Unique cove beach surrounding, beautiful, tranquil, and private, this water front house is in the famous beach town Chester(Lunenburg County), NS. It is located in the Chester Golf Course Membership area, only 5 minutes from Chester center, Chester Playhouse or Yacht Club, 10 minutes from Queensland Beach, 10 minutes to Mahone bay, Lunenburg, and 40 minutes from downtown Halifax. Great location for day trips nearby saltwater beaches, Peggy's Cove, Annapolis Valley, Hubbards Farmer's Market, etc.
Featuring a terrace and sea views, the spacious guest apartment includes 2 bedrooms, a living room, flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. Towels and bed linen are offered in the guest rooms. The property has an outdoor dining area. It also supplies free private parking, and free Wifi. The driveway, parking lot, front yard, front yard deck and waterfront deck are all exclusively for guest use.

We were extremely pleased when we drove down the lane to opening the door for the first time. It was a perfect location with lots of privacy and peacefulness. The cottage was well stocked with all the comforts of home. The owner responded within minutes of any questions.We made a great choice and will definitely return.Nancy and Rick

We really loved this place! The garden is beautiful and the view of the cove (from both the upper and lower deck) was amazing. We saw bald eagles, osprey, a loon, a hummingbird and a deer. The cottage is cozy with everything we needed. The location is ideal, giving us the opportunity to visit Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove and Halifax.

The accommodation was so lovely it's hard to explain. Sunny, or misty, or even a bit of rain did not diminish our enjoyment. Well-appointed, it had everything we needed. It is such a beautiful location, central to the day trips we took to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and Chester after visiting Halifax. Watching the tide come in every day, hearing the birdsong and the waves lapping against the rocks, was heavenly. Whether you come to see the area or just settle in for a quiet respite, this would be an excellent choice.

As we drove up to the house, we could see the magnificent view it commanded from the deck with four different colored Adirondock chairs. When we walked into the house, the kitchen was in front of you, with two bedrooms to the left on either side of the bathroom. The owner did a great job on details, e.g. under cabinet lights in the bathroom with beautifully tiled shower, and lighted vanity mirror. There was a sitting room with television and comfy furnishings. A dinette set was off to the right of the kitchen. In short, the layout was perfect for our five day stay. The town of Chester is within 10 minute drive with a couple of good restaurants, and music on the weekend. The harbor is beautiful. Its also a 20 minute drive to Hubbards Cove where we found our favorite place for happy hour, Tuna Blue (3pm to 5pm). The Shore restaurant was also in Hubbards Cove if you're looking for a lobster dinner in a mess hall type environment (opened in 1934). The host, Yi, who lives on the other side of the home, was great as we needed some help to get our laundry done. If there was any negative (any its really hard to find one with this place) there's a gun club that meets on Sundays and you can hear the shooting for a couple of hours. Its far away, but still discernible. We just went to the Ovens Park that day (a must see in this part of Nova Scotia). All in all, this place is a 10, a fantastic place to stay and if we visit Nova Scotia again we will definitely stay here.

Beautiful setting, very peaceful with lovely linens on the beds. The kitchen is fully stocked, the sitting room is comfortable and the outside decks are amazing. The little village of Chester was close by with a cozy pub offering live music on select nights and the local playhouse had local talent performing while we were there. We would stay again

We loved the privacy and view of ocean. Loved watching the tide go in and out, that was so amazing. Missed having a sandy beach to walk on. Otherwise , fantastic. Golf course restaurant was amazing as well.

Lovely cottage with stunning views of the bay. We ate in 2 of the nights and the sounds of nature were a chorus of joy.Yi met us upon arrival and was a wonderful host showing us around with easy access if required. Central access to hiking, Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg and all outdoor activities we enjoyed. A great stay! P&R

The property is well located and has an amazing dock by the water. It was very clean, large kitchen and nice new bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay, we relax on the dock and also explore Peggy’s cove and Lunenburg close by. The owners we easy to communicate with, clear indications and very nice. We highly recommend this property and we would for sure rent it again! Thank you

Cove side cottage

A well equipped cottage and beautifully appointed on a protected cove. Beautiful deck, comfortable beds, great kitchen and nice to have to have access to washer/dryer. This was just what we were looking for - relaxation with ocean views.

It was charming, and a lovely location. The only downsides were the steep driveway, and the stairs and ramps you needed to walk to get to the porch and deck. Yi was very prompt to respond to my questions, and I loved that there were plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable too!

Weekend Getaway

Love the location absolutely beautiful view of the ocean sail boats and motor boats. My favourite was the upper and lower decks breakfast and coffee on the upper deck and lazing the afternoon on the lower deck. Kitchen was well stocked, bathroom was stunning with extra features such as fog free mirror, towel warmer, lighting added a special touch and amazing shower. There was a nice breeze off the ocean and air conditioning inside. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back

This private & non-commercial guesthouse is hosted by a couple who have a sincere understanding of travelers. As a musician & violinist (husband), and an IT expert and fellow violin player (wife), they have traveled and worked in many countries before finally settling along the beautiful Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia. Once they journeyed out to see the world—now they open their doors to welcome the world in.

With expansive ocean views, sheltered and private with perennial gardens and decks, backed by hill, surrounded by apple trees, hawthorn trees, maple trees, wild roses, blue berries, raspberries, plus spacious lawn land.... the tree house feeling from the mature tree canopy combined with the mesmerizing sparkling water views and the soothing sounds of waves lapping below, create an intoxicating serenity. This is an idea place let you forget the hustle and bustle of outside world, enjoy the moment with your beloved ones.

You can lie on a deck chair on the seaside platform, let the sea breeze caress your face, and let the sound of the waves lull you to sleep. You can also go boating and swim on the cove. If you're looking for a lively nightlife, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the town center not far away. Even to Halifax city, it's only a 35-minute driving distance.
