The house is quite nice. Very spacious, bright, clean, and new/refreshed throughout the interior. Perfect place for a large family gathering (we had 9 adults and 3 toddlers and there was plenty of room for all of us). Private pathway down to a beautiful beach right on Lake Michigan where we spent many fun hours. Only way the overall experience could be better is if the outdoor spaces (deck, patio, yard, etc.) were freshened up, we found these a bit warn and overgrown in places.

Our family, which included grandparents, adult children and 3 grandchildren, had a wonderful stay with Beach walk, Blueberry Hill. The house and property were beautiful. Everyone had enough room to spread out and enjoy the games and the outdoors. The kitchen was well stocked and even had some empty cupboards to store our things in, keeping the counters clear. All communications went smoothly. Having a private beach was such a bonus, and we made use of that every day. Just a heads up: There are 4 flights of stairs leading down to the beach that may be hard for someone with mobility issues to navigate.Thank you for helping us to make more family memories!!!

We had two adults, five teens and two dogs for our stay. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The property is also very lovely with nice outdoor space and an easy walk to Lake Michigan. We would love to return in warmer weather. We really enjoyed our stay.

South Haven a perfect haven in the fall

Everything was as advertised and the home was lovely. We enjoyed all the amenities and would go back again.

Perfect house for the 3 couples! Beautiful spaces for all of us. Great evenings watching sunsets on private beach below and chatting in the backyard at the fire pit. Definitely plan to return!

Lovely house

We had a fantastic stay! The house was gorgeous and cozy and had everything we needed. Beach is a short walk away and we got to experience beautiful sunsets. Perfect in every way!

Beautiful house

We loved everything about this beautiful house. Couldn’t figure out the shower connected to the Primary Bedroom though. Many memories were made and would love to stay here again!

We loved this property SO much! If you are in South Haven, this is the place to stay. The location cannot be beat, and a short walk to a basically private beach. The backyard is so relaxing with the fire pit, hot tub, and lounge area. Inside the house, there is SO much to do. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. We WILL be coming back. The layout of the house was perfect for our family to all spend the weekend together to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It is a charming older house. The kitchen was well stocked and most things we needed we found. Although we had to wash everything before use due to dried food or not being well cleaned. I usually just rinse items off with really hot water before use but extra scrubbing was necessary. The weather was beautiful so we also spent a lot of time outside. We were a little surprised how far the walk was to the beach access but the weather was beautiful so it wasn’t a big deal.

Valentine’s Weekend with Friends

Our group of five couples stayed Valentine’s Weekend. The house is perfect. Extremely clean and great location close to downtown. Plenty of room for everyone to gather. Short walk to a private beach on Lake Michigan.

Family Christmas

Loved Blueberry Hill! It’s larger than it looks, is family friendly, has tons of things to occupy any age and is well equipped for any chef Overall a wonderful couple of days. Would highly recommend to any family looking for a family home to enjoy time together

New Years 2024

Overall this property checked off all of the boxes for our stay. Plenty of space for everyone to gather or wander off. The kitchen/dining area was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and entertain. Perfect place for our annual family reunion/New Years Eve celebration!!

This was a wonderful choice for a multi-generational vacation. The house is spacious and well-appointed, with sufficient parking for several vehicles. The main floor has 3 bedrooms (one king and two queens), and there are two additional bedrooms on the second floor, which is set up to be flexible for use by kids or a mix of kids and adults. the upstairs bath has a very large, deep bathtub, perfect for bathing kids or a long luxurious soak for adults. The basement has lots of activity choices, including a ping pong table that saw a lot of use by our group. The private access beach was a real plus for our group, allowing flexibility that was especially appreciated with two small children in the mix who often were ready to return to the house before all the grown ups. There is a bit of a climb up and down a set of wooden stairs to get to the beach but there are chairs permanently stationed at the beach, and room on the sand for towels and umbrellas, so our group was able to settle in easily at the beach. The outdoor seating area under a pergola near the house was also popular with our group, allowing folks to read or socialize away from the bustle inside the house. There is a fully fenced-in side yard, which allowed the family pet to have some outdoor time without having to constantly be on leash. The house is conveniently located, with a very short driving distance to downtown South Haven and both the Saugatuck/Douglas and Holland areas are only about 20 minutes away.

Wonderful stay at blueberry hill

We had a great stay at blueberry hill! The house was lovely. Plenty of space for our extended family. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The backyard was great for the kids to run around in. We loved the fire pit. There was a beach at the bottom of the stairs which was unexpected but amazing! (Requires steep stairs and climbing over rocks but well worth it) The sunsets were awesome. We would absolutely stay again!

Excellent property. It was very clean and made for a fabulous long weekend for our book club. Guests should be aware that there are a lot of very steep steps to get to the private beach access. It was gorgeous and we enjoyed being on the beach, but if you have small children or individuals with physical limitations, they may not be able to access the beach. The only thing we thought was off was that the barn shown in all of the photos was not actually included in our stay. This was only discovered after we had booked and downloaded the app required to access the property at check in. It ended up being okay for us but this was not clear from the VRBO listing. It is an additional cost to include the barn in your stay. Hot tub and outdoor area was wonderful.

Comfortable and Spacious

We enjoyed our short get away and loved this home so very much. It's full of so much character and charm. It is spacious, yet so comfortable. The furniture and beds were very comfortable (which is not always the case in rental homes), and my kiddos enjoyed the hot tub and activities in the basement. We also enjoyed the short walk to the cliff to see Lake Michigan, and it was the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the water. While it was too cold for the beach, the home is so close to the beaches and parks, and down town where all the fun is during the summer months. We wanted down time with our family, and it's exactly what we got. I would love to stay in your home again and recommend it to others!

Lake Michigan Retreat

The house and property are amazing....great location....5 minutes from downtown South Haven. The only negatives I have is there are 5 bedrooms and there are only 4 bathrooms (one in the basement) so someone has to share which may be an issue for some. The access to the beach has about 30 stairs which was fine for our family but for older people or people with health issues it may be a problem. There are no TV's in the bedrooms....I think that all VRBO homes should have TV's in the bedrooms so people can retire to their bedrom to relax and watch TV prior to going to bed. Overall this is a great property and great location....the outside of the house is incredible. The hot tub, covered porch, and fire pit area are awesome for enjoying the perfect Michigan summer weather!!!!

Fantastic trip

Every thing was as advertised. Enjoyed using the grill and hot tub. Distance from beach and down town was found to be perfect for us. Would rent this house again no questions asked.
