Spectacular Views Await You At The Treetops Suite.

Treetops is perched at the top of a hill & affords stunning views of ocean, trees, boats and wildlife.
Sip your morning coffee/tea on the private deck.

Welcome to the island I have loved for 38 years.
With a family and a job I cannot always be present on the island, which is why I chose to share my special space with other like minded people who will enjoy all that Treetops will have to offer.

The Eagle Suite is for the budget conscious. It’s warm, comfortable & clean with simple furnishings. Only minutes from town, the 600 squ ft suite has a living room, kitchen & bedroom. There’s tv & movies but the best entertainment is the view. In the evenings you can view star galaxies & early mornings, spectacular sunrises.
The space
This property is a perfect retreat if you’re looking for a quiet escape, away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Yet only minutes from the island’s many attractions.

There’s complimentary coffee & tea and all necessary staples.

Furnishings are simple. & functional. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there’s a fold up bed and/ or a pull out sofa bed for a guest. Please request this when booking

There’s also a tv, dvd and movies. . Lots of games and books too. In warmer months, the deck offers nightly starry skies and a breathtaking view.
If you are a restless sleeper ( hopefully not), head out to the deck to watch the spectacular sunrise.

Unfortunately , this is not a handicap accessible suite. The driveway is steep.

We like to keep guests comfortable and happy while keeping the price as affordable as possible. It’s simple not luxurious.

Eat your meals on the deck. Have an afternoon nap in the hammock. Get the best of it all in bright natural surroundings just a few minutes drive from Ganges. It’s not surprising that birds like nesting here too.
Guest access
The suite is entirely self contained and is on the lower level of the house. It is not a basement suite. The upper suite is a long term rental.
Other things to note
We regret having to charge a cleaning fee. But none of these services that are normally included in the city, are free.
We pay extra for garbage and recycling and water taxes.

We were very comfortable in this apartment with plenty of room to read and play games. We enjoyed the spacious deck with views of trees, water, and boats. We didn't cook, as we visited lots of SSI coffee shops and restaurants, but the kitchen is well stocked. We'll certainly tell friends about this lovely spot.

Amazing water views and loved the trees. Warm and cosy, very quiet. We both slept well. Very good shower, lots of hot water. Quick drive down to Ganges and the market ! Thank you Terry and Jean.

Lovely property with all the basic amenities. Location was just a little too far (and uphill) to easily walk into Ganges, so a car is needed.

Place was great, clean with nice views. Owner hadgreat in correspondence, hyda-bed could have been more comfortable, but was what we were expecting for a pull out bed.

Rustic and cozy with everything you need in a kitchen. It was lovely sitting in the deck watching the sunrise and listening to birds. Very steep driveway, 2 options for parking but when arrive it’s easier to park at top of drive to unload vehicle. It’s a shared property (own entrance) and often hear people upstairs but this doesn’t detract from the charm of this place. Central location to explore SS Island. Would we stay here again, yes

Tree House Stay

Beautiful views in the mornings and evenings lifted and rejuvenated the spirit. The accommodation had everything you need and extras. It is well set up and located for beach and town visits. I highly recommend this place.

The property is well located, and has a lovely view. It was well equipped and clean. The bed was comfortable. The upstairs tenants were not loud, but their TV, and steps can be heard through the floor. The driveway is quite steep and narrow making it challenging to park in the halfway spot provided, (this accommodated my small rental car, but would not fit a large SUV or Truck), as the upper spot was being used by the tenant to charge their car. I would of parked on the road, but it was too steep and a fair distance to the door for me to park and walk up with a recent knee injury. Overall I enjoyed my stay both at the Suite and Salt Spring Island.

I’m sorry to hear that parking was more challenging than you expected, especially while dealing with a recent knee injury. The guest parking area has historically accommodated two large vehicles, and our own large SUV is regularly parked there without difficulty. This is the first time a guest has raised a concern about the size of the space. The steep driveway and the parking arrangements are also described in the listing, so it may have been helpful to discuss your specific parking needs with us before your arrival, given your injury. We would have been happy to explore possible options with you. Regarding the sounds from the upstairs suite, we appreciate your understanding that the tenants were not being excessively loud. As noted in the listing, the property is a lower-level suite in an occupied home, so guests may occasionally hear normal footsteps, voices, or television sounds from neighboring occupants, similar to what one might experience in a condominium, apartment building, or hotel. Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing your feedback. We appreciate it and wish you a speedy recovery with your knee.

Ganges Getaway

This was a great property for a short stay close to Ganges. The property was clean, easy to access, and provided great views. Jen was a great host. Make sure you have a vehicle as walking in to town takes at least an hour and the trip is quite hilly.

Simple, comfortable and functional

We had a pleasant stay. This property is as described. Everything works well. It is comfortable, well laid out, and was a pleasure to stay in. The location is good: close to Ganges and in a very quiet neighborhood. Jen, the host, was responsive to any questions we had. It is not luxurious but everything works as it should. Our only suggestion is that the deck needs more furniture.

We were surprised and disappointed to receive this guest’s review, particularly given the time and attention we took to respond to her questions and ensure a comfortable stay with many complimentary items 1. The bathroom: Yes, the bathroom is small, and our pricing reflects the nature of the accommodation. Many of the additional fees are charged by Vrbo, not by us, and our own rate remains one of the most competitive on Salt Spring Island. 2. The description: Had the guest carefully read the property description before booking, she would have known the bathroom’s size and could have chosen alternative accommodation if a larger bathroom was important to her. 3. The property itself: We always do our best to ensure our guests have everything they need for a clean, comfortable and functional stay. However, this is a private island property, not the Four Seasons! 😂 Our deck offers spectacular views but is naturally exposed to the elements. Guests looking for the polished, predictable experience of a five-star hotel might be happier choosing one for their next vacation. A note to fellow hosts: From the moment this guest booked, she asked no fewer than nine questions, ant different times, including complaints about Vrbo’s payment procedures. We responded to every question promptly, clearly and politely. In light of this experience, i would encourage other hosts to consider carefully whether this guest’s expectations are a good match for their property before accepting a booking.

Beautiful quiet location with great view of the water. Clean apartment, comfortable bed and close drive into town. Host was easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay at the Treetops for 4 nights!
