Our stay in Ste. Calixte

Lovely home right on the lake. I am sad we couldn't spend more time there and maybe explorre the back yard and the water. We were visiitn family about 10 km away, so, very little time in that immaculate house. Massi was very responsive to my questions and was very gracious to deal with. A lovely place. Would like to go again when the weather (chilly weekend) and schedule permits.

The property was not that clean enough. Even water pressure was insufficient that we have to wait 2-3 minutes to fill a glass of water. We have to left the property without taking a shower. I feel like we paid little to much money to stay here. Even water colour was yellow, it looked like pee. The house was stinking(humid) and there were bugs and flies inside the house.

Terrible Vacation

We arrived at the cottage and found that the driveway is impossible to drive down. This means you have to carry all your bags down a long hill (we have a baby and he requires lots of different bags of items). Once we got in the cottage it STINKS like mould or rotting wood. Technically it is 1 bedroom not two because the second one is in the basement with no door or privacy from the upstairs. The hot tub was dirty. The dock was falling apart and unsafe. The entire property is on a hill so you can’t even enjoy the backyard. THE BARBECUE WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED all the grills falling apart. It would not start and the cherry on top was when I notified the owner I was lied to and told the barbecue worked before our stay. I felt ridiculed and disrespected. They left us with no paper towel, no aluminum foil, no plastic wrap, nothing to clean dishes with, no spices not even salt or pepper. There was no broom to sweep up a mess. Since we couldn’t use the barbecue we decided to use the oven but they had no baking trays or any oven safe dishes. The canoe was rotting and unsafe, kayaks are inflatable and barely work. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU CAN NOT SWIM HERE, because of the dock yes but there is also 100 feet of THICK weeds in the water and it is infested with catfish.Windows would get stuck open, AC unit was super old and not clean. So loud and shaking the window. Finally the weirdest part of the entire thing was the insane amount of cameras on the property. Creepy….

Nous avons quitté le chalet hier, une nuit à l’avance, car la situation est devenue complètement insupportable.Depuis notre arrivée, nous avons constaté de nombreux problèmes majeurs dans le chalet :La literie et les draps n’étaient pas fournis. Nous avons dû passer la première nuit sans couvertures, particulièrement pour les membres de la famille qui dormaient au sous-sol.Une forte odeur de moisissure était présente au sous-sol à cause d’une infiltration d’eau. De plus, plusieurs fenêtres du rez-de-chaussée restent constamment ouvertes parce que les mécanismes sont brisés.Deux heures après notre arrivée, l’électricité a été coupée et elle est restée inexistante jusqu’à notre départ. Aucune solution alternative n’a été proposée, comme une génératrice ou au minimum des chandelles et des allumettes pour dépanner.L’eau du chalet est pompée directement du lac sans filtration adéquate. L’eau est complètement jaune et dégage une odeur désagréable. Vous pouvez d’ailleurs constater ce problème dans plusieurs commentaires d’autres clients.La seule solution pour préparer de la nourriture pour les enfants était le barbecue. Malheureusement, les bonbonnes étaient vides. Lorsque nous avons contacté le numéro fourni par le propriétaire, on nous a demandé d’aller acheter nous-mêmes une nouvelle bonbonne. C’est un manque total de considération envers les clients.La literie était extrêmement sale et inutilisable. Je vais joindre des photos des oreillers

Chalet de mama

2ieme fois à ce chalet et nous avons beaucoup aimer, le calme et l'ambiance du chalet.
