Awesome location.

Great place and awesome fishing from the pier. Tons of wildlife to watch as well. Will stay here again for sure.

Great location for a quiet vacation. Just out of town but quick access to Oriental and all our needs.

Amazing Getaway

I haven’t relaxed that hard in over 15 years. To be able to fish peacefully without the city noise and fast pace was an absolutely blessing. The views were absolutely amazing 1000/10 would recommend!

Mother Daughter Trip

My daughter and I loved our stay here! The location is beautiful and sitting on the deck with the firepit at night was so relaxing and peaceful. It's like being at the beach, hearing the waves and seeing the water without all the beach hassle. We saw so many birds, caught a few crabs, did some fishing and even watched a sting ray living in the area (don't let your kids in the water!). Would absolutely stay here again.

Great property, amazing water views!

This was our first trip to the Oriental area and the Neuse River. The main reason was to check out the village and try out the fishing grounds. This house is perfectly situated on a small bay with easy access to the Neuse River. I loved hanging out on the rear porch listening to the rolling waves, so soothing! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen has been updated and the beds are very nice. We used the supplied kayaks a couple times during our trip and loved it. We would definitely return again on a future trip!

Gorgeous Views

The house is beautiful and the views from the porch are breathtaking. We had lots of space, peace and quiet, and awesome wildlife views. My husband even had a hummingbird almost land on him while we were sitting on the deck. Our only complaint was the house wasn't quite as clean as I would have expected. Other than that, it was great.

Perfect Place to Unwind/Relax and Enjoy the Water

We knew nothing about the area when we booked this house, but absolutely pleased with our choice. The view was amazing and the local restaurants were small town/home town feel. We found a great family owned bakery Sweet Annie's Coffee & Bakery. If you are here check them out. The management company for this property was truly great. The emails with questions were promptly answered. Communication from booking to checking out was accurate and timely. If you don't book this house for sure book through Beth Frazier. You will not be disappointed.

Quiet and scenic

Good location. Kayaks a plus. No lockbox and only 1 key provided, but check in location was fairly close. Lovely deck. Grill was not clean, but materials for cleaning were available. A few extra items like towels, tissues, extra toilet paper and paper towels etc would have been nice. Kitchen well equipped otherwise. I appreciated having the use of this home and thank the owners for making it available.

We loved the location. Quiet and peaceful as advertised. However, there were some things left to be desired. I don't know why but there seems to be issues with the wi fi in many of the places we travel to and this was no exception. The issue was resolved but to deal with it right off the bat was frustrating. The wi fi code was updated but not in our arrival correspondence and there was no welcome booklet to reference. We did get a new booklet and code after bringing it to their attention. The television in the main living room is worthless. The tv is not smart and neither are the owners and representatives for advertising and charging you for a product you cannot use. There was no mechanism to operate it. The upstairs tv did work so we hauled our bag chairs upstairs when we wanted to watch something. It was a smart Roku tv which DID work on wi fi once they got us the correct code. There was dirt on the floor on the main floor and steps going to next level upon arrival. Numerous light bulbs were out. In the basement there were NO lights that worked. They all seemed to be rusted into their fixtures so don't plan on using the ping pong table at night or during low light conditions. Pier light also didn't work if your planning on fishing at night. There was also trash in the basement trash can beside the ping pong table which we disposed of. This is probably a cumulative rant but I'm just tired of it.

Good location

good location on nice creek with a view. the dock and lift was the best part. house was clean and nice. had a maintenance issue and the management company was very responsive.

Quiet Retreat

If your looking to unwind and relax this is the place for you. Loved our morning coffee on the upper deck. Saw sea otters, woodpecker, and some beautiful hummingbirds on a daily basis. Kayaks are a great addition. My son and I fished every day. Even caught one big enough to grill. Enjoyed reconnecting with my family. Definitely would stay here again.

The view and access to fishing right on the property was PERFECT! Everything you need for cooking and family time was provided. We'd definitely love to stay again.

Family reunion

We had a wonderful stay! The dock was perfect for the boys to fish and the kayaks were fun in the calm waters of the creek. My son and his family came over and cooked out on Saturday and later we made s’mores. There was plenty of room for everyone and this lovely home was appointed with everything one would need. The first day was stormy, but the games and cards kept us entertained!! We’d love to return next summer!!

Perfectly Relaxing

This is a wonderful choice if you are looking to have peace and quiet without outside interruption. The view from the house is perfect and the private boat dock is icing on the cake.

Peaceful and serene slice of heaven

The place is perfect for relaxing, reading, and long conversations. If you enjoy peace and quiet this is THE place to go. I would gladly visit again!
