Great location to enjoy Cooperstown! It’s wonderful to wake up to the sounds of a working dairy farm!

Unique Farm Retreat

This met our needs as a home base for a few days in Cooperstown. It was an enjoyable drive to and from Cooperstown where we visited the Baseball Hall of Fame. We enjoyed seeing all of the farm animals. The apartment could use some cosmetic updates, but the beds were comfortable and clean. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Great for animal lovers

I wish it weren't so rainy and muddy during our stay but that still didn't stop us from checking out the milking process. Thank you to the kids for giving us a tour.

4th of July family farm trip

We all had a great time. Easy going family with wonderful farm stand to buy goods for breakfast, lunch,dinners even ice cream right from their farm. So many other things in the stand to purchase. The puppies were such a big hit with our whole family. Getting to see a working farm was a very cool experience we all will keep with us for years to come.

Beautiful Farm

We originally chose the property because it was close to my family, so I already knew the local area was very nice and peaceful. I was also pleased to find that the accommodations were clean exactly as represented in the listing. The family is so sweet and friendly! It was great to see an active working farm, and the little farm store was great. I left with lots of products:-)

We were very happy with our stay in the quiet and lovely rolling countryside. We didn't expect a perfect spotless place, and we didn't get it, and that's perfectly OK. This is a working farm with a large family, plus the usual chickens, sheep, dairy cows, and several very friendly dogs! It's a well-lived-in one-floor apartment above a large basement. The sleeping arrangements were nice for just two of us. It'd be pretty tight quarters for 6 people IMO. We also had a couple of lovely morning walks. Just wish we could have timed our comings and goings to be able to meet the whole family.

Highly recommend!

We will certainly try to come back! We are so happy we found this house. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The house is clean, cosy and you have everything you need there. Our 8 years old loved all animals on the farm and especially super friendly and smart dogs! We also liked meat, eggs, honey and dairy products available at this farm. Next time we will get a large fridge bag to get more food back home.

Even though it was the middle of Hay season on a working, well kept, dairy farm, the host was responsive to the last-minute addition of a guest on 24hours notice. Due to the high demand for accommodations and need for a fast turnover this time of year some small items, like hand soap, shampoo, were not at levels you might expect but there was an abundance of clean towels. The microwave, fancy Keurig, and 4 slice toaster were in good working order, the refrigerator was clean and adequate for our needs.The place is comfortable and casual like a well broken in pair of shoes. The mattresses are far more comfortable than I expected and there are extra pillows and clean blankets. The atmosphere is welcoming and very safe: I did not feel I had to lock my car.The three children greeted us at the self-serve farm store and helped us select grass fed beef, sausage sticks, and delicious ice cream sandwiches, while the 5 Golden Retrievers vied for attention and the lone Beagle ignored us.All of the animals are in clean and healthy spaces, the pastures are rotated daily; in summer there are some flies, as the host truthfully mentioned, but the farm smells are minimal. The rooster negates any need for setting an alarm clock!My only words of caution are about the stairs and absence of grab bars in the bathroom. I am 80 years old, two of my younger guests also have mobility issues There is an inside and an outside set of stairs. Both have handrails; the outside one lacks a top landing.

We're glad the beds, kitchen appliances, and farm atmosphere made your stay comfortable, and that the kids and dogs gave you a proper farm welcome. We're sorry the hand soap and shampoo weren't stocked at the level you'd expect, we're usually easy to reach and could have restocked from our pantry if asked. We also apologize that the bathroom layout doesn't allow for grab bars, which is why we note the second-story space isn't handicap accessible. As for the outside stairs lacking a top landing, that's how they've been for a while, but your input is noted if we look at upgrades down the road.

We absolutely loved staying here. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. Let us observe the milking and see all the animals. The unit is on the second floor up narrow stairs which was fine for us. The second bedroom is off the kitchen with no door. Only mentioning in case someone expects otherwise. It isn’t fancy, but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We were completely charmed with everything there. Loved drinking our morning coffee while watching the cows come rambling in. We would gladly stay again if in the area.

I had high expectations for this place. It seemed so welcoming with the farm animals and cute dogs! However, things turned weird really fast. There were flies EVERYWHERE. I’m not talking about outside, they were INSIDE and they were all barely alive?? The hosts did not welcome nor bid us farewell during our stay as most reviewers seem to have stated. We were very respectful of the place and even had to clean the bathroom and kitchen due to the amount of flies that were EVERYWHERE. The only reason I rated the place 2/5 stars is because of the puppies and dogs that were so happy to greet us. Realistically, it’s a good place to get away. However, the hosts failed to make us feel welcomed in any way and didn’t even respond when I brought this issue to their attention. I hope they can do better because it’s a cute farm.
