ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTION

This is a 2-bedroom apartment located in the heart of downtown, a stone's throw from Place-des-arts. The location is ideal for fully enjoying the Montreal experience. There will be a description of the neighborhood a little further down.

YOUR ACCOMMODATION

The apartment has 2 closed bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a Queen bed and a double sofa bed. The other bedroom contains 2 single beds.

The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary equipment for cooking. There is a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, mixer, coffee machine, and a complete set of crockery.

The living room includes a 3-seater sofa and 2 loveseats. There is also a high dining table as well as 4 chairs. There is a 55” Roku smart television where you can listen to programs on Netflix, Amazon, Crave, YouTube, etc. There is a spacious work desk which is ideal for remote working or studying. The apartment is equipped with very fast unlimited internet (Fibe 1.5 gigabit).

Finally, the bathroom includes a shower with hot water, sink and toilet. Towels are provided as well as a hair dryer and a clothes steamer. There is also a mini washer and dryer available in the apartment.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

This is the best location in town, EVERYTHING can be done walking distance:
- 4 minutes from Place-des-arts (Place of festivities, shows and events)
- 7 minutes from the famous Sainte-Catherine Street (Shops, restaurants)
- 8 minutes from the lively Boulevard Saint-Laurent (Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, Shops)
- 10 minutes from rue Saint-Denis (Restaurants, Bars, Pubs, shops)
- 12 minutes from Chinatown
- 20 minutes from Old Montreal and the Old Port of Montreal
- 18 minutes from the convention center
- Close to universities and colleges (UQAM, Mcgill, Cegep du Vieux Montréal)

Public transportation (Place-des-arts metro station and bus) is also a 1-minute walk away and can take you anywhere in the city. There is also a BIXIE (city bike) station next to the apartment.

**Despite its central location, the street on which the apartment is located is quiet and residential (no bars or loud music at night). You will sleep peacefully there.

We picked Gaelle’s rental because of the location, price and parking. The description “rustic” was appropriate and the pictures were right on. It was comfortable for sleeping, having coffee or a glass of wine together. We walked everywhere so location was great but that being said we walked about 7 miles every day. The parking was easy once we figured out where the 24 hour entrance was for the parking garage. We shared that with Gaelle so it should be no problem from now on. There was parking on the street but we decided to leave our car all weekend in the garage. Gaelle’s place was exactly what we expected, easy to communicate and the price was right!! Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this VRBO for one night in Montreal. The location is convenient and within walking distance of many attractions, and we were fortunate to find free street parking nearby.Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the bedding sheets and pillowcases did not appear freshly laundered, and one sheet had a visible stain. As a result, we had to wash the bed linens ourselves before using them. The laundry facilities were small and made the process time-consuming and affecting our overall experience.

This rustic apt was clean and made a good base for lots of exploring. It is conveniently located to the metro and only a 20-40 minute walk to many restaurants, museums, & touristy areas. Gaelle was a wonderful host and very responsive to our many questions.If you plan to cook, bring a potholder & a dishtowel, as well as a hand towel and washcloths for the bathroom (bath towels and bedding were provided). The only issue we had was parking. The few on street parking spots were taken by residents who didn’t move their cars during our stay. There is a parking garage just down the road which costs 17ca every time you enter, for a maximum 24 hrs. (June 2026). Twice we were charged both to enter and exit even though the car was only there for 12 hrs. There was nobody around to answer questions or help resolve any issues. The buttons to push for help located at the exterior door and on the machines at the exit were recorded messages. The road that the apt is located on was very busy with constant traffic & sirens frequently passing during the night. There was a lot of construction around the area which might have led to higher traffic volume during our stay.

Cute Apartment, Great Location with Spot for Car, Property Manager Gaelle was Wonderful

This cute apartment is in a great location and included a spot for a car. We found this to be a rarity. We were able to walk and access public transit as desired, and still had the option of driving throughout the city, which allowed us to see many more parts of Montreal. Further, at one point when we had a problem, Gaelle was extremely responsive and absolutely wonderful. We appreciate all that she did to help us. Thank you, Gaelle, we had a great visit in Montreal.
