its worth mentioning. The basement floor (where the pool table is) was so dirty, our feet were black after walking barefoot. So we had to take towels and wash the entire floor. We did the same on the other two floors because they also looked dingy. The basement bathroom was also dirty (fecal matter all over the toilet seat). So I also had to clean this before we could use it.The hall bathroom on the 2nd floor had a stopped up tub drain so bad that the shower was not useable. Since our kids were going to be using that bathroom, my husband took the stopper apart and unclogged the drain so we weren't down a bathroom. This was all extemely inconvenient and frustrating since we had driven 5 hours and then had to turn around a clean everything before we felt comfortable using it. Again, our trip itself was amazing and the house location is perfect. Just not inpressed with the cleaning crew.
